The treasured blades of the Hatake clan, such as the White Fang short sword, weren't suitable for Kakashi.

In Sakumo Hatake's hands, the short sword could strike fear into enemies.

But if it were given to Takuya, it likely wouldn't take long before it ended up broken, much like the Raijin Sword did in the past.

Kakashi needed a chakra weapon more akin to the Kusanagi Sword rather than the White Fang short sword. Crafting such a chakra weapon required a significant amount of money.

Sakumo couldn't expect Kakashi to earn enough to purchase materials and hire soone to craft it himself.

Many rare materials couldn't simply be bought with money.

Orochimaru, in his usual resourcefulness, had obtained several Kusanagi Swords at once.

Unfortunately, the remaining swords weren't suitable for Kakashi. Otherwise, Sakumo could have purchased one from Orochimaru. He probably wouldn't have refused.

Feeling frustrated, Sakumo paid the funds and left the Hokage's office.

"Hahaha! I'm rich!"

Tsunade laughed like a child. She could barely rember the last ti she went to a gambling den. Now that her pockets were full, it was the perfect opportunity to relax and play a few rounds. Recently, she'd been working herself to exhaustion.

Leaving Tsunade to her self-indulgence, Sakumo finished his work and returned ho.

Seeing his son's arms wrapped in bandages, Sakumo couldn't help but scold him.

"You little brat! Didn't I tell you not to use your teacher's techniques until your body was fully developed?"

"You don't even have a proper chakra weapon! Don't you know using unstable lightning chakra can harm your body without the right weapon to channel it?"

"..."

Kakashi lowered his head, guilty and silent, enduring the scolding without protest.

Sakumo berated him to his heart's content.

Kakashi regretted his actions deeply. Desperate for Takuya's approval and praise, he had acted impulsively... and ruined everything. Even worse, he dragged Takuya into the situation, causing the Konoha Hospital doctors to lash out at him.

After venting his frustrations, and lightened by the thought of only losing over a million ryo, Sakumo ruffled Kakashi's hair to comfort him.

"Rest and recover for now. Once your body heals, you can resu training. I'll figure out a way to get you a suitable weapon."

"Oh, by the way," Sakumo added as he turned to start preparing dinner. "Besides your injured arms, nothing else happened today, right?"

Kakashi tilted his head, thinking for a mont, then weakly replied, "Teacher took to the hospital... and the doctors yelled at him."

Sakumo froze.

Damn it!

I don't have a son like you!

He had thought dealing with Tsunade's demands had wrapped things up. But now there was another headache—Takuya.

The next morning, Sakumo took the day off, bringing Kakashi and so gifts to Takuya's house.

The mont they stepped inside, they were greeted by a barrage of scolding.

"Are you out of your mind, Sakumo? Handing such a dangerous technique to a child? Didn't I say I'd personally guide him when the ti was right?"

"Seriously! You let him attempt it without a suitable weapon? Aren't you afraid of crippling his hands?"

"Powerful techniques co with serious risks, and you know that better than anyone! What are you, a child yourself?"

Takuya's tirade nearly drenched Sakumo in saliva.

"Haha, my apologies, my apologies! It won't happen again, I swear!" Sakumo tried to laugh it off, quickly changing the subject.

"Again?" Takuya's voice rose several notches.

Kakashi instinctively took a step back, worried he'd get caught in the crossfire.

Poor dad. The only reason he's not hitting must be because I'm his biological son.

Pakura handed Kakashi a bottle of milk with a straw already inserted. Snowy, lying on the sofa, looked at Kakashi with schadenfreude in its gaze.

Serves you right, brat! Master's techniques aren't for just anyone to ss around with.

In the end, the apology session concluded with Sakumo being thoroughly berated.

You're dead at, kid, Sakumo thought, casting a fierce glare at Kakashi. Once you're healed, I'll deal with you personally.

Seeing that Takuya was still fuming, Sakumo awkwardly laughed.

"This ti was my fault. It won't happen again. Actually, I've been trying to get Kakashi a proper chakra weapon, but chakra tal is just too expensive and rare."

Even with his status and connections, it was incredibly difficult for Sakumo to acquire enough chakra tal. That spoke volus about how precious it was.

To make matters worse, the village's supply of chakra tal had been nearly depleted by Danzo in the past. Although so had been replenished over the years, the quantity was still insufficient, and it couldn't all be allocated to Sakumo, even with his hero status.

Chakra tal?

Takuya happened to have plenty of it.

However, Kakashi didn't need a weapon like the White Fang short sword—it was too fragile. He required sothing akin to the Kusanagi Sword. Crafting such a weapon not only required chakra tal but also rare minerals.

On top of that, they would need to hire a master craftsman from the Land of Smithing, which would cost a small fortune.

Fortunately, the chakra tal Snowy had taken from Danzo had been sitting unused in Takuya's stash. It finally seed to have a purpose.

Raising an eyebrow, Takuya extended a hand toward Sakumo.

"???"

What now? Was scolding not enough? What's with the outstretched hand?

"Chakra tal, I have. Enough to craft a weapon. But rember: 30 million ryo, no bargaining, no credit."

"Pfft~~~"

You and Tsunade must have been born from a money tree! It's always about money.

Sakumo was dumbfounded. Even Kakashi was shocked. Thirty million ryo—just for the chakra tal. And that didn't include the other materials.

Wait.

You have chakra tal?

Sakumo imdiately grasped the significance of Takuya's words.

Takuya, unimpressed, snapped, "What, you thought it'd be free? You're not that greedy, are you?"

Friendship was one thing; business was another.

For ordinary items, Takuya wouldn't mind giving them away. But for sothing worth tens of millions of ryo? Even if Takuya was willing to gift it, Sakumo wouldn't dare accept it.

Most importantly, Takuya was already doing him a massive favor by selling such a rare commodity. Without him, even with money, Sakumo wouldn't have been able to procure it.

The Third Hokage was still struggling to find enough chakra tal to craft a weapon for his son, Asuma. What chance did Sakumo have?

"I'll get you the money soon," Sakumo promised. "I'll also prepare the other materials. Since you're Kakashi's teacher, why don't you take him to the Land of Smithing to have it crafted?"

Sakumo was careful to take only what was reasonable, ensuring not to overstep boundaries.

Knew you'd say that.

Takuya rolled his eyes but didn't argue.

Taking Kakashi to get a weapon crafted wasn't a big deal—it was part of his responsibility as a teacher.

"Father, does it really cost that much to craft a weapon?" Kakashi asked on their way ho, still stunned by the enormous price tag.

Stopping in his tracks, Sakumo looked at his son seriously.

"Kakashi, you need to understand. Being a ninja is a high-risk profession. But it's also highly rewarding. The stronger you are, the faster you earn. Without your teacher's connections, I wouldn't have been able to buy such rare chakra tal, even if I had the money. Do you understand?"

Kakashi nodded, finally grasping the weight of his father's words.
