Chapter 147: The Fall of Danzo

Ryosuke raced through the dense forest, the sharp whistle of the wind trailing behind him.

Chakra consumption’s faster than I expected...

This body—Chiba’s—was vastly different from Naruto’s. It didn’t have the Nine-Tails fueling it with endless chakra. After relying on a Jinchūriki’s monstrous reserves, returning to a normal body felt... limiting.

Still, Ryosuke adjusted quickly.

He modulated his chakra output, syncing his movents to a level that matched human capacity. Compared to Naruto, this vessel was weaker in raw stats—but Ryosuke had trained this body rigorously before. His control and adaptability made up the difference.

In the end, raw power ans nothing if the one using it lacks mastery.

"There are enemies ahead."

He sensed them before they saw him.

Without using stealth, Ryosuke knew his presence would be detected the mont he entered within a kiloter of their position—but that didn’t matter.

He continued forward.

Ahead, Shimura Danzo stood surrounded by Root operatives. The remaining units from the Nine-Tails control operation quickly ford a defensive line between Ryosuke and their leader.

Several others launched themselves toward him.

Clang—!

Kunai t kunai.

Steel flashed, sparks flying in the darkened forest.

Bang!

A solid strike followed.

Though they used weapons of identical make, Ryosuke’s kunai cut through theirs like paper. In a blur of motion, he weaved between his attackers—blades arcing through the air with deadly precision.

One. Two. Three.

Heads rolled. Bodies dropped.

Not once did Ryosuke break stride.

To him, it was like slicing through civilians.

Shimura Danzo’s expression shifted slightly.

Such speed. Such precision. The wind chakra manipulation alone spoke volus.

"This level of wind release... and combat analysis..." Danzo muttered.

This wasn’t so wild assassin. The intruder was calculated—refined. A Jonin-level expert, at the very least.

Who is he?

One of Sarutobi’s n? Revenge for tonight?

"Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique!"

Ryosuke ford the seals mid-run. Light-blue chakra surged around him.

Across the battlefield, Root ninja quickly responded—raising hand seals of their own.

A massive wall of water rose in front of Danzo, ant to shield him from the oncoming blast.

But—

FWOOSH!

The fireball that erupted from Ryosuke’s mouth wasn’t ordinary. It expanded rapidly, blazing bright red, and consud the mist-soaked air.

The two forces collided.

Hiss—!

The chakra-infused water wall hissed and stead under the blazing assault. In re monts, it evaporated into thick fog, spreading through the forest like a rising curtain.

But the fireball kept going.

BOOM—!

It crashed down on the Root shinobi like a falling teor, exploding in a blaze of searing heat. Flas surged outward, swallowing the clearing in a tidal wave of fire.

Smoke. Screams. Ash.

Danzo barely retreated in ti, protected by the sacrifices of the faster Root ninja who leapt into harm’s way.

Still—his hands were shaking.

The sweat soaking their uniforms wasn’t from heat. It was fear.

"Stay alert!"

Danzo barked the order, but before the smoke could clear—

The killing resud.

One by one, black shadows slipped through the burning mist. Silent. Swift. Ruthless.

One. Two. Three...

Root shinobi dropped without a sound.

This wasn’t chaos. It was calculated execution.

Once, it had taken Ryosuke ticulous planning and help from elite Chunin just to bring down a single Jonin.

Now—he dispatched them with ease.

Every movent was deliberate. Every strike—flawless.

The opponents that once seed towering and lethal... now moved like children, their attacks predictable, their strikes slow.

Ryosuke had surpassed them.

His wind-enhanced kunai sliced through armor like silk, guided by chakra control honed to perfection. Even when struck, he manipulated his chakra instantly—redirecting it to his wounds, allowing Yin Healing Release, an A-rank dical technique, to regenerate damaged tissue almost imdiately.

He moved like a phantom in the mist, fire swirling around him as if he commanded it.

Every swing. Every dodge. Every counter—

Human.

He felt human again.

Unlike the overwhelming strength he wielded in Naruto’s body, this battle required precision—intellect. He liked it.

He thrived in it.

"Who are you!?"

From beyond the battlefield, Danzo’s voice rang out.

"There’s no Jonin in Konoha with skills like yours."

He wasn’t just curious—he was unsettled.

Sothing about Ryosuke’s style reminded him of Sarutobi Hiruzen. And the mastery over elental chakra... it echoed the Sandai himself.

Had one of his enemies given birth to such a weapon?

But Ryosuke gave no answer.

Silently, he continued slicing through the remaining Root ninja, his eyes scanning for the right mont—his true target.

Danzo.

"...Won’t talk?"

Danzo’s face darkened.

"Then beco my puppet."

He reached up—and ripped off the white bandage covering his face.

A scarlet Sharingan glowed from the gap between Danzo’s unraveling bandages, locking eyes with Ryosuke through the smoke and chaos.

"From now on, I am your new master," Danzo declared, his voice filled with authority. "Cease your movents."

The blood-red Sharingan began to spin rapidly, its black tomoe swirling in a hypnotic pattern.

Ryosuke, in Chiba’s body, was just about to dodge a Root ninja’s attack—then froze.

The kunai ant for Ryosuke’s heart veered slightly at the last second, cutting deep into his chin instead of his throat.

Swish—

Blood burst forth like a crimson fountain.

Yet Ryosuke didn’t move.

He stood eerily still, like a lifeless puppet.

Danzo narrowed his eyes, studying him.

"Apply dical ninjutsu. Heal yourself."

The Root shinobi surrounded Ryosuke, watching as Danzo gave the order.

But Ryosuke didn’t respond.

No hand seals. No movent. Nothing.

"...So you can still resist my Kotoamatsukami," Danzo muttered, suspicion growing in his tone. "Or... my modifications weren’t thorough enough."

He stared deeper into the body’s chakra network, Sharingan spinning again.

"No matter who you are... from now on, forget your—"

Clang—!

A sudden flash of silver streaked past Danzo.

Shing!

A blade sliced clean through his shoulder—severing the arm that bore Hashirama’s cells.

"Wh—!?"

Danzo’s voice cracked, filled with fury and disbelief.

He spun, eyes wide.

The attacker was soone impossible.

"Ryoma?!"

The trusted Root ninja—Abura Ryoma—was already retreating into the trees, blood dripping from the blade in his hand.

Danzo snarled and activated the curse seal embedded in Ryoma, trying to paralyze him on the spot.

But Ryoma had already flung the severed arm deep into the forest.

"There are others?!"

Danzo’s instincts scread at him.

He reached for a seal—but before his hands could move, the body he thought he’d controlled began to tremble.

BOOM—!

A massive wave of chakra exploded outward.

A suffocating pressure filled the forest.

In an instant, every Root shinobi within range was reduced to pulp—crushed beneath an invisible force. Blood and mud beca one.

And then—Ryosuke was in front of him.

Too fast to react.

A pale hand reached forward.

Fingers pressed directly against Danzo’s Sharingan eye.

Danzo’s own gaze t Ryosuke’s glowing eyes, their eerie light reflected in his crimson iris.

In that mont—he understood.

"...The Nine-Tails..."

A bitter, broken laugh escaped Danzo’s lips.

He had misread everything.

He thought Ryosuke was a Jinchūriki—Naruto himself. But he was wrong.

Then, his chest erupted with dark chakra.

Black blood—thick and oily—splashed from his mouth and wounds, spreading like ink across the battlefield. His body began to swell unnaturally.

Ryosuke’s eyes narrowed.

This wasn’t ordinary chakra.

It was the Four Symbols Sealing Technique—a deadly failsafe Danzo had placed on himself to ensure no one could claim the secrets of his Sharingan after death.

The black blood crept toward Ryosuke’s vessel—Chiba—and as it made contact, control shattered.

Ryosuke was forcibly ejected from the body.

Silence.

Ti seed to freeze.

And then—

Whoosh.

A massive vacuum swallowed the battlefield whole.

Where Danzo once stood, now there was nothing.

Not a corpse.

Not blood.

Not even land.

Just an eerie crater of pure nothingness.

It didn’t explode. It erased.

Annihilation.

Not even sound was left behind.

From the shadows of the forest, a lone figure erged—Ryosuke. He stared at the scene with calm eyes, arm in hand.

Danzo’s severed limb—still brimming with Sharingan and infused with Hashirama’s cells—was the only trace left.

This was why Ryosuke didn’t kill Danzo while in Naruto’s body.

Danzo saw threats to Konoha in everyone.

To protect his Mangekyō Sharingan and its forbidden genjutsu—Kotoamatsukami—he’d embedded the Four Symbols Seal into himself.

It was a final defense.

Ryosuke knew that.

So he planned accordingly.

His goal tonight had been simple: eliminate Shimura Danzo.

With Hiruzen dead, the shadow that was Danzo no longer needed to exist.

But Ryosuke had adapted the plan when he noticed sothing strange—

Danzo hadn’t used Izanagi.

The powerful Uchiha forbidden technique had to be prepared in advance to function as an automatic death-reversal seal. Yet Danzo hadn’t triggered it.

And so—Ryosuke took a risk.

He claid what he ca for.

The arm.

It contained valuable resources: multiple three-tomoe Sharingan, Hashirama’s regenerative cells, and research potential beyond comprehension.

Why not turn Danzo into a puppet?

He’d considered it—but lacked the ans.

His control technique, rooted in Byakugan and Yin Release, had limitations.

While it worked against elite Jonin and could override warriors like Abura Ryoma, it couldn’t pierce the complex spiritual defenses of soone like Danzo—especially one empowered by multiple Sharingan and forbidden techniques.

Those trained in ntal arts—like the Yamanaka or Kurama clans—were naturally more resistant.

And Danzo, with his Sharingan-enhanced perception and layered ntal barriers, was beyond Ryosuke’s grasp for direct control.

Still, the battlefield had been "cleansed" by Danzo’s own trap.

There was no need for Ryosuke to hide any longer.

He sealed the arm into a scroll, turned away, and vanished into the forest.

No trace left behind.

Only silence.

And in that silence, Ryosuke realized sothing.

He had grown powerful.

Without even knowing it.

This wasn’t like his previous battles—where he relied on overwhelming force or picked off weak opponents.

Tonight, he had fought two defining battles.

Yes, the first one had been aided by the Nine-Tails’ power.

But the second—

The second had been his alone.

Even while using a restricted vessel, he crushed Danzo—one of Konoha’s most dangerous n.

"I didn’t realize I’d beco this strong."

"Maybe... it’s ti I stopped hiding."

Ryosuke leapt through the trees, heading back toward the village.

Konoha, now without Sarutobi Hiruzen.

Without Shimura Danzo.

Would never be the sa.

And Ryosuke... was ready to face it.
