They had no desire to align themselves with the other great clans. Forming alliances with such families would undoubtedly co at a steep cost.
After all, every major clan was like a beast that devoured everything in its path, leaving nothing behind.
The Senju clan's current weakened state ant that forging a political marriage with one of the great clans might prevent their total suppression and eventual erasure from Konoha, but it would co at a heavy price. The allied family would surely siphon off the Senju's remaining resources to bolster their own strength.
On the other hand, a shinobi of civilian origin presented no such risks. Without a clan to look after, they had no familial interests to protect.
However, it was exceedingly rare for a civilian shinobi to possess extraordinary talent due to their lack of inherited bloodlines.

The three Senju silently prayed.

Isamu spat out a volley of high-pressure water blasts that surged from every direction toward Jiraiya.
"Earth Style: Multiple Earth-Style Walls!"
With a resounding clap against the ground, Jiraiya summoned walls of earth on all sides, effectively shielding himself from the incoming attacks.
Multiple Earth-Style Walls was an advanced version of the standard Earth-Style Wall, allowing for multiple barriers to be raised simultaneously with enhanced durability.
"Water Style: Severing Wave!"
A sharp, high-pressure jet of water shot from Isamu's mouth, slicing through the air at incredible speed. This technique, one of the most devastating water-style jutsu, could easily cut through even reinforced tal.

The water jet shredded through the earth walls as though they were paper.
Jiraiya was forced to rely on the Body Flicker Technique to evade, but the water jet's speed, combined with the limited space to maneuver, left little room for error.
One slip was all it took—his arm was struck, and a gaping hole appeared where the water had hit. Oddly, there was no blood.
With a resounding puff, the figure of Jiraiya dissolved into smoke.
"A shadow clone?"
Isamu's sharp eyes narrowed as he scanned the ground. If he had hit a clone, then Jiraiya must have used an Earth Style technique to burrow underground.
Before Isamu could locate him, Jiraiya erged from his left flank, swinging the Lightning Fla Blade in a powerful arc. A dazzling streak of energy erupted toward Isamu.
"Water Style: Water Formation Wall!"
A massive curtain of water rose to intercept the strike, neutralizing the incoming energy.
"Fire Style: Great Dragon Fire Technique!"
Jiraiya hurled the Lightning Fla Blade, unleashing a burst of fire chakra that exploded into a blazing dragon.
The roaring beast, cloaked in searing flas, charged toward Isamu, radiating intense heat that warped the air around it.
Isamu's expression turned serious as he sensed the sheer destructive power emanating from the flaming dragon. He had heard Tsunade ntion this technique before.
This was the jutsu Jiraiya had used to defeat a jōnin.
"So, you're already resorting to your trump card," Isamu muttered with a hint of disappointnt.
"This jutsu is indeed impressive," he admitted, "but it poses no real threat to ."
"Water Style: Great Waterfall Technique!"
With a series of rapid hand signs, Isamu summoned a torrent of water infused with chakra. Towering waves surged forth, crashing into the Fla Dragon and extinguishing it in a violent spray of steam and water.
The Great Waterfall Technique, an A-rank water-style jutsu, unleashed imnse power capable of overwhelming even advanced techniques.
"After expending so much chakra on that last jutsu, you must be running low. This fight is over," Isamu said coldly, his gaze fixed on Jiraiya. "Leave now. I have no desire to harm you further."
Isamu's tone carried a faint hint of concern. He knew his sister Tsunade cared deeply for Jiraiya. Injuring him too severely would only upset her, sothing he wished to avoid.
"You're right, that technique cost a lot of chakra," Jiraiya said with a grin. "But in the ti it took you to finish that sentence, I've already recovered what I spent."
Isamu blinked in disbelief.
"What?"
Jiraiya's confident smile didn't waver.
"Having a body like mine has its perks. My chakra regeneration is practically limitless, as long as I don't overdo it with large-scale S-rank techniques."
Isamu felt a chill run down his spine. This wasn't normal. Chakra recovery had never been this quick.
"Impossible," Isamu murmured. "Are you hiding a special bloodline?"
A flicker of intrigue replaced his previous indifference. If Jiraiya truly had so unique heritage, then even as a civilian shinobi, he could be invaluable to the Senju clan.
"Earth Style: Mud Fall!"
Jiraiya's hands flew through a series of seals before slamming them onto the ground. Above Isamu, the air distorted, and a massive slab of red-tinged earth began descending from a rift in space.
Isamu looked up, his expression unreadable.
"Even the Hokage entrusted you with this technique. It seems he holds you in high regard," Isamu remarked, maintaining his composure as he ford his own seals.
"Exploding Water Columns!"
Three pillars of water shot up from the ground, colliding with the descending earth.
Boom!
The earth shattered into countless fragnts, raining debris over the battlefield as the water columns dispersed into droplets.
"You've yet to fully master that jutsu," Isamu said evenly, brushing off bits of dirt from his shoulders.
Jiraiya sighed. "True, but let's see how you handle this next one."
Electric arcs began crackling around him as he ford another set of hand seals. Lightning sparked to life, growing more intense with each passing mont.
