When Hikari heard Genya's decision, a hint of hesitation flickered in her clear eyes.
She cautiously looked at Genya and asked, "Whose cells are we using for research? A replication?"
While they had made so progress with cell-based dicine, Wood Release cells were far too dangerous.
Lately, she had learned about Konoha's past experints with the First Hokage's Wood Release cells. Those who failed to rge with them would turn into wood and die.
It was even riskier than Uzumaki cells.
Unless absolutely necessary, Hikari didn't want Genya to take that risk.
So, after a brief hesitation, she carefully asked,
"We'll start by using my own cells for replication and research," Genya said casually. He was already strong enough, and his body's chakra capacity was still increasing.
If he successfully rged with Wood Release, he would reach an entirely new level!

"But..." Hikari hesitated. The sample size was too small, and there were too many people in Konoha used for experints.
"There's no 'but.' You can take your ti studying it. No need to worry so much," Genya interrupted Hikari again, speaking softly to reassure him. "I believe in your abilities, Hikari!"
Even though he was injecting Wood Release cells, Genya was confident in his abilities.
Even if there were risks, his cells could reject the Wood Release cells. And if they couldn't, he could always amputate his arm!
But still, Genya was sure of himself.
"I understand!" Hikari nodded seriously, though in her heart, she was determined to find the most compatible Wood Release cells for Genya. She wouldn't let Genya be in danger.
"That's my good Hikari!" Genya nodded. "Let's go, I will treat you to so ran!"
After saying that, Genya grabbed Hikari and they were about to leave.
However, before they could reach the basent, a spatial fluctuation occurred, and Shisui's figure appeared in front of them.

Genya looked at the sudden appearance of Shisui, and a satisfied smile appeared on his face as he nodded.

"No." Genya shook his head. "He should be hiding by now, but I don't know where."
Genya had no ti to focus on Uchiha Itachi right now. After all, strengthening his own abilities was the priority. Once his power reached a certain level, no one would be able to stop him from doing anything.
"No news?" Shisui hesitated. "Do you know why he destroyed the clan?"
"No idea!" Genya shook his head again, but this ti his expression darkened. "You'll have to find Itachi yourself when you're recovered and ask him. He won't tell anything."
With that said, Genya didn't waste any more ti and walked out, taking Hikari with him. He didn't bother talking to Shisui any further.
This was Shisui's motivation to recover. Even if he had a rough idea, Genya wouldn't fully explain it to him.
This motivation kept Shisui working hard to heal. Genya even believed that the speed at which Shisui's eyes were rging had a lot to do with Shisui's willpower.
Once they left the underground lab, Genya took Hikari to enjoy a hearty al of several large bowls of luxury ran. Afterward, they happily prepared to head ho.
Now, the sky had already darkened.
As the two walked along the road, a dark figure suddenly blocked their path.
Genya furrowed his brows for a mont. When he saw it was Kakashi, his expression relaxed.
This ti, it was only Kakashi around. It seed like Kakashi had sothing he wanted to know, which is why he couldn't wait to seek him out.
Otherwise, given Kakashi's cautious nature, he wouldn't have intercepted him inside the village.
"You?" Hikari instantly beca alert, her eyes fixed on Kakashi, afraid he might make a move on Genya.
She had fought Kakashi before. Last ti, she had let her guard down. If they fought again, she would win.
"Hikari, step back!" Genya motioned for Hikari to retreat. His gaze turned to Kakashi as he asked, "Kakashi, what brings you here?"
The mont Genya saw Kakashi, he had already guessed his intention. It was likely connected to Senju Hayashi. The reason he asked now was to see how much Kakashi knew. No, rather, how much Hiruzen Sarutobi knew.
"Genya, the Wood Release ninja that's been spreading across the Shinobi world these past few days—the wood ox—should be Senju Hayashi, right?" Kakashi asked, his eyes locked onto Genya as he spoke slowly, as though trying to see through any lies.
But as Kakashi stared into Genya's deep eyes, he couldn't discern any hidden aning.
Genya gave a confident nod. "That's right, it should be Hayashi."
"Is it really Senju Hayashi?" Kakashi's eyes tightened at Genya's confirmation, and he continued pressing, "Damn it, what kind of mission did you assign him? Don't you realize the potential danger? The influence of a Wood Release ninja in the Shinobi world could get Hayashi into trouble!"
"All ninjas in the world will target Hayashi. No ninja can resist the temptation of Wood Release!"
Kakashi's words were sharp, his concern for Hashirama obvious.
"Get Hayashi into trouble? That's not sothing you need to worry about!" Genya smiled faintly as he listened to Kakashi. His Dual Pupils looked at him calmly as he asked, "But, you're not here to question about Hayashi, are you?"
