Lightning coursed over Sasuke's body, radiating outward and scorching the ground around him.
Such a display was far beyond the abilities of ordinary shinobi.
Just the act of covering oneself in lightning was not sothing easily achieved.
Yet Sasuke went further, unleashing lightning that burned the surrounding ground black.
This demonstrated Sasuke's unparalleled control over lightning.
To have reached this level of mastery at his age made Guren begin to grasp Sasuke's terrifying potential.
But if this was all, it wasn't enough to qualify him as Orochimaru's so-called perfect vessel.

With that, Guren raised her hand.

Countless crystalline shuriken materialized out of thin air and launched at Sasuke with the speed and intensity of a Gatling gun.
Haku moved to intervene.
However, in the next instant, Sasuke's lightning surged.
"Chidori Stream!"

The lightning around Sasuke beca visibly more intense.
Like a rising tide, the electricity expanded outward, raging ferociously.
The sound of thunderclaps was more deafening than before.
Every crystalline shuriken that approached Sasuke shattered in the storm of lightning.
Anything that touched Sasuke's electric aura was obliterated, crushed by its sheer power.
Sasuke stood motionless, not even lifting a finger.
This defensive Lightning Style jutsu required no hand seals, and it completely nullified Guren's attack.
Guren's face betrayed her shock, but she refused to give up.
Gritting her teeth, she ford another hand seal.
"Let's see what else you've got, brat!"
"Crystal Style: Crystal Dragon!"
With a crackling sound, a crimson crystal dragon erged, roaring as it rose into the sky behind Guren.
Its erald eyes locked onto Sasuke.
The next mont, it lunged toward Sasuke, its massive maw descending from above.
Sasuke smirked.
He unsheathed the Kusanagi Sword from his back and activated Chidori.
Lightning coursed along the blade, making it emit a sound akin to a bird's chirping.
Though Sasuke hadn't wielded the Kusanagi Sword for long, the weapon was now infused with his Lightning Style chakra, slowly etching a lightning rune onto the blade.
The rune, which extended just ten centiters from the hilt, marked the sword's transformation toward becoming a Lightning-enhanced weapon.
When used with Lightning Style, the Kusanagi Sword's power was amplified.
And with Chidori...
This was Chidori Blade, a variant of Chidori.
The technique redirected the concentrated lightning from Sasuke's palm to the sword's edge.
Though a derivative of Chidori, it required precise control to channel the lightning onto the blade, a feat that posed no challenge for Sasuke.
Unlike the original Sasuke from the canon, who rely infused Lightning chakra into the Kusanagi Sword, this Sasuke used the full power of Chidori.
There was a clear distinction between infusing Lightning chakra and employing a fully developed Lightning jutsu.
The difference was akin to the impact of a grenade detonating in place versus the focused force of a bullet fired from a gun.
Both relied on explosive power, but their effectiveness varied significantly.
Sasuke's current Chidori Blade was far more devastating.

Suddenly, lightning flashed.
The blade's lightning pierced through the crystal dragon, shattering it entirely.
The fragnts dissolved into powder and vanished, leaving only the radiant lightning of Sasuke's blade.
With one strike, he had obliterated Guren's Crystal Dragon.
"This guy... is incredibly strong!"
Holding the Chidori Blade, Sasuke finally moved his left hand.
Guren noticed his actions and froze.
"Single-handed seals?"
"That ice-style ninja did it earlier, and now this brat too? Since when did single-handed seals beco so common?"
Before Guren could finish her thought, she heard a deafening crack.
A bolt of lightning surged toward her.
Unable to react in ti, she felt another flash behind her.
The sound of chirping birds filled her ears as the electrified Kusanagi Sword stopped just at her neck.
The searing heat of the lightning had already scorched her skin.
Guren swallowed hard, gulping multiple tis.
Her pupils gradually dilated as she replayed the scene from monts ago in her mind.
"What... what technique was that?"
"Just now?"
Sasuke smiled faintly.
"Lightning Style: Lightning Body Flicker."
"What a powerful technique!"
Although the bolt of lightning was clearly visible, its speed was so blindingly fast that no normal person could have reacted in ti.
The sound was loud, but the speed surpassed even the sound itself.
"I created it myself. I think it's pretty effective it makes dealing with weaker shinobi effortless."
"Created it yourself?"
Guren finally started to understand why Orochimaru called this kid the perfect vessel.
He truly outshone her in every way.
To possess such strength at his age he was a monster among monsters.
She realized she was completely outclassed, unable to hold her ground even for a single round.
"Alright!"
"Take us to find the Three-Tails. Before coming here, Orochimaru told I have full authority over this mission."
"Help us capture the Three-Tails, and I'll bring you back to the Sound Village base. There, you can see Lord Orochimaru again and stay by his side forever."
Hearing Sasuke's words, the despondency in Guren's eyes quickly disappeared, replaced by hope and joy.
"Really?"
"Lord Sasuke?"
Now it was "Lord Sasuke"?
Sasuke was speechless.
If he had known it would be this easy, he would have said this from the start.
