No way!
I must find a way to force myself into this mission.
Shiratori was in the training grounds, while Chiba was in Hanzō's office.
As the sky overhead turned deep blue, he imdiately ran out of the training grounds, heading in Chiba's direction.
To find a way to join the mission, he had his crow monitor Chiba from above A ever since Chiba left Hanzō's office.
Knowing Chiba's exact location, he planned carefully to stage a "chance" encounter.
"Chiba-nisan!"
"What a coincidence!"
He suddenly appeared from the other side of the street and ran toward Chiba. He stopped in front of Chiba and showed him a bright smile.
Chiba snapped out of his thoughts, looked at his smiling face, and paused for a mont. "What are you doing here?"
He glanced around. This place was quite a distance from the training grounds, why had he co all the way here?
Shiratori looked at Chiba, seeming to gauge his reaction, as if afraid he might be angry. In a small voice, he said, "Okay, the truth is, I ca to find you."
Chiba frowned, a flash of concern in his eyes. "Did sothing happen?"
Why else would he co looking for him on purpose?
Shiratori looked up at Chiba, his lips quivering slightly and eyes turning red. "Nothing happened."
But hearing that only made Chiba more worried, not less. His reaction clearly ant sothing had happened.
"What exactly happened?"
He crouched in front of the boy, looking him in the eye and asking seriously.
Shiratori's eyes reddened further. He sniffled, tears gathering. "I... I missed you. You never co to see . Aren't you my brother? If you won't co see , then I have to co find you..."

Shiratori nearly burst out laughing.
Luckily, he managed to stabilize his emotions by thinking about sothing else.
Chiba's chest tightened. Sothing heavy settled in his throat, making it hard to breathe, and yet, he couldn't speak.
Looking at Shiratori in front of him, he took a deep breath to suppress his emotions and coldly said, "I'm not your brother, and you're not my family. You don't need to co find again."
He recalled that mission, the one he might not co back from. For Shiratori's sake, it was better to sever their bond now.
He didn't like the person he was becoming, once a person had attachnts, they could no longer be as fearless as before.
He wanted to remain soone who could give everything to A without hesitation.
Shiratori stood there as if struck by lightning, staring at Chiba in a daze, tears welling up in his eyes.
"You're too cruel!"
"You're not my brother!"
"I'm never talking to you again!"
He covered his face and ran off.
As he ran, he wailed loudly, while also quietly waiting for the system notification.
Why hadn't it sounded yet?
Behind the hands covering his face, his eyes were full of anticipation.

Profit!
Pure profit!
Totally worth the trip!
With a grinning face still hidden behind his hands, he returned to his apartnt. Only after closing the door did he lower his hands, revealing a face full of satisfaction.
Flopping down onto the tatami mat, he accessed the system interface ntally, What can this newly generated cursed spirit do?
[Access personal status interface for detailed information.]
[Select Guilt entity for complete specifications.]
I'm asking you directly. Isn't providing information part of your function?
When the system stayed silent, he tried a different approach, System malfunction report needed.
[Information request acknowledged.]

[Karmic Cocoon: Guilt]
Origin: Born from accumulated guilt from broken promises, betrayed trust, or failure to prevent tragedy.
Techniques:
Karmic Rebirth (Active): Chains extend from the cocoon to pierce the enemy's body, forcibly making them share in the curse spirit's guilt and pain. The technique amplifies the enemy's own feelings of guilt until their mind collapses. Their body and soul are then absorbed by the curse spirit and converted into its power source.
Swarm of Guilt (Active): Summons countless tiny worm-shaped cursed spirits. These worms devour the enemy's joyful mories, intensifying guilt and distorting consciousness. They burrow into wounds to lay eggs, which hatch and feed on the enemy's cursed energy, returning it to the curse spirit. The victim ultimately succumbs to guilt-induced brain death.
Scales of Judgnt (80% activation required): Forces the target into a "guilt judgnt." The curse spirit expands a domain (10-ter radius) where a giant golden scale appears in the air. The enemy must manifest their most painful guilty mory as a weight on one side of the scale. The other side manifests their most cherished thing (e.g., life, loved ones). If the "cherished weight" outweighs the "guilt weight," their soul is ripped from their body and fed to the curse spirit.
Domain Expansion: Eternal Reckoning (100% activation required)

What the hell?
Why do so techniques require certain levels to activate? Rika and Sukuna didn't have that kind of restriction.
He suspected the system was creating arbitrary limitations.
[Pre-existing cursed spirits have full technique access upon binding.]
[Generated cursed spirits require developnt for technique unlocking.]
So you're saying all generated curse spirits are like Guilt? That their techniques can't be used unless you level them up?
[Affirmative.]
That's ridiculous!
[Clarification: Only special grade generated cursed spirits follow this restriction.]
[Lower grade generated spirits have imdiate technique access.]
...Then I'll stick with special grade cursed spirits after all.
After all, whether it was special grade or grade 1, you still need to level them up.
Might as well choose the ones with the higher ceiling.
[System note: Generated cursed spirits correlate with emotional intensity.]
[Ordinary emotions produce lower grade manifestations only.]
Right, he'd forgotten that part.
He closed his eyes.
