I knocked gently and imdiately noticed that the sound from this section of the wall was different—hollow, unlike the dull thud from the others.
"Found it!" Kaito's eyes lit up.
He clenched his fist as energy surged through his body. Violent chakra gathered around his knuckles, reaching a critical point—
Bang!!!
Snap!
Kaito's fist smashed into the wall. Cracks spread out like a spiderweb before the surface crumbled, debris scattering across the floor.
A basketball-sized hole appeared.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Three more punches widened the hole until it was big enough for him to pass through.
The passage beyond wasn't dark—torches lined both sides, their bright flas lighting the corridor ahead.
It wasn't a long tunnel. Kaito reached the end in no ti.
Before him stood rows of bookshelves filled with scrolls.
Kaito was stunned. This was far more than just the Uchiha clan's Fire Release techniques.
Sure enough, the shelves were divided into five areas—Wind, Lightning, Water, Fire, and Earth—each corresponding to one of the five basic chakra natures.
Among them, only the Fire Release section was full. The others were sparsely stocked, which made sense—the Uchiha clan was best known for their Fire-style ninjutsu.
From the Warring States period to now, all the ninjutsu the Uchiha clan had gathered were here.
These weren't just so random techniques—they were the legacy of the Uchiha clan!
"I've hit the jackpot!" Kaito's eyes sparkled with excitent.
Without hesitation, he pulled out the sealing scroll he'd prepared in advance and began collecting the scrolls from the Wind, Lightning, and Fire sections—the ones he could actually use.
Better to move fast. Who knew if soone might stumble in.
Once those were safely sealed away, Kaito relaxed a little. His main objective was complete.
Still, he opened a second sealing scroll and stored the remaining Water and Earth scrolls too. Even if he couldn't use them now, they might co in handy later.
At that mont, the Uchiha clan's hundred-year legacy now belonged to him.
Mission complete. Ti to go.
This place was now under Konoha's high-level surveillance. Though he wasn't afraid of a fight, it was best not to draw attention unless necessary.
As he considered his next move, Kaito stepped forward—and vanished into the shadows.
He moved fast, reappearing outside the Uchiha compound in a blink. After orienting himself, he disappeared again in a series of flickers.
Suddenly—
Kaito paused mid-run. He spun, lifted his left leg, and unleashed a powerful spinning kick behind him!
Over the past ten years, the ability he'd honed the most was his control over the Thunder Fruit. His mastery far surpassed that of the original user, Enel.
Coming from another world, he'd studied various forms of electricity-based powers—from ani, gas, and science fiction. Years ago, he'd even replicated Misaka Mikoto's electromagnetic abilities.
Because of that, Kaito had kept an electromagnetic field running constantly—like a radar, functioning as his own version of perception ninjutsu.
It's what allowed him to sneak around undetected until now.
Just monts ago, he sensed a spatial fluctuation behind him—and didn't hesitate.
His senses were clear. No one had been nearby before. Soone appearing out of nowhere could only an one thing:
They used space-ti ninjutsu.
And with Minato Namikaze gone, the only person in Konoha known to use such techniques now was—
Uchiha Obito.
One of the key figures in the Uchiha massacre, and a central puppet master behind the upcoming Fourth Great Ninja War.
"Oh? Thought you'd slip through the cracks, huh? Didn't expect a little rat like you to sense . Not bad…" a mocking voice ca from behind.
Kaito's spinning kick passed right through him—like he'd struck thin air.
"It's him." Kaito rolled mid-air and landed safely, widening the distance between them.
Under the blood-red moon, the wind rustled the black cloak with red clouds. An orange spiral mask concealed his face—except for a single glowing Sharingan eye.
There was no mistaking it.
The man in front of him was the last person Kaito wanted to see tonight—
Uchiha Obito. Madara's stand-in. Architect of the future war.
"Who are you? Why attack ? I don't recall having any grudge with you," Kaito said coldly through his mask.
"What do I think?" Obito replied casually. "You took sothing passed down through my clan for generations. I may not value it anymore, but letting so outsider steal it still rubs the wrong way."
His tone was playful—like a predator toying with its prey.
Kaito furrowed his brow. "I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Tsk tsk. Let's guess who you work for… Definitely not Danzo. His n don't show emotions—they're just tools. You must be one of Sarutobi's people, huh?"
Obito spoke as if Kaito hadn't said a word.
"Hah. Neither." Kaito scoffed internally.
He kept a serious expression, but in his mind, he was already preparing for battle.
There was no escaping this.
He quickly ford hand seals, trying to hide the nature of his chakra. Letting Obito discover his Lightning Release bloodline limit would be disastrous—more dangerous than even Danzo's discovery.
Electric chakra crackled between both palms. The air humd. The sound of birds chirping filled the space.
Lightning Release: Twin Chidori.
Without hesitation, Kaito vanished in a burst of speed, charging toward Obito.
"Familiar ninjutsu…" Obito muttered, a strange expression flickering across his masked face.
