At that mont, fire materialized out of thin air in front of Inoiki, roaring to life in an instant. It surged forward like a wave, its flas crackling as they rushed toward Orochimaru with a ferocity that seed to devour everything in their path.

Orochimaru's eyes narrowed in surprise, but his hands moved in a blur, weaving seals with practiced speed. "Earth Release: Mud Wall!" he intoned.

The ground in front of him rumbled, and a solid earthen wall rose from the ground just in ti to et the advancing flas. The fire crashed against the wall, hissing and steaming as smoke billowed into the air.

But Inoiki wasn't done. Floating toward Orochimaru, he raised his hand, and the air around him chilled instantly. From the freezing air, multiple arrows of ice ford, their sharp tips gleaming like crystalline daggers. The arrows shot forward, curving mid-flight to bypass the protective mud wall.

Orochimaru sensed the incoming threat, his instincts screaming at him to move. He twisted his body with serpentine agility, dodging most of the arrows, but even his reflexes couldn't save him entirely. One ice arrow stabbed into his right leg, pinning him briefly, while another struck deep into the left side of his abdon.

The pain was sharp and cold, but Orochimaru simply smirked, ignoring the blood trickling from his wounds. "Ice Release," he murmured, his tone tinged with intrigue. His golden eyes narrowed as he studied Inoiki. "No hand seal ninjutsu? How... fascinating."

Inoiki remained silent, his gaze locked onto Orochimaru, unflinching.

Suddenly, water began to condense out of the air around Orochimaru, droplets forming and rging until a swirling vortex of water surrounded him. The water spun faster and faster, forming a churning, spiraling prison with Orochimaru trapped at its center.

The rogue ninja's smile faltered slightly. He could feel the pressure building, the water's movents growing increasingly violent. For the first ti in the fight, he felt a flicker of genuine concern. This could be dangerous—even for .

Without hesitation, Orochimaru ford a single hand seal and sank into the ground, using the Hiding in Surface Technique to phase away from the watery trap. The vortex collapsed, spraying harmlessly into the dirt as Orochimaru disappeared.

Inoiki hovered in the air, his senses sharp. He knew Orochimaru was still nearby, lurking in the shadows, waiting for the perfect mont to strike. But ti wasn't on his side—his chakra reserves were running dangerously low.

Just then, salvation arrived. Naruto burst into the clearing, his orange jacket torn and dirt-streaked but his determination undiminished. He had escaped from the belly of Orochimaru's summoned snake, his eyes blazing with resolve.

Inoiki didn't waste a second. With his Psychokinesis, he extended his control over Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura, lifting them gently into the air. "Do not resist," he said firmly, his voice carrying a tone of finality.

The three Genin floated upward under his ntal control, their bodies weightless as Inoiki guided them away from the battlefield. The last thing he saw before retreating was Orochimaru's golden eyes watching him from the shadows, glinting with sinister amusent.

Though his chakra was nearly depleted, Inoiki knew he had accomplished the most important task—keeping Team 7 out of Orochimaru's grasp.

----

Orochimaru erged from the surface of a tree branch, his body slithering upright as if gravity held no sway over him. He stood tall, his serpentine eyes fixed on the retreating figure of Inoiki, who was disappearing into the distance with Team 7 in tow.

His gaze shifted downward, taking in the battlefield. Ice arrows lay scattered across the ground, their sharp edges glinting in the fading light. The earth bore scorch marks from the fire, and a puddle of water shimred amidst the debris. Orochimaru's lips curved into a faint smile as he murmured to himself, "No hand seal ninjutsu... Oh, Inoiki, you've truly given

a delightful surprise. I ca here only for Sasuke, but you've turned out to be an unexpected treat."

For a mont, his amusent faded, replaced by a rare seriousness. "But your strength..." His golden eyes narrowed. "It's enough to keep you out of my grasp for now. I can't afford to underestimate you. Touching you recklessly could drag

into the gutter—especially when I know so little about your abilities."

Just as Orochimaru's words faded into the silence of the forest, a sharp presence interrupted his musings.

Anko Mitarashi arrived, her movents deliberate and her expression fierce. She stepped onto a branch at his level, facing him head-on, her eyes locking with his. Her voice was firm, carrying a mix of anger and defiance. "What are you doing here, Orochimaru?"

Orochimaru's smile widened, his tone laced with mockery. "Ah, Anko. I was expecting a warr reception from my forr student. Perhaps even a smile." His lips curled further into a grin, baring his teeth. "But hostility? How disappointing."

Anko's fingers twitched, her anger bubbling to the surface. Without another word, she launched herself at him, the air around them exploding into a flurry of deadly intent.

The clash was swift and brutal. Anko fought with everything she had, her movents sharp and relentless. But despite her determination, she was no match for Orochimaru's overwhelming power.

As they fought, the curse mark on Anko's neck flared with searing pain, a cruel reminder of Orochimaru's control over her. She gritted her teeth, refusing to back down, but her body betrayed her. Orochimaru easily deflected her attacks, his movents fluid and almost lazy, as though playing with her.

In a matter of monts, the fight was over. Anko collapsed onto a branch, panting heavily, her body trembling from the strain. Orochimaru stood over her, unscathed and eerily calm.

He leaned slightly closer, his voice soft yet nacing. "Such spirit, Anko. But you've always known you can't win against ."

With a final glance at the battlefield, Orochimaru straightened, his expression shifting back to amusent. "Until we et again." With that, he vanished into the trees, his presence dissipating as though he had never been there.

Anko clenched her fists, frustration and pain mingling in her gaze as she stared at the empty space he had occupied. She whispered to herself, "Damn it..." before collapsing to her knees, the weight of the encounter pressing down on her.
