The battle was about to erupt, and the eight shadows created by Shisui surrounded Uchiha Itachi and Orochimaru.
The extre speed of the body flicker technique made it a bit tricky for Itachi and Orochimaru.
However,
Itachi and Orochimaru were both among the top mbers of the Akatsuki, and a re body flicker technique wasn’t enough to defeat them. For a mont, the three were in a standoff.
"Amaterasu!"
During the fight, Itachi’s eyes widened, and flas erupted on one of the shadow clones.
However, the flas imdiately pierced through the clone’s body.
"Illusion?" Itachi murmured softly, then his eyes turned to another clone, activating Amaterasu once again.
Bang~~
Where the black flas passed, one of Shisui’s clones was burned to nothing.
Imdiately, both Orochimaru and Itachi let out a sigh of relief. Fortunately, Amaterasu could silently appear on a clone, giving Shisui no chance to escape.
If it were the real body, there might have been a way to handle it, but the clone was simply too fragile.
"Is this one of Itachi’s Mangekyō abilities? It’s definitely unique!" Shisui looked at the black flas burning on the ground, his eyes filled with surprise.
Though he knew that each Uchiha had a different ability after awakening the Mangekyō, these black flas were indeed special.
They could silently appear and then burn.
At that mont of surprise, Shisui realized that a pair of eyes had landed on his real body. He quickly swapped places with a clone.
In that instant, black flas ignited around the clone.
That was close. That was really close.
Fortunately, this black fla wasn’t like Genya’s, which was like a parasite. If it had been, this black fla would have been an extrely broken existence.
Bang, bang, bang~~
The battle continued, and Itachi started using Amaterasu repeatedly.
Shisui grew more cautious, constantly aware of Itachi’s gaze. As soon as a clone or his real body was targeted, he would quickly use the Body Flicker Technique.
This added a lot of pressure to Shisui.
After a cup of tea, all three of Shisui’s shadow clones were burned to nothing by Amaterasu. Only three illusions and his real body remained.
However, Orochimaru and Itachi were not in a much better state.
Orochimaru had already used the Eight-headed Serpent Technique to resurrect once and was feeling weak.
Itachi had several injuries, and because of his repeated use of Amaterasu, blood tears were now flowing from his eyes.
"Shisui, haven’t you fought enough?" Uchiha Itachi stared at the masked Shisui, his voice low as he said, "Let’s talk."
If there was any doubt about the identity of the masked figure before, after this fight, Itachi was more certain than ever that it was Shisui. His fighting style and even the smallest details matched Shisui perfectly.
At this mont, Itachi was completely sure. The person in front of him was Shisui.
"When you made the decision to annihilate the clan, there was nothing left to talk about!" Shisui locked eyes with Itachi. At the sa ti, he swung his short sword toward Itachi’s neck again.
Clang~~
Blocked.
Itachi could only block for now, but it was obvious his hand was trembling.
Had Shisui really not forgiven him?
"Shisui? Uchiha Shisui?" Orochimaru looked at Shisui, surprised.
Shisui’s Body Flicker Technique had been heard of by Orochimaru long ago. But just a few days ago, he had heard that Uchiha Shisui had jumped off a cliff to his death. Now, it seed that wasn’t accurate. Shisui hadn’t died.
"You need to hear my explanation. I had no choice in that matter. Didn’t you also make a choice back then?" Uchiha Itachi glared at Shisui, his voice harsh. "You jumped off the cliff and left the choice to !"
Itachi saw that Shisui was only getting angrier, venting the resentnt he had built up over the years. He had suppressed it all for so long.
Perhaps before, he could have controlled it, but after realizing the person in front of him was Shisui, he couldn’t hold back his desire to speak anymore.
Even his attacks were fiercer now.
"Shisui."
In the end, Itachi Uchiha’s Mangekyō began spinning at its limits, and the powerful ntal energy started to spread.
"Illusion... so strong?" Shisui thought about activating his own Mangekyō to resist, but this ti, it seed like Itachi was fully utilizing Tsukuyomi. His own spirit began to be pulled apart.
Eventually, his ntal energy entered a strange space!
Shisui and Itachi stood opposite each other as spiritual beings, silent for a mont.
"Shisui... I know you have the ability to break free from illusions, but let’s talk," Itachi said, his tone tinged with lancholy.
A question echoed in his mind. Had he really made a mistake?
For the sake of Konoha, he had lost his family, his parents, and even his best friend had turned cold toward him, even wanting to kill him.
"What else is there to talk about?" Uchiha Shisui slowly removed the mask in his ntal world and stared directly at Itachi.
"Originally, I wanted to ask you why you decided to wipe out the clan, why you did such a thing... but does it matter anymore?"
In fact, when Shisui had watched the battle between Hashirama and Kisa earlier, he had impulsively wanted to confront Itachi about his decision, but now, he had no desire for questions.

He hoped that Shisui could understand him.

"If it truly ca to the point of annihilating the clan, you... the clan leader could have led the clan mbers out of Konoha and preserved the clan’s bloodline. Instead of destroying your own people for the sake of the village!"
"Itachi, you made the wrong choice, and so did the forr clan leader."
