Erging from the moist forest, a group of Konoha ninjas saw a wide, reinforced concrete bridge. Bold letters spelling "Heaven and Earth Bridge" were written on the vermilion bridge pillar.
Below the bridge, a massive gorge over a hundred ters deep roared with turbulent waters, creating a whistling sound as the wind swept through.

One of the enemy ninjas spotted Jiraiya among the Konoha team and cried out in alarm. But Jiraiya's pre-prepared jutsu was already unleashed.

The toad beneath him spewed oil as Jiraiya expelled flas. The combination created a devastating fire that engulfed the area. The flas adhered to surfaces, burning hotter than usual fire techniques.

A Jonin identified the mostly dark-skinned, muscular enemy ninjas. Their headbands bore the symbol "Plunder," instantly recognizable. Moreover, there were over eighty of them.
Jiraiya, noticing the heavy atmosphere among his team, burst into laughter and said, "Ah, the notorious rcenary bandits of the Land of Lightning. But why did you bring so much deadweight this ti?"
Among the eighty enemy ninjas, only about thirty wore headbands signifying allegiance, while the rest appeared to be rogue or hired ninjas.
"Kushina!"
From the formation, Namikaze Minato suddenly shouted. Uzumaki Kushina's pupils dilated, her eyes filled with bloodshot rage as she locked onto figures in the distance.

Jiraiya's shout seed to bolster the Konoha ninjas' morale. However, the enemy rcenaries sneered and mocked them.
