Outside the cabin.

In the distance—

Within the forest.

The masked man stood upon a tree branch, arms folded. His eye peered through the hollow of his mask, watching the cabin intently as he sighed:

"Konoha's shinobi finally show a bit of backbone. Otherwise, they wouldn't even be qualified to serve as pawns.

Very well—let them test the waters for .

Let's see what cards Uchiha Yu still has up his sleeve, with only twenty to thirty percent of his Mangekyō chakra left.

Though I must say, this chanting is truly unbearable."

---

In front of the cabin, torches had been planted in the open space.

Under the night sky—

The torchlight was dim.

Nono crouched low to the ground, channeling dical ninjutsu chakra to heal Tamao's many wounds.

Compared to that doctor, Nono perford the treatnt under the disruptive influence of the Buddhist chanting, without even needing to remove the bandages.

Nearby stood Izumi and Mikoto.

The other Uchiha were not present.

Uchiha Yu had suddenly ordered a return to the area, but no one knew why at first.

Now they understood.

Yu had co back to guard this female dical-nin. But as luck would have it, they ran right into a Konoha pursuit team.

That kind of encounter ignited the Uchiha's fighting spirit. Without needing Yu to give the order, they had already decided to annihilate the pursuing Konoha squad.

"This level of Wind Release… there are very few in the shinobi world capable of it."

Nono's beautiful eyes focused on Tamao's wounds, stunned by the intensity of the jutsu that caused them.

And equally stunned by how Tamao8 had endured such prolonged Wind Release damage in silence.

"How long will it take to heal him?" asked Uchiha Minami anxiously.

Izumi and Mikoto glanced at the monks on the roof, then at Yu standing alone inside the wooden house.

For so reason, the solemn chanting stirred sothing within them. Their thoughts grew restless, their minds tugged by unseen threads.

"These full-body Wind injuries… even for , the fastest would be half an hour. Healing them in ten minutes? Only the legendary Lady Tsunade could do that," said Nono, sweat dripping from her brow as she continued pouring chakra into the healing.

Originally, her task was to ambush soone here—so she'd needed to conserve her energy.

But now, Nonoyu understood: this was the Uchiha clan from Konoha's elite bloodlines. If she didn't help, she'd be in just as much trouble either way.

Besides—

That young Uchiha in the lead had promised her sothing. Sothing worth gambling on. A peaceful resolution.

And the person she was supposed to kill? These Uchiha could handle that for her later.

It was a win-win.

As for why she hadn't sided with the Konoha pursuit squad—her first impression of them had sparked a natural sense of resistance and distrust.

Not far away, Kurenai Yuhi stared at the events unfolding in and around the cabin, her heart pounding, fists clenched.

If Yu were to be defeated, she would not hesitate to act—to help him escape at all costs.

As for what would happen afterward—

Kurenai hadn't thought that far ahead. She dared not. She feared her resolve would waver.

---

Inside the cabin.

"ROAR—"

Like a monstrous Cerberus from hell, the three-headed wolf let out an earthshaking howl. Its claws slamd into the ground, shattering the floor into splinters.

Its powerful limbs surged with force as it opened three massive blood-soaked maws and lunged at Yu with deadly intent.

Yu's Mangekyō eyes locked onto the trajectory of the beast's attack in advance. With lightning speed, he darted to Jaeger's side, lifted him up, and leapt backward.

He narrowly dodged the attack.

Yu then hurled the still-stunned Yega through a side window, leaving himself alone to face Asuma and the other three.

At that sa mont—

All around the wooden house—

Six black-cloaked figures burst into the air, their eyes glowing with the red triple tomoe of the Sharingan. Twisting midair, they raised their blades and slashed downward—aid directly at the monks chanting on the rooftop.

They were Uchiha—hidden reinforcents.

As the cold glint of their blades swept downward—

The chanting did not stop.

At the center of the rooftop, the head monk of the Temple of Fire, the imposing and stern-faced Jiriku, stood up. With thick eyebrows and an angry gaze, he raised one hand while lowering the other, and chanted in a low, resonant voice:

"Welcoming Descent: Thousand-Ard Slaughter!"

In the blink of an eye, Jiriku's chakra surged violently, transforming into radiant golden light that enveloped the surrounding monks, coalescing into a colossal image of a serene, rciful Bodhisattva—hands pressed together in prayer.

Suddenly, the sky bathed in shimring golden light, the whole world appearing sacred and pure.

And in the next mont—

Before the Uchiha's blades could even reach the monks, the Bodhisattva image twisted sideways, unleashing a flurry of arms—dozens, hundreds—each forming a tight fist and striking at the Uchiha.

To the Sharingan's eyes, these fists of golden light ca in a dense barrage, too many to dodge—even their advanced perception couldn't find a path of escape.

Boom boom boom—

The divine fists struck like a storm, crashing down with muffled explosions. In an instant, each of the six Uchiha were hit by a hundred punches, falling like broken kites to the ground below.

"Puh—"

One of the Uchiha crashed to the ground, one hand gripping his blade stabbed into the earth, the other clutching his chest as he coughed up blood. He endured the pain and looked toward his comrades.

The others were also seriously injured.

All six bore countless fist imprints on their bodies—sunken flesh where they'd been struck, skin split open, and blood soaking through their clothing.

Jiriku descended from the rooftop.

"Amitābha—dear benefactors, lay down your blades, and we shall help guide your souls after death."

He stood before the wounded Uchiha, chanting the Buddha's na. His expression, calm yet authoritative, showed no rcy—he clearly had no intention of sparing these so-called rogue ninja remnants.

The Buddhist chanting ceased.

Silence returned to the night sky.

The remaining monks leapt down from the rooftop one by one, forming a line behind Jiriku. Heads bowed, palms pressed together in prayer.

None but Jiriku dared et the Uchiha's eyes. The monks stared cautiously at the ground, slowly advancing toward the wounded shinobi.

The six Uchiha, now facing a true threat, realized they had grossly underestimated the reinforcents aiding the Konoha pursuit squad.

As the chanting faded—

Everyone's minds began to clear. Just as Nono, Izumi, Minami, Mikoto, and Kurenai Yuhi were about to breathe a sigh of relief—

The thundering chant burst forth once more, reverberating across the mountain stronghold. The sound was deafening, like a great bell tolling, echoing across the heavens—intent on purifying every trace of sin in this world.

Everyone looked around in alarm.

From the shadowy depths of the forest—

Countless monks erged, heads bowed in prayer. All wore the black and white robes of the Fire Temple, the sa scar-marks etched atop their bald heads.

Their number totaled one hundred and seventy.

The sound of chanting poured from their lips like a surging river, endless and overwhelming.

Within their voices was chakra—chakra that disrupted the mind. Amplified by the sheer number of voices, the chanting struck outsiders like a demonic cacophony, piercing through eardrums and warping thought.

"This... this is the entire Fire Temple!" Izumi cried out, her eyes wide as she looked around at the encircling monks. Clutching her ears, she shouted to be heard.

Mikoto's face turned ghostly pale. Her head throbbed violently. The piercing chant drilled into her skull, and for a mont, the overwhelming urge to bury her head in the dirt consud her.

Under the onslaught of mind-shattering sound—

"Ahh! Soone please shut them up!"

Nono could no longer focus enough to release dical ninjutsu. Gentle and kind as she was, even she wanted to shove dirt into every chanting monk's mouth!

Kurenai Yuhi, along with the mother and child beside her, also suffered under the relentless sonic assault. Their heads spun, bodies weakened, and they grimaced in pain.

"Bald freaks!!"

Tamao groaned, mouth open in agony, trying to drown out the demonic chanting with his own shout—but his voice was swallowed whole by the noise.

He swore that if he could move, he'd personally make those monks taste the insoles of his filthy, months-unwashed shinobi shoes.

Despair crept into the hearts of the Uchiha.

The enemy numbers were simply overwhelming. The monks of the Fire Temple were renowned throughout the shinobi world—not inferior to ninja in combat ability. Their leader, Jiriku, was without a doubt a high-ranking jōnin.

With the entire Fire Temple mobilized, it seed tonight would be their grave.

Inside the wooden house.

The candlelight flickered coldly.

Asuma's lips curled into a faint smirk as he looked at Yu with indifference.

This was the true source of his confidence in daring to strike at this rogue Uchiha squad.

He and his three teammates stood unfazed, completely unaffected by the chanting.

They had synchronized with the reinforcents before arriving.

Each of them had received a sealing jutsu from Jiriku, rendering them immune to the effects of the Buddhist chant.

Click—

Jiriku stepped over the threshold into the cabin, his expression calm as he gazed at the handso young Uchiha before him.

"Amitābha."

A one versus five!

Uchiha Yu's face turned ashen. The constant interference of the Buddhist chant from outside the cabin tore at his mind, making it impossible for him to focus and fully unleash his remaining 30% of Yin Release chakra.

If he had been at full capacity, with all ten layers of Yin Release chakra—

The battle would have likely ended long ago.

He cald his thoughts, and the corner of his mouth curled into a faint smirk, using sheer will to resist the Buddhist chant that was fraying his nerves.

Yu flipped his right hand and retrieved a red pill the size of a longan fruit from his storage space. It glowed like a small fireball, and he swiftly swallowed it.

This was his final trump card!

It was also the secret that allowed him to easily annihilate the Uchiha Police Force before!

There had originally been three pills, but now only one remained.

In the distance, within the forest.

The masked man endured the sharp, ear-piercing chanting, his eyes widening as he clearly saw Yu swallow the pill. His eyes narrowed, and a conclusion ford in his mind:

"Is this your last trump card?"

Inside the wooden house.

Yu's skin burned as if afla, with orange-red cursed seal patterns spreading across his handso face, creating a strange and eerie effect.

His life force rapidly drained, converting into pure chakra energy.

His cells underwent frantic division and tabolism.

His ntal energy surged upward.

The Mangekyō Sharingan's Yin Release chakra slowly replenished until his state beca immune to the Buddhist chanting in his ears. His gaze grew calm and profound, filled with disdain for the five opponents before him.

The person who gave him the pill had warned him.

It was a pill created with painstaking effort by a certain individual, perfectly fusing the power of the cursed seal.

It could convert energy through the cursed seal, increasing the user's chakra strength, chakra recovery speed, ntal power, and physical strength by ten tis!

This state would last for ten minutes, with the only cost being life force.

There had been three pills in total.

Each pill consud would shorten his lifespan by one-third.

Once all three pills were consud, the user would be left with at most ten years of life.

Yu didn't care.

As long as he could escape from Konoha alive, the shinobi world had many ways to extend life.

Suddenly sensing sothing wrong—

"Roooar—"

The three-headed wolf ford by the fusion of Inuzuka Clan's jōnin and Yukimaru launched another assault.

Chakra surged.

It leaped forward, simultaneously opening its three massive jaws, each filled with sharp fangs, aiming to tear into Yu.

Yu didn't dodge. The cursed seal patterns on his skin disappeared, rging seamlessly with his body.

Gripping the hilt of his sword with one hand, he sheathed it with a swift motion, the blade's aura retracting. He closed his eyes, stepped forward, and crouched down.

Suddenly—

He drew his blade, focusing all his energy, reaching the peak of perfection!!

A moonlit flash of sword light, pure and bright like a beam of starlight, cut through the massive body of the three-headed wolf, slicing straight through its center. Its three gaping jaws froze in mid-air.

He only made one strike!!

Both the left and right wolf heads watched in horror as their bodies were perfectly severed down the middle. The cut was smooth, and their thoughts were forever lost to eternal darkness, their emotions forever frozen in fear.

Boom—

Blood mist exploded.
