White Zetsu winked, and Obito instantly understood what he ant.
His right eye activated Kamui, forming a distorted space, sucking in both himself and Zetsu.
Shisui laughed slightly. "It seems sothing bad has happened."
Since Zetsu didn't dare say it in front of him, it had to be serious.
But Obito had no ti to argue with Shisui. He used Kamui and vanished with White Zetsu.
Less than five minutes after the two left, Sasuke strolled into the base.
Shisui's pupils narrowed faintly. Was it finally about to begin?
This battle had been set from the start.
"After this battle, my mission should be complete. We're nearing the end," Shisui murmured to himself.
In the Kamui space...
"What's the matter?" Obito asked in a deep voice.
If Zetsu didn't want to say it in front of Shisui, it wasn't good news.
White Zetsu replied, "My clone was killed. Guts appeared at the place where Nagato was fighting Six Tails."
Though his mask hid his expression, his tone betrayed panic. "That guy... was it a coincidence, or preditated?"
Black Zetsu added hoarsely, "I don't know, but Nagato is the key. If Guts finds and kills him, everything will fall apart."
"Could it be Shisui who leaked the info...?"
It wasn't like Obito to make mistakes in planning. If there was a leak, it had to be Shisui or Itachi.
But now wasn't the ti to investigate.
They needed to rush to the Land of Tea at full speed.
If Guts succeeded... it would be a disaster.
Losing Rinnegan ant losing the chance for Infinite Tsukuyomi.
Even Black Zetsu, who had planned for over a thousand years, was anxious.
Obito's near-constant use of Kamui had long been sustained by Hashirama cells implanted by Madara. But even that only reduced the damage — not eliminated it.
Like any advanced ninjutsu, overuse brought consequences.
Now Obito was warping across the Fire Country nonstop, trying to reach the Tea Country. It drained him.
But he couldn't let Project Tsukuyomi fail.
He had lost too much already by being late.
He would never be late again.
anwhile, in the Tea Country...
Utakata, now in a tailed beast state, had temporarily restrained Pain's Six Paths.
Yet Tendo Pain's expression didn't show panic.
"Very strong. This is the kind of strength we want," he said coldly.
"ROAR!!!"
The beast-tailed Utakata let out a furious shout.
Though he'd lost reason, he still retained combat instinct.
The one that absorbed chakra — Gakido — had to be eliminated first.
He lunged, a blur of red chakra, at Gakido Pain.
But the others noticed imdiately.
"Summoning Technique!" Chikushodo Pain summoned a tin panda shield to intercept Utakata's assault.
WHAM!
Utakata's limbs and body crashed into it.
"Aaaargh!!!" he roared.
But then ca the pain — Pain's black chakra rods pierced into his flesh, flooding his body with foreign chakra.
He collapsed, powerless.
"Six Tails, capture complete," Tendo Pain said coldly.
WHOOSH!!!
A sharp whistle cut through the air.
Tendo Pain's face changed. He instinctively raised his right hand.
"Almighty Push!"
BOOM!!!
Repulsive force crushed the incoming object reduced to fragnts.
He looked at the remnants. "Stone?"
The flying rock had shattered, but its sheer power made Nagato tense.
"A man with strength like this..."
Tendo Pain twisted his wrist. He didn't need to he was a corpse but old habits died hard.
"Yo."
Guts appeared before the Six Paths of Pain.
A wide grin showed white teeth.
"You..." Tendo Pain's face darkened. His mind flashed to the nightmare of sixteen years ago.
"There's no change at all. No breath of life in your body... still playing house?" Guts said with a chuckle.
In his hidden chamber, Nagato's eyes flickered but he didn't answer.
He simply said, "I knew we'd et sooner or later. Since you've co to , I'll just solve the problem early."
Next to him, Konan's eyes widened slightly. "Nagato... your current chakra—?"
