"AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"

From deep within the sealed chamber ca blood-curdling screams hoarse, primal, and filled with agony. The sound alone made Kabuto's skin crawl.

Even he, after years of conducting grisly experints and hearing countless cries, reflexively adjusted his glasses.

Kimimaro had always possessed an inhuman tolerance for pain. For him to be screaming like this the tornt had to be beyond imagination.

"I wonder... Will it work? If it does..."

His lenses glinted under the cold light.

Kimimaro's bloodline illness had already been given a death sentence by none other than Orochimaru himself. Realistically, only the legendary Tsunade Senju might have had a sliver of hope to cure him.

No—maybe not even she could.

It was a disease rooted in his [Kekkei Genkai]. Nearly impossible to treat. Kabuto waited silently by the door, lost in thought.

The screams gradually faded, from piercing wails to hoarse groans, until finally... silence.

The more irreversible the condition, the more the body needed to be transford and the more excruciating the process beca.

After a long pause, Kabuto cautiously approached, peering through a narrow slit in the door.

BOOM!

A sharp crack shattered the silence as a massive bone spike blew the door off its hinges. Kabuto leaped back instantly, frowning.

What the hell just happened?

"Food..."

Food?

"I need food!"

A skeletal, hollow-eyed Kimimaro erged, wild with hunger. His glowing green eyes resembled a starving wolf.

Kabuto imdiately understood. The procedure had drained massive amounts of energy. He ntally added that to the data log.

"Kimimaro, calm down. I'll bring food right away. Don't let Lord Orochimaru down."

Kimimaro had raised his arm, and bone spikes were ready to fly until the ntion of Orochimaru stopped him cold.

That na alone restored so clarity to his mind. He forced himself to resist the violent urge.

Seeing this, Kabuto sprang into action. He rushed out and ordered a feast to be prepared while grabbing a few vials of [Nutrient Formula].

Returning quickly, he tossed the vials toward the gaunt figure.

"Drink this it'll help take the edge off your hunger."

Kimimaro, seated cross-legged on the floor, caught the vial and chugged it down in one gulp. The green glow in his eyes dimd slightly.

Sowhere behind them, Orochimaru had appeared, silent as a shadow. His slit-pupiled eyes were locked onto Kimimaro, almost glowing with heat.

It worked.

It actually worked.

He hadn't dared to believe it. Even with Kimimaro's willpower, the odds of the [Regeneration Hormone] working were barely one or two percent.

The early test data was promising, but the [Substance] itself remained unreplicable.

The Effect was clear it triggered biological rebirth, awakening latent vitality through painful tamorphosis. Fascinating, yes. But hard to scale.

That's why Orochimaru had left it to Kabuto to monitor he didn't want to invest further effort.

But Kimimaro pulled through.

And that changed everything.

With a confird success case, the implications shifted entirely.

Orochimaru gave no further orders, only instructed Kabuto to feed Kimimaro as much as he could handle while carefully observing his condition.

Kimimaro, anwhile, felt like a furnace had ignited inside him. His instincts howled for more fuel.

The food disappeared into him like water into a sponge. His body wasn't bloating it was replenishing, becoming whole again.

Both Orochimaru and Kabuto found this fascinating and logged every detail.

Orochimaru flicked his tongue with intrigue.

"Accelerated digestion. Self-repair chanisms kicking in at full force. It's... breathtaking. It defies everything I've studied."

Kabuto adjusted his glasses again. "It might be the sa reason you can't replicate it. So unknown variable is triggering the Effect."

Orochimaru's eyes darkened slightly, but he nodded. That was the most reasonable explanation.

As more data ca in, they continued observing. Eventually, Kimimaro stopped eating, his digestion stabilized, and his body returned to normal intake.

He rose, still thin but far healthier than before.

"Lord Orochimaru... I did not let you down."

Orochimaru examined him from head to toe, even touching his limbs, completely satisfied.

This was once his pri candidate for a new vessel until the [Bloodline Disease] made him unsuitable.

Now that Kimimaro had recovered, however... he was strong again. Yet Orochimaru had already set his sights elsewhere.

Specifically that man's brother, and those eyes.

"The important thing now is your condition," Orochimaru said. "Tell how you feel. Can you identify any changes?"

Kabuto stepped forward and drew a blood sample while Kimimaro began describing his experience.

"That pain... was indescribable. But now... I feel reborn."

"My [Kekkei Genkai] is free of strain. My bones are stronger. My whole body feels lighter."

As the logs filled with new data, Orochimaru turned to him with interest.

"Co with . We need to run more tests."

"Yes, Lord Orochimaru."

The trio returned to the lab. Kimimaro lay back down, and wires and instrunts were reattached as Orochimaru and Kabuto continued their study.

Ti passed. Eventually, they completed a full workup of his new body.

Orochimaru now held both the [Mono-Eye] and a vial of [Estrogen Hormone] in his hands, toying with them thoughtfully.

"Lord Orochimaru," Kabuto said respectfully, "Kimimaro's bloodline power has increased significantly."

Kimimaro stood by silently, waiting for new instructions.

Orochimaru, lost in thought, stared at the [Mono-Eye] for a long while before his gaze slid toward the [Estrogen Hormone].

"Kimimaro... If I turned you into a woman, would you resist?"

Kimimaro blinked, then bowed his head. "I will accept whatever you decide, Lord Orochimaru."

Gender had no aning to him.

Ever since he was a child, he'd been treated as a weapon. No emotions. No choices. The only purpose is to kill.

After his clan's fall, Orochimaru had given him a second life. In return, Kimimaro devoted himself entirely to becoming stronger.

Nothing else mattered.

Orochimaru gave a cold, approving smile.

"Kabuto. Prepare the injection."

"Yes, Lord Orochimaru."

Kabuto took the vial of [Estrogen Hormone], then gave Kimimaro a strange look.

Kimimaro tilted his head slightly. Why was he looking at him like that?

But he didn't question it.

He obeyed.

Without hesitation, Kabuto administered the [Estrogen Hormone].

No further preparation. No anesthesia.

The [Change] began instantly.
