Chapter 168 - Ch-168 Sasuke getting beaten.
In a blur of motion, Sasuke and Inoiki clashed—blades eting with a sharp, tallic crack.
Sasuke had expected his strike to do serious damage, maybe even sever Inoiki's weapon entirely. But the impact barely left a scratch. It beca clear why. Though Sasuke wielded the legendary Kusanagi blade, Inoiki's weapon was no ordinary sword—it was a chakra blade, reinforced and enhanced by a layer of concentrated psychic energy.
They moved rapidly across the room, exchanging blows at high speed. Each clash sent sparks flying, the rhythmic ding-ding-ding of steel-on-steel echoing off the walls.
Inoiki's strikes were precise, calculated—and stronger. Every swing forced Sasuke onto the defensive. He was fast, but Inoiki's pressure was relentless, and it was taking a toll.
Spotting a brief opening, Sasuke allowed one of Inoiki's powerful swings to push him back. He didn't resist—instead, he used the montum to his advantage, launching himself backward to create space between them.
Without wasting a second, Sasuke drove his sword into the ground and began forming hand seals in rapid succession. "Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!" he shouted, expelling a massive sphere of fla from his mouth. The fireball roared through the air, nearly as tall as the room itself, racing toward Inoiki with searing heat.
But Inoiki wasn't about to be overwheld. With a powerful swing of his blade, he unleashed a sweeping arc of energy—a glowing blue wave that surged forward from the point of impact. "Shockwave Slash!"
The mont Inoiki's shockwave t the fireball, the room lit up with violent energy. The flas held for a mont before flickering and collapsing under the pressure. The fireball dissipated, scattered by the sheer force of the psychic-infused strike. But the shockwave kept moving—undeterred and still deadly.
Sasuke's Sharingan tracked the incoming wave instantly. Reacting with precision, he activated Chidori Stream, enveloping his body in crackling lightning to boost his defences. He gripped his sword tightly, electricity dancing along the blade, and swung it forward to et the oncoming energy.
The two forces collided—and Sasuke was overwheld.
The impact launched him upward, his body crashing through the ceiling with a thunderous explosion. Chunks of concrete and debris rained down as the underground chamber was torn open, exposing it to daylight for the first ti.
Chunks of the shattered roof began to rain down, but none touched Inoiki. Each piece of falling debris veered off course the mont it neared him, deflected effortlessly by his Psychokinesis. He stood calmly in the centre of the chaos, completely unfazed.
anwhile, Sasuke's body crashed onto the ground above the now-exposed underground base, skidding across the dirt for several ters before coming to a halt. He groaned, a thin trickle of blood running from the corner of his mouth—evidence of the force behind Inoiki's attack. Still, it could have been worse. The only reason he wasn't seriously injured was the protective layer of Chidori Stream he'd activated just in ti.
Seconds later, Inoiki rose into the air and floated upward, erging from the ruined chamber and descending a short distance away from Sasuke.
But Sasuke wasn't done.
Breathing heavily, he tightened his grip on his sword, lightning once again crackling along the blade. Without hesitation, he lunged forward, moving at blinding speed, sword aid straight at Inoiki.
In response, Inoiki extended a hand. A transparent barrier shimred into existence in front of him—another application of his Psychokinesis. Sasuke's lightning-charged sword struck it with full force. Cracks spiderwebbed across the surface instantly, a sharp sound echoing from the impact.
But Inoiki didn't flinch. The damage was anticipated. It was all part of his plan.
Cracks spread rapidly across the barrier—fracturing with each passing second. It wouldn't hold much longer.
Reacting swiftly, Inoiki unleashed his Psychokinesis again, freezing Sasuke mid-movent with an invisible grip. Then, channelling his psychic energy into his fist, he lunged forward and threw a punch aid directly at Sasuke's face.
Sasuke's Sharingan tracked the incoming attack. He saw the fist coming—but when he tried to dodge, his body wouldn't move. It was as if he were bound by invisible chains. Instantly, he realized what it was: Inoiki's Psychokinesis again.
Desperate, Sasuke surged lightning through his body, activating Chidori at full power in an attempt to break free. Slowly, his limbs began to respond—he was forcing movent, inch by inch. But it wasn't fast enough.
Inoiki's fist connected hard with Sasuke's face. At that sa mont, Inoiki released his grip, sending Sasuke flying backward through the air.
But Inoiki didn't stop.
He levitated quickly, following the arc of Sasuke's flight. As soon as they were level in midair, Inoiki spun and drove both feet forward in a brutal dropkick to Sasuke's chest.
Sasuke saw it coming at the last second. He crossed his arms in front of him in an X-shaped block, bracing for impact. The force of the kick still drove him downward at high velocity, slamming him into the ground below. A massive cloud of dust erupted on impact, shrouding the area in smoke and debris.
