Chapter 704: Konoha’s Deploynt and the Reborn Akatsuki
Hidan felt that Nagato seed to have changed. He had beco very confident. The previous leader, although powerful, was very reclusive. He would never have appeared before them in his true form so openly like this. While this might be partly due to the Six Paths of Pain being exposed, a larger reason was that Nagato had acquired even greater strength, which gave him imnse self-confidence. It made him completely unconcerned, even appearing before everyone in his true body.
"Leader! What are we going to Konoha for this ti? Is it to capture the Tailed Beasts again?"
Tailed Beasts? This question was asked by Kakuzu.
But Nagato just smiled. "No! No! Not this ti!"

This was the promise Nagato had made to them back then: not only to provide them with a sanctuary but also to lead them in creating peace in the shinobi world. If this experint succeeded, then all ninjutsu, all forbidden jutsu, could be released through their scientific ninja tools. This would be an astonishing creation... a change that would be recorded in the annals of human history. So, naturally, Orochimaru could not leave at this critical mont.
Nagato, Konan, White Zetsu, and Black Zetsu—who had been enslaved by scientific ninja tools and was being controlled by White Zetsu as an energy source. In the new era, Jigen and the others were all too aware of what Black Zetsu had done and what abilities it possessed, and they had taken it down with ease. The lineup was already quite luxurious. After all, the Hidden Cloud’s ninja followed an elite path; with fewer numbers, they couldn’t be stopped.
