Inside the alley, Uchiha Hikari clung to the wall, cautiously peeking her head out to stare intently at the neon-lit establishnt.

As if worried the disciple inside might notice, she occasionally pulled her head back, only to peek out again after a few seconds.

The madam who had welcod Kaito earlier had once chased her away, but Hikari had always used Genjutsu to dismiss her.

"What is he even doing there?"

As a relic from the Warring States era and a weapon forged by her clan, Uchiha Hikari found it incredibly difficult to understand what a "brothel" was.

But this was the first ti she'd seen the kid not causing a scene at the entrance of a shop, which piqued her curiosity about what this place actually did.

Too embarrassed to go in and ask, she hesitated outside.

After waiting for what felt like an eternity, Hikari finally seized an opportunity—she caught a guest who had just exited and imdiately hit him with a Genjutsu, then began her interrogation.

"What exactly is a 'brothel' for?"

The seventy-year-old man under her control blinked dazedly, his mouth hanging open as a lecherous expression crept onto his face.

"What else would it be for...? Of course, it's for..."

The old man, with his considerable literary flair, spent half an hour describing it in vivid, colorful detail—so much so that the Uchiha ancestor's head began steaming, her face cycling through shades of green and black.Extrely furious and speechless, she imdiately cast a vicious Genjutsu with her Sharingan on the guest who had just finished his business, ensuring he would never think of coming back to this place again.

"Ugh!"

"This world should just hurry up and perish!"

Uchiha Hikari stord out of the alley, her anger boiling at the thought of a six-year-old brat visiting such a place. She wanted nothing more than to end him right then and there.

But after taking several steps, her rage still hadn't subsided. After a brief internal struggle, she turned back and walked to the shop entrance, calling for the madam...

anwhile, a certain soone inside, who had just woken up from his nap re minutes ago and was even preparing to draw his weapon to carry out a righteous crackdown on illegal activities, was abruptly interrupted.

The madam suddenly pushed open the door and shouted in his direction.

"Sir, trouble!"

"There's a woman outside claiming to be your Sect's founding ancestor. She says she'll see you in ten minutes..."

The madam paused for a few seconds, then looked at him with a mix of fear and bewildernt. "If she doesn't see her last disciple, she's going to tear our shop apart."

Recalling the bodies of several thugs lying in pools of blood outside, she didn't even bother asking why the woman was in such a hurry to summon him back to close the door.

Creak—

Kaito, who was having his feet massaged, suddenly curled his toes, his features twisting into an indescribably strange expression.

After a long while, he finally dismissed the two masseuses and said slowly,

"Alright, go get the money. I'm leaving now."

The madam hadn't fully processed his words yet and kept bowing to him in thanks.

"Thank you…"

By the ti she snapped out of it, Kaito had already pulled out a small burlap sack and was helping himself to the cash from the front desk drawer.

At that mont, the madam collapsed weakly to her knees, muttering things like "I can't go on like this" and "Just kill already."

"Is this all there is?"

Kaito muttered under his breath, grabbed the half-filled sack, and strode out the door in high spirits.

But the mont he stepped outside, he saw his great-grandmother standing there with a stern expression. Beside her was a sobbing masseuse holding a little girl's hand.

"Sir…"

"We only turned to this line of work because we had no other way to survive…"

Though Uchiha Hikari's face remained expressionless, she had already taken out a money pouch and tossed it to the woman with a flick of her wrist.

Glancing at the crying girl, mories of her own parents flashed through her mind, softening the murderous intent in her expression slightly.

"Take the money and get lost."

"Thank you… thank you… thank you, sir."

The masseuse hurriedly fled with the child after expressing her gratitude. Kaito, however, stared at their retreating figures and suddenly remarked,

"Ancestor, don't you think they look nothing alike?"

Kaito had instantly recognized that his naive great-grandmother had just been scamd. He hadn't intervened earlier because he wanted her to learn a lesson—so she wouldn't believe everything people said in the future.

It seed the old-tirs from the Warring States period had a natural tendency to get swindled.

"Hmph."

"Training?"

Hikari turned her head and gave her disciple a once-over, rolling her eyes. The corners of her lips curled up, her entire face radiating disdain.

Without another word, she leaped onto the rooftop in a few swift movents and vanished from the boy's sight.

Watching his ancestor storm off in a huff, Kaito sighed and turned to continue his search for the next establishnt.

But after circling the entire city, he couldn't find a single red-light district business still open.

When he asked passersby…

Every single one said that "Kakuzu" had been too ruthless lately. Even the daimyo had stopped operating gambling dens and brothels, and it would probably take so ti before they reopened.

"What a pain."

Realizing his training had been interrupted, Kaito rubbed his temples, silently cursing Kakuzu a few tis before reluctantly heading ho.

When he returned, Hikari wasn't in her room. He found her on the rooftop balcony.

There, Hikari sat with her knees hugged to her chest, gazing at the bustling streets below.

Beside her, for so reason, lay the sa money pouch she had given away earlier.

"This world is better than my ti."

As if sensing Kaito's presence, Hikari suddenly spoke in a lancholic tone.

Compared to the inter-clan conflicts of the Warring States era, this era was indeed much better. Yet, the unpleasant experience today had left her struggling to reconcile with it.

"But…"

"Why are there still so many pitiful people?"

Hikari tightened her arms around her knees, her eyes filled with an unshakable sorrow. To her, those "pitiful people" were no different from her past self. The sudden soul-searching question plunged Kaito into three full minutes of contemplation. He slowly walked over to his great-grandmother, following Hikari's gaze for a while before finally speaking.

"Superficial peace at best. In essence, no different from the Warring States period."

"Shinobi who possess power, daimyo and nobles with status—they've always stood atop the world, exploiting the common people beneath them."

"Common people..."

Kaito muttered these words, then after a long pause, spoke with biting sarcasm.

"To so, common folk don't even count as human beings."

Hearing this, Uchiha Hikari turned her head to look at this six-year-old brat, her eyes filled with surprise and confusion.

What Kaito said struck her as sowhat incomprehensible.

Yet she felt she'd grasped sothing, though when she saw the expression on the boy's face, she couldn't help but grumble with dissatisfaction.

"Those words don't sound like they ca from a six-year-old idiot."

"What you just said didn't sound like it ca from a hundred-year-old..."

Before Kaito could finish his sentence, as if detecting so special keyword, Hikari pressed one hand against the railing, twisted her body in a rapid spin, and with trendous montum, delivered a powerful kick that sent the boy flying from the rooftop straight into the street.

Her roar followed close behind.

"GO TO HELLl!!"
