The already unstable interior of the Jashin Cult suddenly grew even more turbulent, dark undercurrents surging beneath the surface.

Believing himself to have been betrayed, Hidan simply avoided Shinji altogether, refusing to et him.

And Shinji didn't actually go looking for him either. Instead, he made sure to keep up appearances, continuing to lay the groundwork for the scenes to co.

He had even prepared several contingency plans in advance—plans A, B, C, and D.

No matter how Hidan chose to kick up a fuss, Shinji was confident that, in the end, he would harvest a massive amount of Bond Points. It was only a question of how many.

What surprised him sowhat, though, was Hidan's "cold" reaction.

Hidan neither sought him out to confront him nor went on a direct killing spree. It was as if he were waiting for an answer.

Shinji thought it over carefully and more or less understood.

It was a chain reaction caused by the excessively high Bond value. So even though Hidan had personally witnessed him conspiring with Cult Leader Takihata, he still left room for doubt in his heart.

What if… it was just a misunderstanding?

Hidan wasn't sure, so he restrained his urge to slaughter.

He was waiting—waiting for a reason that would allow him to abandon everything and unleash a massacre without restraint.

To be honest, when Shinji more or less figured out what Hidan was thinking, he was actually a little moved.

Since when did an executioner who disregarded life and killed without blinking ever consider soone else's feelings?

Clearly, that could only an one thing.

To Hidan, this person… was special.

"This is getting tricky. I need to think of a solution."

After mulling it over, the bla ultimately had to fall on Cult Leader Takihata.

So Shinji imdiately went to see Takihata again to discuss matters.

That night.

Hidan lay on his bed with both hands tucked beneath his head. When he heard a knock on the door, his eyes snapped open.

Without even asking who it was, he replied bluntly, "Get lost!"

The knocking stopped. Then a voice ca from outside the door.

"It's . Shinji."

Hidan was silent for a mont. "What do you want?"

"I heard you've been staying in here and didn't go eat at noon or in the evening, so I had soone prepare a little sothing and brought it over."

"No appetite. Take it away."

"Alright… I'll just leave it at the door then. Rember to eat it later. Also, before I go, there's sothing I want to say to you—I've always been on your side."

On my side?

Hidan let out a cold chuckle.

If he hadn't overheard that conversation the other day, he might actually have believed it.

But this whole performance was just too fake!

The Akagi Shinji he knew would never speak to him in such a gentle, caring tone—let alone say sothing so nauseating.

Disgusting!

If there was nothing wrong with the food, he'd publicly perform a handstand and wash his hair.

Yet after a while, he suddenly got up, opened the door, picked up the food left outside, and carried it back inside. Then he began eating in large mouthfuls.

There was no other reason—he just needed an excuse to convince himself.

Clatter…

Halfway through the al, the chopsticks slipped from his hand and fell to the floor. His complexion turned bluish-purple.

"Now… no one can stop anymore."

Hidan muttered to himself blankly.

His heart was a tangled ss—confusion, doubt, pain, anger, and finally, release…

Since the food really had been poisoned, there was nothing left to say.

Tonight, it would end only with death!

Just as he raised his hand to grab the Bloody Three-Bladed scythe, he suddenly froze.

Because he couldn't help recalling the scene from back then, when Shinji had placed that weapon into his hands.

Compared to now, it was nothing but bitter irony.

Hidan resolutely withdrew his hand, abandoning the Bloodscythe. Instead, he picked up two jet-black, extendable spears and concealed them within his sleeves.

"This world really has always been so boring…"

"Then let's find a bit of fun."

Let the slaughter began!

Having severed his bonds, Hidan didn't care in the slightest that the poison inside his body was spreading rapidly. He pushed the door open and strode out.

"You—"

Thud!

A Jashin Cult follower rely glanced at Hidan in surprise, only to have Hidan rush over in two or three steps and drive a spear straight through his heart.

"Great Lord Jashin, your most faithful follower will offer you the most delicious sacrifices."

"And you… are the first."

"Bathe in glory and go serve Lord Jashin."

Thump.

The man collapsed to the ground, dead with eyes wide open, filled with unwillingness and utter confusion.

To his dying breath, he couldn't understand why that madman Hidan would do this.

"Murder!"

Two followers happened to be passing by. One of them cried out instinctively.

When they noticed Hidan's figure rapidly enlarging in their vision, they imdiately realized sothing was wrong.

"I didn't do any—"

"Don't kill—ah!"

Thud, thud!

Two precise, lightning-fast strikes to the throat pierced clean through, blocking the words they were about to say.

"Only three so far. I need to speed this up."

After muttering to himself, Hidan made no effort to hide, continuing straight toward the outside.

The earlier cry of "Murder!" had already drawn plenty of attention, and so people began rushing over.

Most were there to watch the commotion, but there were also personnel specifically responsible for handling incidents like this.

After all, it didn't matter how many people died outside. But if the organization's interior descended into lawless, unchecked mutual slaughter, there'd be no need for outsiders to intervene—they'd destroy themselves first.

"Hidan, what are you doing?!"

"Was killing all those people before still not enough for you?"

The two supervisors spoke one after the other, their expressions grim.

If they'd known things would escalate this badly, they should have stopped that group of newcors back then.

Now look—so many lives lost, and they themselves were getting dragged into trouble.

What rotten luck!

They cursed inwardly, but they weren't particularly afraid of Hidan.

They hadn't provoked that lunatic, and besides, in their eyes, Hidan wouldn't be jumping around for much longer anyway.

But nothing in this world is absolute.

"Die!"

Clang!

Hidan suddenly exploded into action, pinning one person to the wall, then lifting a foot to kick the other away. As he flew backward, he even smashed through a wall.

The crowd finally erupted into chaos!

This ti, Hidan was clearly killing indiscriminately—anyone who appeared before him was spared no rcy!

So people ran off, saying they were going to notify the Cult Leader.

So had long disliked Hidan and were now calling for others to gang up and simply kill him.

Others just hid.

Liking to kill didn't an they liked being killed.

At this mont, Hidan was like a cold, emotionless killing machine, slaughtering everyone in his path.

When Cult Leader Takihata received the news, not only was he not angry—he actually let out a sigh of relief.

"Rember to pass on my words exactly as I said them later. Soone will naturally deal with him then. Don't ss this up."

"Yes, Cult Leader."
