The Lightning Release Armor surrounding the Raikage was one of the most formidable taijutsu techniques in the shinobi world. Not only did it drastically enhance his speed and attack power, but it also provided an exceptional level of defense.
The Third Raikage, in particular, was renowned as both the "strongest shield" and the "strongest spear." In the original story, he single-handedly fought against ten thousand Iwagakure shinobi for three days and nights to cover his comrades' retreat, ultimately perishing from exhaustion. He was also the one who subdued the Eight-Tails during its rampages, even severing one of its horns.
His combat prowess was nothing short of extraordinary.
As the Raikage crashed into the ground, the impact created a massive crater. However, in the next instant, a bolt of lightning surged upward as he propelled himself back into the air. His right leg crackled with intense lightning chakra as he swung it downward in a devastating axe-kick, resembling a blade of pure thunder.
Jiraiya, piloting his Guardian Deity, clenched its massive fist and countered with a powerful punch.
The two forces collided, but after only a few seconds, the Raikage was once again sent flying.
Though the Raikage was incredibly strong, his raw power still fell short compared to Jiraiya's Guardian Deity.
Unlike the Thunder Deity and Fla Deity, which Jiraiya had previously summoned, the Guardian Deity was on an entirely different level. Ford from an imnse reserve of Sage Chakra and further enhanced by the power of Shukaku, it far surpassed the other two in strength. anwhile, the Thunder Deity and Fla Deity, controlled by Jiraiya's shadow clones, were struggling against the Tsuchikage and Mizukage. Their previously solid forms were beginning to flicker, showing signs of instability.
"He's still holding up after creating such an entity? His chakra reserves are absurd," the Tsuchikage muttered to the Mizukage, glancing at Jiraiya with narrowed eyes. He had summoned an enormous rock golem to aid him in battle, but compared to Jiraiya's Guardian Deity, it was nowhere near as formidable.
Realizing that the Thunder Deity and Fla Deity wouldn't last much longer, Jiraiya knew he had to end his battle with the Raikage quickly. If the Tsuchikage and Mizukage managed to defeat his clones, he would be forced into an even more difficult fight.
His gaze flicked toward Hiruzen Sarutobi's battlefield.
The Two-Tails and Five-Tails had fully transford into their tailed beast forms, launching relentless attacks against Hiruzen. Working in perfect sync with Enma, Hiruzen managed to hold his ground, but unlike Jiraiya, he couldn't simply shatter the incoming Tailed Beast Bombs. Instead, he had to evade them, which resulted in the surrounding mountains trembling under the relentless bombardnt.
Fortunately, the Fire and Wind Country shinobi were already locked in chaotic combat, preventing the Tailed Beasts from using their most devastating techniques freely. If they did, the battlefield would be littered with the corpses of Konoha's forces.
"Summoning Jutsu!"
Jiraiya ford a seal and summoned Fukasaku and Shima.
"Fukasaku-sama, Shima-sama, I need you to perform the Demonic Illusion: Toad Confrontation Chant," he instructed in a firm tone.
"Understood, Jiraiya-boy," Fukasaku responded with a nod.
Both elder toads clapped their hands together, and soon, a deep, resonating croak echoed through the battlefield. At the sa ti, a similar sound emanated from Jiraiya's stomach. The layered soundwaves rged into an overwhelming sonic attack directed at the Raikage.
Although his Lightning Release Armor granted him imnse defense, it provided little resistance against genjutsu.
As the eerie chant reached his ears, the Raikage's body froze in place. His consciousness was dragged into an illusionary world where four massive stone toads surrounded him, each brandishing a sword aid at his chest.
Since genjutsu attacked the mind, and the Raikage lacked any real defense against such techniques, the illusion easily pierced through his will. His real body trembled violently, his expression twisting in agony.
"Damn it! The Raikage's caught in a genjutsu! Mizukage, cover !" the Tsuchikage shouted in alarm.
Understanding the urgency of the situation, the Mizukage imdiately launched her counterattack. Water surged from her mouth, forming a massive dragon that coiled around Jiraiya's Fla Deity, locking it in place.
The clash of fire and water created an explosion of steam, rapidly shrinking the water dragon's size as it evaporated. However, due to its imnse volu, it didn't dissipate instantly and managed to montarily restrain the Fla Deity's movents.
anwhile, the Tsuchikage seized the opening and flew toward the Raikage and Jiraiya.
"Release!"
He rapidly weaved hand seals before slamming his palm against the Raikage's back.
In the original story, the Raikage had fallen to Uchiha Madara's genjutsu, only to be freed by Ōnoki. Now, the old Tsuchikage was attempting the sa tactic against Jiraiya's illusion.
The Demonic Illusion: Toad Confrontation Chant was one of Mount Myōboku's most advanced genjutsu, crafted by the Great Toad Sage himself. Its power far exceeded that of the Uchiha Clan's illusions. Moreover, Jiraiya had an imnse pool of Sage Chakra to fuel it, making it even more potent and long-lasting.
Even with Ōnoki's intervention, the Raikage barely showed signs of breaking free. His body was still paralyzed within the illusionary realm, where the stone toads' swords had already impaled him.
Yet, his soul remained bound to his body. He had not yet succumbed to the illusion's final grasp.
As Ōnoki desperately worked to shatter the genjutsu, Jiraiya's expression turned grim. Without hesitation, he began forming hand seals at an alarming speed.
"Reaper Death Seal!"
Jiraiya had never used this forbidden technique before, but now was the perfect opportunity. With the Raikage trapped in genjutsu, summoning the Shinigami to extract his soul was the most efficient way to end the battle.
As he completed the final seal, an ominous force erupted from his body. The very fabric of space behind him was torn open, revealing a ghastly figure with wild white hair, crimson horns, and an eerie, purplish-blue complexion. The Death God held a jagged dagger in one hand and a string of prayer beads in the other.
"What is this jutsu?!"
Ōnoki's eyes widened in horror as an overwhelming sense of dread washed over him. Cold sweat dripped down his wrinkled forehead as he stared at the monstrous entity Jiraiya had summoned.
"Jiraiya-boy, stop! This technique requires your soul as a sacrifice!" Fukasaku shouted in alarm.
Shima's voice echoed his concern, "If you go through with this, you won't survive!"
But Jiraiya's gaze remained firm. The battle had reached its peak, and he was ready to do whatever it took to end it.
