It was already late into the night.

In a deserted park, Garp plopped down onto a bench with a heavy sigh, once again reminded of how hard life could be.

"Ugh… Turns out Berries don't work in this world. No money ans sleeping on the streets, not even a al to eat. I'm starving…"

His stomach let out a loud rumble.

Noticing Sakura's gaze beside him, Garp let out a sheepish laugh and scratched his head—an expression of embarrassnt rarely seen on his face.

He'd just adopted a granddaughter, only to end up sleeping rough with her the very sa night. Even for Garp, this level of poor planning was a little hard to bear.

Only now did he think of that so-called Lord God.

Claiming to be all-powerful and capable of exchanging anything, could the Lord God really not handle sothing as small as food?

In response, a translucent screen appeared before him.

Line after line detailed the Lord God's world rules and restrictions, and among them was a key line:

[During Reincarnator Missions, exchange and upload functions are locked.]

"Tch! What, the Lord God thinks he's a 24/7 convenience store, always at your beck and call?"

Garp spat in annoyance.

But… yeah, it kind of did seem like that.

"So, no exchanges. Looks like I'll have to figure this out myself…"

Garp scratched his dog-head hat.

That said, he really should start thinking about this so-called mission.

Though it was a pain to have so mysterious guy suddenly issuing him commands, he couldn't just hang around this world forever.

After all, he still had two little ones waiting back ho!

"Stop seven mages, seize a Holy Grail that's already been corrupted… Sounds kinda fun, actually."

Just as he was lost in thought, a chilling, eerie laugh broke the silence.

"Hehehehehe~"

A tall, robed man in deep blue slowly materialized in the air, his bulging, fish-like eyes darting around creepily. His appearance was unforgettable.

"A little girl brimming with water-elent magical energy… truly the perfect offering to defile the gods, Ryuunosuke."

"Boss! This ti, make sure I get to see a super cool death!"

From the entrance of the park, a young man with orange hair—Ryuunosuke—walked in with an excited grin.

That genuine smile was the kind only soone who viewed killing as pleasure could make.

Bluebeard and Ryuunosuke—a pair of deranged lunatics.

Since Ryunosuke summoned Bluebeard (a.k.a. Gilles de Rais), they had already massacred dozens of elentary schoolers—earning the title "child killers."

Of course, Garp didn't know any of that.

He just thought these two were being awfully disrespectful, plotting sothing against Sakura right in front of him.

"Do I not look like a powerhouse at all!?"

Still… they ntioned sothing about magic in Sakura's body. So were these two… magi?

His eyes lit up with curiosity, and he grinned.

"You two wouldn't happen to be participants in the Holy Grail War, would you?"

"Holy Grail War…? How do you know that na? Wait… are you a magus too? No, no… you don't have the aura of magical energy," Bluebeard's eyes spun strangely.

But Garp had t all kinds of weirdos in his life and wasn't fazed. He just bead even more brightly.

"So you're a magus, then? Mind telling where the Holy Grail is?"

"Hehehe… Doesn't matter how you found out about the Grail. In the end, it's mine and mine alone. I'll use it to resurrect Jeanne!"

Bluebeard's bulging eyes glead as he spoke.

Sohow, he was already holding a thick, foul-slling to in his hands.

Prelati's Spellbook—a grimoire bound in human skin, one of Bluebeard's strongest Noble Phantasms as a Caster-class servant.

Ranked S by Nawaki's system.

Placing his hand on the book, Bluebeard let out a bone-chilling laugh.

"Watch closely, Ryuunosuke…"

A glimr of magical light flashed across the book's surface.

In the next mont—

Dozens of thick, slimy tentacles shot out from the ground, wriggling and dripping strange fluids as they lunged toward Sakura and Garp.

Their speed was shocking—an ordinary person would've had no ti to react.

Garp frowned at the sight of the disgusting tentacles.

"Seriously? Is this world just bugs and tentacles now? Every weirdo I et uses these nasty things…"

Lifting Sakura onto his shoulder, Garp stomped down hard.

The sheer force shattered the park bench beneath him, and his speed surged in an instant. In the blink of an eye, he zipped past the tentacles and covered over ten ters—appearing right in front of Bluebeard.

The tentacles were fast… but Garp was faster.

Bluebeard saw only a blur before a fist smashed straight into his face.

One punch!

BOOM!

A muffled impact resounded.

With a sickening twist of the neck, Bluebeard was sent flying across the park and crashed into a distant flowerbed.

"He's not dead… right?"

Garp shook his fist a little and strolled toward where Bluebeard had landed.

He had deliberately not used Armant Haki, just to keep his attack from being fatal. He didn't want to accidentally blow the guy's head off in one hit.

After all, he still wanted to interrogate this "magus" about the Holy Grail and complete his mission for the Lord God.

But when he reached the flowerbed, Bluebeard had vanished.

"Ran away, huh? Well… at least soone stayed behind."

Turning around, Garp looked toward Ryuunosuke, who was watching from a distance.

He suddenly flashed a bright, toothy smile.

"Hey kid, mind answering a question for ?"

That smile reminded Ryunosuke of how Bluebeard had just been sent flying—and he quickly raised both hands.

"I'll tell you everything! Ask anything!"

---

anwhile, high above in a realm unseen by Garp, Bluebeard hovered in the air—now in spirit form.

As a summoned servant, Heroic Spirits could shift into an incorporeal state at will. In this ghost-like form, they were invisible to normal humans and could phase through solid objects—including enemy attacks.

Of course, spirit form also prevented them from launching attacks. It was mainly a way to conserve mana and travel quickly.

"That guy's speed and strength are on par with a Berserker… If he adds any magical enhancents, he could actually hurt a servant."

Bluebeard's face twisted with frustration.

As a Caster, getting into lee brawls with Berserker-types was utter foolishness.

Especially since he was more of a half-baked magus who only excelled in summoning.

Without Jeanne in his sights, his mind was still functional—albeit just barely.

"Ryuunosuke, hang tight… I'll go gather so sacrifices and summon sothing big…"
