Chapter 116: NASM: Chapter 116

Hiroshi looked down at his legs, sunk in the earth, and thought, "I didn’t expect this jutsu to be so effective. Amazing!"

"My stamina’s still at its peak, but his isn’t. I could eliminate him now, but let’s stall. It’s too suspicious otherwise," Hiroshi thought, glancing at the Chunin.

Hiroshi was trapped; Harumiko and the others couldn’t help. They were focused on their opponents; any distraction could an elimination.

"Good, Harumiko and the others are holding their own. They’re stronger than expected. If I take down this Chunin, we win. But I can’t escape. Should I take a punch or two?" Hiroshi wondered, observing his teammates.

This was Hiroshi’s first encounter with an Earth Release user in the Naruto world.

"No, I need to escape quickly. If this continues, I’ll be eliminated. If he doesn’t attack, he might go for my balloon. Then I’m eliminated even without a direct hit!"

Hiroshi feared his opponent circling behind him to pop his balloon. His legs were stuck fast in the mud.

"Perfect! He’s completely trapped! Let’s keep this up, fully restrain his legs, and his elimination is certain!" the Earth Release user exclaid, gleeful.

"What’s your plan? Trapping

like this? You really want to continue? This benefits neither of us. I don’t understand your plan," Hiroshi said.

The opponent scoffed. "You’ve got so nerve, still talking tough. I’ll show you your place."

Hiroshi smiled inwardly. This guy’s an idiot. He’s trapped

and still wants to intimidate . He values his reputation too much, Hiroshi thought.

As Hiroshi thought, the opponent had him trapped but hesitated to finish him. This delay might be his downfall; Hiroshi could easily turn the tables.
