As Shigure finished speaking, the blade in his hand glead with a flash of silver.

Every hidden weapon flying toward him was knocked down by the arc of his strike.

"What kind of swordsmanship is that... How can this be possible?!"

To deflect so many projectiles with a single movent—it was unbelievable.

The three Genin who had rushed forward weren't stunned for long. They lunged, kunai raised, aiming for Shigure.

Facing them head-on, Shigure observed their positions coldly.

His sword angled downward, poised. In a blink, the blade drew a sharp crescent through the air with a piercing whistle.

He stepped in.

One strike.

The first attacker dropped instantly.

Turning on his heel, Shigure shifted his grip, the blade sweeping downward again. The flat of the sword t the second Genin's neck with brutal force.

The blow sent the boy's eyes rolling back into his skull.

The last Genin froze.

One more step and he'd walk directly into Shigure's waiting blade.

Shigure raised his head slowly. Though he was clearly looking up at the boy, it felt like he was towering over him.

"No wonder you're still Genin at your age. Your taijutsu is awful."

In Shigure's eyes, every move they made was riddled with openings.

He didn't even need to activate the Great Sage's accelerated thought process.

Even in normal thought speed, he could think of five or six ways to take them all down instantly.

"Outta the way. Let this punk try my Fire Style."

With that, the others leapt back, widening the distance.

"Fire Style: Fla Bullet!"

A roaring ball of fire burst forth, growing rapidly until it spanned over a ter in width as it hurtled through the air.

Shigure watched the oncoming blaze calmly.

"Finally. Sothing worth reacting to."

He lifted his sword and pointed it directly at the fireball.

And then—

He breathed.

From the sidelines, the Genin sneered in their hearts.

"He hasn't dodged? This kid's done for!"

But—

Breathe.

First Form – Face Slash.

One clean cut.

A flat, flowing strike split the fireball cleanly down the middle.

The sound of water rushing through the air echoed as the flas collapsed and were extinguished by the flow of chakra along the sword's edge.

The Genin who'd cast the jutsu stood frozen.

His eyes locked on Shigure in disbelief.

A kid just cut through ninjutsu with a sword?

"Is he... a Jonin?"

No way. Only a Jonin should be able to do that.

"That's impossible! How can you block ninjutsu with just swordsmanship? He's not even a real ninja yet!"

"Co again," Shigure said coolly.

Those two simple words made them all grit their teeth in anger.

But Shigure wasn't taunting.

At the mont the Fla Bullet had been split apart, the Great Sage's voice echoed in his mind:

[Calculating...]

[Breathing Style – Estimated Power Increase: ██%]

Destroying a Fire Style technique had increased his mastery percentage.

The more they attacked, the faster he improved.

"Don't tell

you're scared now. Or maybe... you've already run out of chakra?"

Shigure's voice was calm, but to the Genin, it was pure provocation.

"Everyone, use ninjutsu! This brat's way too arrogant. If we let him keep going, we're the ones who'll be a joke!"

"Yeah!"

If a team of Genin couldn't even defeat an unranked kid, they didn't deserve to call themselves ninja.

"Fire Style!"

"Earth Style!"

"Wind Style!"

Multiple jutsu erupted at once—and Shigure grinned in delight.

"Fire Style – Fire Dragon Bullet!"

Second Form – Carve the Flow!

Shigure turned, swinging his blade in a spiraling arc—a flowing vertical ring of chakra that cleaved through the incoming fire technique.

Even the Genin casting the jutsu took a hit—his shoulder was grazed by the edge of the slash.

Almost simultaneously—

"Earth Style: Earth Split!"

The ground beneath Shigure cracked with force. Chunks of stone burst into the air, flying toward him.

Shigure didn't flinch.

Form of the Universe – Tidal Surge!

A series of rapid slashes erupted from Shigure's sword, each one clean and precise—shattering every rock flung at him from the earth-style technique.

The flowing energy that exploded forth with each swing stunned the onlooking Genin.

What... what kind of swordsmanship is this?!

The sword art was imbued with a chakra flow that radiated explosive power. This wasn't just any kenjutsu—it was sothing entirely new, sothing none of them had ever seen before.

One of the Genin finally snapped out of his daze. This is serious. This wasn't so rogue technique—it was sothing dangerous. It had to be reported to the higher-ups imdiately.

But the others, unwilling to lose face, pushed their shock aside and kept attacking.

They hurled ninjutsu, closed in with taijutsu, and surrounded Shigure on all sides.

One boy stood alone against the full might of the training field.

Nearly a hundred Genin unleashed attack after attack.

And Shigure?

He smiled.

Because—

[Calculating...]

[Breathing Style – Estimated Power Increase: ██%]

[Breathing Style – Estimated Power Increase: ██%]

[Breathing Sword Technique – Power increased by 4%]

The steady increase in the technique's effectiveness filled Shigure with genuine satisfaction.

So these guys aren't completely useless after all.

Even their attacks were helping him refine and enhance his Breathing Sword Technique.

Not bad.

anwhile…

Gekkō Hayate, just returning to the village, pushed open the door to Shigure's house.

"No one?"

Shigure should've returned ho from the Academy by now. So where had he gone?

He hoped the kid was still practicing his swordsmanship seriously.

He was about to find out—Shigure wasn't just training seriously. What awaited Hayate would be a shock far greater than anything he anticipated.

In the Hokage's Office…

The Genin who escaped the training field stood before the Third Hokage, reporting everything that had happened.

Hiruzen Sarutobi was reading mission reports as usual. But the mont the Genin ntioned Shigure—a boy not even graduated from the Academy—using a strange form of kenjutsu to unleash chakra and overpower dozens of Genin…

He froze.

"Is everything you've said true?"

The Genin nodded firmly.

Hiruzen waved him off, his expression unreadable. Once alone, he pulled out his crystal ball and activated the Telescope Technique.

He focused on the Konoha training ground—

And what he saw left even the Third Hokage speechless.

A single boy, wielding a simple ninja sword, stood in the center of the field.

Surrounded on all sides by elental attacks—fire, earth, wind—he cut through them all. His sword swung through the chaos, channeling a flowing, spiral vortex of chakra that nullified the incoming ninjutsu.

One after another, his strikes created brilliant arcs of light and pressure that disrupted the attacks completely.

This wasn't just talent.

This was genius.

A re child...

With a ninja sword...

Holding his own against nearly a hundred opponents.

Could this be a swordsmanship genius?

Hiruzen recalled what Hayate had once said: "Shigure might one day rival the White Fang."

Now, seeing it with his own eyes, Hiruzen realized—

Shigure might already surpass him.

Even Sakumo Hatake, the fad White Fang, had never combined elental chakra with kenjutsu to this degree.

But this boy—this unranked child—had fused swordsmanship and chakra flow into one.

He had done what even the White Fang could not.
