"Cough… gah—!"

Just as the sinister man was desperately searching for a slim chance of survival, his expression suddenly changed. He clutched his mouth in panic.

Unfortunately, the violent coughing brought up mouthful after mouthful of fresh blood.

"Poison? When did this happen?!"

His eyes widened in disbelief. Only when he noticed the blood staining his hands and body did realization finally dawn on him.

"It was that blood mist just now!"

He had assud it was rely a tool to track his whereabouts. He never imagined the blood mist itself was laced with lethal poison.

In that instant, nothing remained in his eyes but despair.

Sure enough, having caught the sound, Shinji locked onto his position once more and began walking toward him step by step.

For Shinji, regularly drawing blood for storage and infusing part of it with poison was already standard practice.

Although he couldn't completely negate the harm caused by these toxins, firstly, he could take antidotes in advance; secondly, he possessed an immortal body—so even if he were poisoned to death, he could simply revive.

It was troubleso, sure, but it always paid off.

After all, poison was sothing everyone feared.

Back in the day, legendary figures like Hanzō of the Salamander and Sunagakure's Chiyo had shaken the entire ninja world with their terrifying poison techniques.

If Tsunade hadn't later appeared—an oddball who devoted herself to dical ninjutsu and systematically cracked all their poisons—they might've continued wreaking havoc for several more years.

"You have nowhere left to run. Co out."

Before his words had fully fallen, Shinji sensed a sharp whistling sound tearing through the air ahead.

Transparency Release: Hidden Flight!

Several shuriken remained completely transparent even after leaving the sinister man's hand!

Clink! Clink! Clink! Clink!

A blood-red crystalline wall rose up, blocking every single attack.

"Interesting, but still far too obvious. The attack power hasn't increased at all."

Shinji didn't move an inch as he calmly comnted.

To be honest, the fact that the other party had developed Transparency Release to this extent was already impressive.

But upon closer thought, it was simply too impractical.

Take that move just now, for example—there was no increase in the shuriken's lethality. Even if they were transparent, the sound was still there.

Using this against an opponent of equal level would be a joke. Even against weaker enemies, it would only work as a sneak attack.

It was nowhere near as useful as the earlier "air dummy."

Whether it was a desperate last stand or rage provoked by Shinji's words, the sinister man suddenly took the initiative and rushed forward, a kunai stabbing straight for Shinji's eye.

Shinji casually raised the Executioner's Blade and blocked it.

Transparency Release: Hidden Assault!

The sinister man went all out, his figure flickering in and out of visibility.

Each ti he appeared, he struck straight for Shinji's vital points. If the attack failed, he imdiately vanished again, repositioning at a distance.

From afar, it looked as though he was teleporting around Shinji.

In reality, Shinji was so bored he was nearly yawning.

Every single attack was cleanly intercepted by the oversized Executioner's Blade, rendering all efforts futile.

The reason was simple—looking like teleportation and actually teleporting were two entirely different things!

Although each of the sinister man's attacks appeared unpredictable and hard to defend against, stripped down to its core, it was nothing more than:

Attack once → turn invisible → circle behind → attack again.

The entire process left a clear trail.

Fundantally, his movent speed and attack power hadn't increased at all.

"Flashy tricks. All style, no substance. Disappointing."

With that final verdict, Shinji stopped playing around.

At the mont he deflected another attack, he seized the opening and delivered an extrely subtle kick.

Bang!

The sinister man was sent flying, smashing through a tree before crashing to the ground.

"It's over."

Gritting his teeth through the agony, the sinister man tried to perform [Hollow Concealnt] once more—

But Shinji, already bored, gave him no such chance.

Beheading. Execution.

Fueled by terrifying explosive power, the blade descended like lightning.

Slash!

An entire row of trees was cleanly severed at the waist.

The sinister man remained standing, hands frozen mid-seal, terror filling his eyes.

Thud… thud…

A faint breeze passed by.

A thin red line appeared at his neck.

His head rolled lifelessly onto the ground.

Hoisting the Executioner's Blade onto his shoulder, Shinji lifted his gaze to the bright moon overhead, squinting slightly.

"What a perfect night for wiping out a household~"

Not long after, once the last person hiding inside the base had been found and drained dry by "Little Black," Shinji regrouped with Hidan at the main entrance.

"'Little Black' says there are no survivors left inside. How about you?" Shinji glanced at the pile of corpses Hidan was sitting on and asked a completely pointless question.

"No one escapes Hidan's grasp! Hahahaha—!" Hidan threw his head back in wild laughter.

"Yes, yes. At most, that guy just chopped you into pieces and hung you on a wall as decoration."

Shinji's blunt remark instantly cut off Hidan's laughter, which was followed by his furious protests.

"How can that Cursed thing even count as a person?!"

What followed was a string of incoherent argunts—things like "monsters don't count as people" and "my weapon was stolen"—which ended up making even Shinji laugh out loud.

"What are you laughing at?! Laugh again and I'll kill you, bastard!" Hidan snapped, rolling up his sleeves in embarrassnt.

"Alright, alright, I won't laugh. Let's get to business. Didn't you want to perform the ritual? I had 'Little Black' drag all the bodies out. Go ahead."

In the end, more than eight hundred corpses piled up into a small hill, their seeping blood staining the ground crimson. ("Little Black" had only absorbed a small portion.)

Many of the dead wore expressions of sheer terror—any timid soul witnessing this scene would probably faint on the spot.

Yet the two instigators, Hidan and Shinji, looked completely relaxed. Working together, they carved a massive ritual pattern into the ground, with the pile of corpses placed at its center.

"To the omnipotent and great Jashin, we offer the most sincere sacrifices!"

"May your cruel gaze forever fall upon ."

"May your evil will guide my path."

"May your undying spirit grant eternal life!"

As Hidan chanted his unholy yet solemn prayer, vast amounts of blood flowed into the grooves they had carved, rapidly filling them.

Viewed from above, the ground revealed a massive blood-red symbol.

A heretical ritual totem, watered by the blood of hundreds.

Of course, Shinji didn't believe in any of that Jashin nonsense.

He simply stood aside, quietly waiting for the ritual to end.

At last, when Hidan finished reciting the sacrificial prayer, the ceremony ca to a close.

The system notification Shinji had been waiting for imdiately rang out.

[Mission: Final Chapter of the Jashin Cult] Completed.

[Rewards Issued: Bond Binding Ticket x1, Cursed Soul Value x2000, Bond Value 100]

The bond value between Shinji and Hidan had now reached a staggering 800 points, while Shinji's cursed soul value had recovered to 6400.

And most importantly—

He finally had a chance to start milking soone else for benefits.
