Natsuki shouted, rging the two chakra natures and unleashing them. In an instant, a stream of white fluid shot out from his palm at an incredible speed, striking a distant mountain.
The next second—BOOM!
A massive hole was instantly blasted into the mountainside.
"Did I succeed? Let try again. Storm Release!"
Natsuki fired another rapid white stream, confirming it was undoubtedly laser-like – not only controllable, but extrely fast and powerful, just as Storm Release was described!
He had really done it!
"Hehe… hahaha! I finally have a kekkei genkai too!"
Natsuki was overwheld with excitent. When he glanced at the remaining ti in the special laboratory, he was stunned to see he still had an hour left. It seed that, thanks to his predecessors' notes, the experint went far more smoothly than expected.
Since he still had ti, Natsuki decided to familiarize himself with Storm Release and ideally develop his own jutsu.
As for Darui from the Hidden Cloud and that Hiruko from the movie, he didn't really rember their Storm Release techniques in detail.
Besides, his fighting style differed from theirs. It was better to develop jutsu that matched his own combat habits.
Given that Storm Release was essentially a form of laser, Natsuki imdiately thought of Admiral Kizaru from the Marines. That guy's techniques were simple yet absurdly powerful.
"That can serve as reference. Let's try it."
Natsuki extended his index finger toward the mountain. Activating Storm Release, a laser beam shot out from his fingertip.
This move was simple, but definitely not to be underestimated. Although it was called a laser, he could freely control its speed and direction. In Japanese terms, it was known as 'Yasakani no Magatama'.
However, Natsuki didn't care for flashy technique nas. He decided to simply call it "Finger Laser."
He continued experinting, such as developing Storm Shunshin – using Storm Release's speed to perform Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Technique) faster and more stably than Lightning Shunshin, making it far more suitable for combat. Moreover, he didn't even need to use the White Fang Sword Technique; just a single kick with a laser beam was enough, and he could freely adjust its power.
"Huh? Storm Shunshin? A kick that fires a laser? Speed is power… Have you ever been kicked at the speed of light?"
Natsuki's lips twitched. It really was starting to feel like Kizaru. If he wore a yellow-striped suit and said "Kowai ne~", he'd basically beco Kizaru himself!
But that was way too sleazy, so he quickly abandoned the thought.
Since he was referencing Kizaru, he also developed other techniques, like Yasakani no Magatama – rapidly firing countless laser bullets, and Ama no Murakumo – creating a massive sword of laser light.
All in all, there was a lot to play with!
The night passed, and his ti in the laboratory ended.
Yet Natsuki was so excited that he didn't feel tired at all. Successfully creating a kekkei genkai had left him too exhilarated to sleep, and developing new techniques was simply addictive.
Eventually, the excitent faded, replaced by deep exhaustion.
Without even showering, he crawled into bed and imdiately fell asleep.
When he woke up again, the sll of delicious food filled his nose. He opened his eyes groggily to find his body feeling fresh and clean, and his clothes changed.
There was no need to guess – it was clearly Tenten's doing. And the fragrant aroma surely ant she was cooking now.
"Natsuki, you're awake."
Tenten walked in, eyes lighting up with joy when she saw him. Suddenly, she jumped onto the bed, straddling the blanket over him, her hands pressing down on his shoulders as she looked straight into his eyes.
Natsuki stared back in a daze, seeing the worry in her eyes. He instinctively said, "Tenten… sorry for worrying you…"
But Tenten covered his mouth before he could finish. "Let speak first. Natsuki, I know about your dream world every first of the month, and I know how hard you train and study to beco stronger. So when I saw you sleeping here, I wasn't too worried at first. All I could do was wash you and change your clothes. But… you slept straight through to the evening. I was so scared sothing happened to you…"
As she spoke, her eyes reddened with tears.
Natsuki couldn't bear it. He pulled her under the covers and hugged her tightly.
He kissed her deeply for a long ti, only stopping once her emotions stabilized, then began explaining. "Actually… last night I was trying to fuse lightning and water chakra natures, and I succeeded in creating Storm Release kekkei genkai. I got so excited that I spent the whole night testing it, and by the ti I got ho, I was exhausted and just passed out. I'm sorry for worrying you… um, Tenten, why do you suddenly look so intense?"
Tenten abruptly flipped him over, pinning him beneath her as her voice rose sharply. "Natsuki… did you just say you created a kekkei genkai?"
Natsuki nodded. "Yeah, that's what I said."
"Storm Release?" she asked.
"Storm Release," he confird.
"A kekkei genkai that can be inherited?" she demanded.
"A kekkei genkai that can be inherited!" Natsuki replied firmly.
Tenten was silent for a long mont. Then, without warning, she began pulling at Natsuki's clothes, startling him into grabbing her hands to stop her.
"What are you doing, Tenten?!"
Her face flushed red. "Didn't you just say you created an inheritable Storm Release kekkei genkai? Then… of course we need to have a baby right away!"
Natsuki almost burst out laughing. "Tenten, you're only fourteen! Why are you in such a rush?!"
Tenten pouted. "I'm worried, okay? You're becoming more and more amazing. Now you even created a kekkei genkai. I'm scared soone will steal my husband away! So… let's have a baby first!"
"Hahaha! You silly girl!"
Natsuki was thoroughly amused. Hugging his silly girlfriend tightly, he said softly, "Alright, alright. Tenten, I've been chasing you since I was six, and we confird our relationship so quickly. We've been together for six or seven years now, always loving each other deeply. Do you really think I'd ever betray you? We've already been living together, bathing together, sleeping together… except for that final step, aren't you already my wife?"
Tenten didn't reply, rely snuggling deeper into his arms, clearly loving his words.
Thinking about it carefully, she realized he was right. As long as they still loved each other, there was nothing to worry about.
Afterward, Natsuki got up to wash up, then they ate dinner together before crawling back under the covers, cuddling as if they never wanted to separate.
Natsuki also told her about how he created Storm Release. "It's thanks to the Senju library. I read a lot of the elders' notes. They were so helpful. So elders even theorized about kekkei genkai fusion, so I thought I'd give it a try. Since I can experint however I want in that dream world, I tried it out… and it worked."
Tenten nodded fervently. "My husband is such a genius!"
