Of course, this is the normal traveling speed; if they were to go at full speed, it would take only about two days to reach the destination, excluding the ti spent on a boat.
Sasuke and the others weren't in a rush and didn't need to hurry.
Along the way, Sasuke used the ti to begin so training.
Apart from wanting to quickly learn the Wood Release technique, Sasuke also needed to improve his overall evaluation to the level of a Jonin.
Based on previous experience, he would need to improve all his techniques to a level comparable to that of a Jonin.
