"Ahem, and now… for the next match," Gekko Hayate announced, his voice still raspy. The electronic screen above them began to scroll once more.

"Uchiha Izumi versus Sai."

"Will the competitors whose nas are displayed please make their way to the arena."

A buzz went through the crowd. "Wow, another Uchiha is up. This ti it's that kunoichi. I wonder if she's as strong as Sasuke."

"She has to be weaker. Sasuke was fighting at a Jonin level. If everyone in their clan is that powerful, then what's the point of the rest of us competing?"

"That's right. I refuse to believe their whole team is made of monsters."

"Who cares? Sai is a genius! He can't possibly lose!"

"Go, Sai! Bring so honor to Konoha! Show those arrogant Uchiha what you can do!"

Uchiha Izumi stepped into the center of the arena, her long black hair fluttering in the slight breeze, the scarlet tomoe of her Sharingan already spinning slowly. Across from her, Sai offered a faint, placid smile, a paintbrush held loosely in his hand, his expression calm and unreadable.

"Uchiha Izumi," she said, her tone level and calm as she gave a slight nod. "I expect a good fight."

"Sai," he responded with his signature smile, unfolding a blank scroll before him with a flick of his wrist. "You will have it."

Gekko Hayate, standing at the side, coughed. "Then… begin!"

Sai attacked first, his brush dancing across the scroll as he quickly sketched an ink-black tiger. "Super Beast Scroll: Tiger!"

The beast leaped from the paper, roaring as it charged toward Izumi. Her Sharingan tracked its every move as she ford a series of hand seals. "Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu!"

A massive sphere of fla erupted from her mouth, colliding with the ink tiger. The fire instantly engulfed the creature, the ink evaporating into nothingness under the intense heat.

"Your Fire Style is strong," Sai comnted, his smile never wavering as his brush continued to move. "But that is not enough."

His brush flew again, this ti sketching several ink-black birds. "Super Beast Scroll: Birds!"

The ink birds took flight, swooping toward Izumi from all directions at incredible speed. Izumi's Sharingan swirled. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

Several clones of Izumi appeared, intercepting the birds and dispelling them one by one. But as they did, the real Izumi suddenly felt a chill run down her spine.

"Genjutsu: Ink Mist!" Sai's voice whispered from directly behind her.

Izumi's vision suddenly blurred, the world around her dissolving into a swirl of black ink. "Is this… an illusion?" She realized she was caught in a genjutsu, and with a flash of red from her eyes, the ink world shattered.

Izumi sneered. "Hmph. To use a genjutsu against a Sharingan user… you truly underestimate ."

"I can only say… as expected of the Uchiha clan. Illusions have no effect on you," Sai said, still smiling, but the speed of his brush strokes increased.

Izumi didn't respond, her Sharingan fixed on Sai's movents. "Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu!" Several small fireballs shot from her mouth, fanning out like flower petals as they flew toward Sai from different angles.

Sai quickly painted several ink shields on his scroll. "Super Beast Scroll: Shield!" The ink shields materialized in front of him, blocking the fireballs, but Izumi's assault didn't stop. With a kunai in hand, she closed the distance between them. Her movents were swift and precise, a textbook example of the Uchiha's fad taijutsu. The kunai aid directly for Sai's throat.

Sai hurriedly leaped back, his brush a blur. "Super Beast Scroll: Snake!"

A giant ink serpent sprang from the scroll, its jaws wide as it lunged at Izumi. Her Sharingan easily tracked its movents. She twisted sideways, dodging the attack while simultaneously slashing with her kunai, striking the snake's vital point. The ink creature dissolved, but Sai had already used the opportunity to create so distance.

"Your technique is quite versatile," Izumi noted. "A single brush serves as your entire arsenal."

Sai smiled, his tone dripping with a subtle, passive aggression. "You jest. Nothing is more convenient than those eyes of yours."

"Oh?" Izumi raised an eyebrow. "And what is that supposed to an? That I rely solely on my Sharingan?"

Sai chuckled. "Haha, is that not the Uchiha way?"

"Such ignorance" Uchiha Izumi slowly closed her eyes. When she opened them again, the scarlet had vanished, her eyes returning to their normal black. "Very well. For that, I will make you submit."

"From this mont, I will no longer use my Sharingan. I will defeat you and leave you half-paralyzed within three moves, as punishnt for your impertinence."

"If I fail, I will forfeit this match."
