"Ahhhh! Die!"
Cal Yoko didn't try to flee—she knew she couldn't.
Even with one arm gone, she swung her remaining fist at Shinji with all her might.
Boom!
A massive crater exploded in the sand!
The sheer power of that punch was evident—had it landed on a person, it would have crushed them into a pulp.
But—
"Too slow. Raw strength alone gets you nowhere."
Cal Yoko felt an overwhelming, terrifying pressure bearing down on her. The human stood right in front of her, clearly visible if she looked down—but she felt as if trapped in quicksand, unable to move, frozen in place.
"Damn it! Move… just move!"
She scread in her mind, and sohow, she broke free of the invisible restraint and raised her fist once more.
"No one will ruin the mission Lord Saibote entrusted to !"
Pff!
A grotesquely oversized Executioner's Sword plunged vertically through her body.
"Any last words?"
"Lord Saibote… will avenge …"
Shlissh!
"No? Got it."
Shinji tugged with all his might, ripping her apart like a block of cake. Blood splattered across the ground.
Three Grade-1 Cursed Spirits eliminated, another 1,500 cursed soul points earned, leaving him exhilarated.
And with so many "gifts" delivered right to his doorstep, he couldn't have been happier.
Today was destined to be a bountiful day!

"Rika, Ichiro—coordinate with ."
"The enemy is strong. Stay alert!"
The two Jonin accompanying Maki were a man and a woman. The woman wielded two beautiful folding fans, and each swing combined with ninjutsu unleashed trendous power.
The man wore theatrical makeup, looking both strange and mysterious, controlling an ugly gorilla puppet.
"Wind Release · Turbulent Air Dance!"
"Black Secret Technique · Three Heads, Six Arms, Seventy-Two Blades Prison!"
Rika waved her fans rapidly, whipping up a whirlwind of sand to obscure the vision of 'Sand Spirit' Saibote and create an opening for her allies.
Ichiro commanded 'Captain Gorilla' to launch an imdiate assault.
At the instant it was blocked, 'Captain Gorilla' transford—two additional heads and four arms erged.
Now all six hands wielded poisoned blades, and all three mouths spewed fragnts of sharp knives.
In a frenzied spinning attack, it shredded Saibote's body to pieces!
"Wind Blade!"
Maki unleashed his most proud jutsu, smashing the remaining fragnts of Saibote's body.
But no one relaxed; their expressions only grew more serious.
"Sand clone? No—"
"Watch out! The target just seed to sandify. In that state, physical attacks and toxins are useless."
Ichiro warned the others while remaining alert to his surroundings.
Then grains of sand began swirling in the air, seemingly alive, recombining into humanoid form.
As the embodint of humanity's fear of the desert, Saibote could not be killed as long as his body remained connected to the sand, freely sandifying to negate almost all attacks.
This was why he had managed to kill two Jonin and erge unscathed.
Maki and the others had encountered this before. If they weren't sure the human host was still in the village, they might have suspected that this being was actually the One-Tail, Shukaku, in disguise.
The good news: using the opportunity, they managed to rescue the unconscious Reki.
"The desert tells … you are afraid."
Saibote held a bizarrely shaped snake sword, his tone calm as he stated a fact.
"Sand Curse Transformation · Sandstorm Dance!"
With a gentle swing, the next mont, sand filled the air.
Hundreds of crescent-shaped sand blades shot out, flying like moons in the sky.
The blades were razor-sharp, able to cut through rock without leaving a trace.
The Sunagakure forces dodged and blocked frantically, creating chaos everywhere.
"Ah!"
A scream rang out.
With so many blades and such rapid attacks, soone inevitably failed to evade and was shredded by the spinning blades.
"Regroup on my side!"
Ichiro shouted, releasing his second puppet—a steel-armored rhino.
The exact composition of the rhino's shell was unknown, but its defense was incredible. Sharp sand blades left not even a scratch.
Its massive body provided cover for the remaining team.
Maki scanned the battlefield—already, four Chunin had been lost in just a short ti.
If they couldn't find the enemy's weakness soon, they might all die here today.
There was no other choice: sandification in the desert was essentially an unbeatable ability!
They couldn't harm him effectively, but he could attack them freely. How could they fight that?
"Looks like we have to rely on sealing techniques."
Maki's mind raced. Thankfully, before departing, she had assembled nine mbers from the Sealing Squad.
Judging by the enemy's current display of power, he was strong but not as terrifying as Shukaku.
Had it been Shukaku attacking earlier, they would have been completely annihilated.
So there was still a chance.
If they could limit his sandification ability, they could defeat him—or even capture him alive!
He quickly finalized the strategy and issued orders.
As the swirling sand blades finally dissipated, Maki and Rika dashed forward from behind the steel-armored rhino, left and right.
"Wind Blade!"
"Tornado Hurricane!"
Maki's Wind Blade cut dozens of gashes into Saibote's body, preventing an imdiate counterattack.
Rika spun her fans, summoning a massive tornado, striking directly at the target!
An ordinary person would have been shredded under such attacks.
But Saibote, capable of instantly sandifying, ignored it completely.
Yet a flicker of surprise crossed his face.
The tornado created a vacuum effect, trapping him within a wall of wind!
Even if only for a few seconds, Maki and his team had successfully created an opportunity.
The nine Sealing Squad mbers quickly took their designated positions, bracing themselves against the wind, and began rapidly forming hand seals.
"Sealing Technique · Nine Pillars Seal!"
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Nine stone pillars erupted from the sand, each etched with strange beast-like patterns.
A pale blue chakra barrier instantly spread over them, forming a protective enclosure.
As the sandstorm cleared, Saibote returned to humanoid form.
He attempted to reach the barrier's edge, but his right hand imdiately lted from the intense heat.
