Chapter 229: Ch-229 Inoiki vs A.

Raikage reached up, grabbed the white robe draped over his shoulders, and flung it aside in a single fluid motion. The cloth hadn’t even touched the ground before his chakra surged.

Crack—CRRRRZZZTT!

Lightning exploded across his entire body, wrapping him in the unmistakable glow of his Lightning Release Chakra Mode. Sparks danced along his skin like living threads of light, and the air vibrated under the raw electricity radiating from him.

Then—without the slightest hesitation—he moved.

He vanished.

To the spectators watching from the cliffs above, he simply disappeared from sight, moving faster than their eyes could track. The ground trembled beneath the shockwave of his acceleration. Even Naruto couldn’t see him properly—just a streak of blue-white light cutting across the battlefield.

But Inoiki saw him.

Not with his eyes—Raikage’s speed was too fast, too blinding, nearly brushing the threshold of light itself. No, Inoiki sensed him through his Observation Haki. The mont Raikage moved, Inoiki felt every shift in air, every micro change in intent, every minute killing impulse.

Without hesitation, Inoiki raised his hand.

The earth responded instantly.

BOOM!

A massive, thick earth wall surged up in front of him, rising like a stone fortress ant to withstand a charging beast.

But to the Raikage—

It was paper.

CRACK!!!

His lightning-coated fist tore through the wall with a single blow, shattering the entire structure into a spray of stone fragnts. Pebbles ricocheted across the ground as the dust cloud burst outward.

Raikage stepped through the debris—only to realize Inoiki wasn’t there.

He looked up.

Inoiki floated high in the air, suspended by psychokinesis. Around him, five massive swords hovered in a precise formation, their blades gleaming, each one wrapped in cutting wind.

The swords moved.

FWOOOOOOSH!

All five shot downward toward the Raikage like giant spears.

Raikage’s instincts scread, and he reacted instantly. The first sword sliced past him—dodged. The second cut through the air where he had been a split-second earlier.

But the third—

It was dead centre, aid straight at his chest.

Raikage couldn’t dodge it.

He crossed his arms in front of him, and the gold vambraces on his wrists caught the incoming blade.

BOOM!

The collision sent a shockwave across the valley floor. The Raikage slid backward, his heels carving shallow grooves in the ground as he was pushed back—only a few inches—but enough to show that the attack carried real power. The wind-wrapped blade vibrated violently against his guard before bouncing away under Raikage’s push.

But the remaining two swords were already upon the Raikage.

One blade struck his shoulder with a sharp thud, wind chakra shrieking as it tried to tear through him. Yet, despite its force, the sword barely sank in—only carving a shallow cut across his skin.

The second sword ca from below, aid cleanly at his abdon. But Raikage, using the montum from pushing away the earlier blade, twisted his body at the last mont. The sword grazed him, leaving only a thin red line across his stomach.

From above, Inoiki clicked his tongue.

Such defense... only the Raikage could tank sword strikes like that.

Raikage roared, his strength flaring. With a powerful swing of both fists, he smashed the two hovering swords away from him, sending them crashing back through the air like discarded spears.

And then he looked up.

In an instant, he bent his knees, lightning exploding beneath his feet.

BOOOOM!!!

The ground under him shattered into a crater as he launched himself skyward, tearing toward Inoiki with a fist wreathed in lightning. The sheer pressure of his movent split the air, the shockwave rippling across the valley.

His fist neared Inoiki—

And then Inoiki vanished.

Teleportation.

In a blink, he reappeared behind Raikage. His voice was calm, sharp, and commanding.

"Gravity Pressure."

The effect was imdiate.

A crushing weight slamd down onto the Raikage. His body plunged toward the earth like a teor, but even then—he did not fall to his knees. He smashed into the ground upright, his feet carving deep into the soil, the trendous force cracking the land in a wide radius around him.

A large crater ford, expanding outward as dust blasted into the air.

The Raikage growled, his muscles bulging, lightning raging, refusing to be pressed down. He wasn’t the type to give up—not even when the world itself felt like it was collapsing on top of him.

He tried leaping again.

His legs tensed, sparks erupting—but he barely rose a few ters before the crushing gravity yanked him back to the ground.

His speed had dropped drastically. Even with his monstrous physical strength and his Lightning Release Chakra Mode amplifying him to near-light speed, the overwhelming gravitational force slowed him to a re fraction of his usual velocity.

Spectators watching from the cliffs looked on with wide-eyed disbelief.

The Raikage—legend of unparalleled speed—was being pinned to the ground.

By one man.

...

While Raikage struggled beneath the crushing gravity, Inoiki wasn’t idle.

He raised one hand slowly.

The ground trembled.

All around the valley, massive stones—boulders, slabs of earth, even chunks of the small hills—began to rumble, splitting away from the land. The rocks rose steadily into the air, dozens upon dozens of them, each wrapped in a faint sky-blue glow from Inoiki’s psychokinesis.

The sight was staggering.

Kumogakure’s shinobi stood wide-eyed atop the cliffs, watching the impossible unfold before them. Even for a village fad for their strength and power, this was sothing new.

Mabui’s voice trembled slightly. "If a move like this fell on an army... the entire force would be wiped out in seconds. This level of power..." She glanced at the Raikage, her expression tightening. For the first ti, she wondered whether this fight was a good idea at all.

One by one, the massive stones began to fall.

BOOOM! BOOOOM! BOOOOM!

Each impact shook the entire valley, shockwaves rippling through the mountains. Dust clouds billowed upward. The open battlefield where Raikage had stood seconds ago disappeared beneath a mountain of stone. Layer after layer of rock piled onto him until the entire area was buried under an enormous mound.

Silence fell.
