Being "village chief" really wasn't anything to brag about.

Then Tsunade turned to Neji. "Neji, if you want the Hyūga clan to beco even more glorious, you want to be Hokage too, right?"
Neji didn't refuse at all. "I always assud Natsuki would be the future Hokage. But since Natsuki refuses… then I'll take it without hesitation!"
Mainly because those old fossils in his clan cared a great deal about that village-chief position.
If that was the case, then he'd give it a shot.
But Sasuke wasn't happy. "Neji, I can уступ on other things, but not the Hokage seat. Hokage… belongs to the Uchiha."

After a long ti, he returned the file to his dad with a grin.
Minato took one look and instantly went numb.
Tsunade snatched it too, and imdiately started slamming the desk. "Naruto, look at what you arranged! For a tiny mission like this, you assigned Shino—do you think an elite jōnin has nothing better to do?! And this mission is obviously suspicious, yet you sent a genin squad—are you sending them to their deaths?! And then there's this—this—this! And it takes you ages to process even one matter! There are piles of these every day! How are you going to be Hokage like this?!"

Naruto was completely stunned. Nobody had told him the Hokage had to do all this!
It was like Monkey D. Luffy wanting to beco Pirate King without understanding what being Pirate King actually ant. Naruto had been yelling that he'd be Hokage without even knowing what the Hokage's job involved.
It was hard not to laugh.
Minato could only comfort him. "Naruto, don't be discouraged. Even if you can't make it as the next one, then fight for the one after that. Dad believes you can do it."
Naruto imdiately pulled himself together. "Yeah! I'll definitely beco Hokage and make everyone acknowledge , dattebayo!"
"Heh. Having confidence is good. If you have a dream, you have to start working for it."
As Minato spoke, he turned to Tsunade. "Tsunade-sama, could I ask you for a position? Let Naruto do so office work—help with simpler tasks."
Tsunade doted on Naruto anyway, so she agreed. "Fine. Starting today, Naruto will be Kakashi's secretary. Naruto, Kakashi will teach you properly. You need to learn properly too. Whether you can beco Hokage depends on you!"
Naruto nodded vigorously. "Okay! I'll work hard!"
Little did he know, this was the beginning of suffering.

But Natsuki didn't know any of that. He and Tenten had received leave, so they started finalizing their invitation list, then began writing and delivering invitations one by one.
