'I need to escape. I need to do it now. He's going to kill .'
The Patriarch clenched his fists holding onto an escape amulet.
His only path to survival was escape. He just needed the right mont. But as the thought crossed his mind, Xiao Fang's voice sliced through the air like a death knell.
"I wonder, is this how you thought your life would end?" Xiao Fang asked, resembling a heartless death reaper, a bringer of death.
The Patriarch's jaw clenched and trembled, Xiao Fang was done feeling out his fangs and it was ti to eat.
"Why… why are you doing this…?" His voice was weak, disbelieving.
Xiao Fang wiped his blade clean, his expression indifferent. "Your sect is nothing more than a den of bandits and thieves. There is no place for scum like you in this world. Bla your bad luck that I found you."
The Patriarch's breath was ragged. "You think… you can just march into this place and do as you wish? Do you even know who we are? This sect was founded by mbers of the very place you're traveling to. When they find out what you did here, you'll be finished."
Xiao Fang smiled. "Then let them co. I'll do to them the sa as I'll do to you."
A cold light slid down his blade.
Feeling his cold sweat, the Patriarch no longer hesitated.
Crack!
The escape amulet shattered, flooding the air with an overwhelming surge of Qi. The Patriarch's body flickered, propelled like a cot toward the sky, towards a mountain where the JadePeak City was.
[ Reaper's Grasp ]
Xiao Fang returned one of his swords back into his spatial ring as he used [ Reaper's Grasp ] to grab the jade spear the Patriarch left behind.
Xiao Fang knew he only had one chance of this, so he didn't wait for him to get too far away.
Lightning spirit attribute Qi imdiately gave the spear a terrifying aura that even shocked Xiao Fang, but there was no ti to be surprised by it.
[ Javelin ]
BOOM!
Lightning roared like a vengeful deity.
The jade spear—now crackling with Xiao Fang's terrifying Lightning Spirit Qi—pierced the sky, leaving behind a streak of destruction.
Hearing the crackling lightning, the Patriarch barely had ti to turn his body around to see what Xiao Fang was doing—
CRACK!
The spear collided with his final defensive talisman. The protective layer of Qi shattered like brittle glass.
His eyes widened in sheer terror.
'Impossible!'
Then—
Squelch!
The spear tore through his chest and burst out of his back.
The force of the impact halted his escape completely, his body twisting unnaturally in midair. Blood rained down in thick droplets.
A hollow gasp escaped his lips as the last remnants of his Qi scattered into the wind.
His gaze flickered downward, finding Xiao Fang standing far below, watching him with that sa unreadable, rciless expression.
The Patriarch trembled.
This boy—this monster—had toyed with him.
He never stood a chance.
His mouth opened, as if to curse, to beg, to scream—
But no words ca out.
The weight of gravity took hold, and his body began to plumt, spiraling toward the burning wreckage of his own sect below.
His last sight was of Xiao Fang, standing beneath the blood-red moon, his blade still gleaming—waiting.
Then—
CRASH!
His lifeless corpse slamd into the sect's ruined temple, his body impaled upon the very altar he once used to judge others.
A fitting end.
Looking down, Xiao Fang cut his head off to confirm his death. This was nothing personal. It was simply the misfortune of crossing paths with a predator.
Imdiately after he did, he felt a trendous amount of Death Reaper Qi enter his body from the corpse. Unexpectedly, the Cannibal Abnormal Beast felt a sudden surge of growth as well after consuming the Patriarch's remains.
…
The battle was over.
Yet, sothing had changed.
His gaze lowered to his hands—one empty, one still holding a sword.
For years, his path had been defined by one sword. His life, his training, his very identity had revolved around mastering the blade. But tonight…
Tonight, he had fought with two.
And it felt—
Right.
His fingers curled around the hilt, testing the weight, the balance.
This feels natural…
A slow grin spread across his face.
A new path had opened.
Not as a lone sword…
But as a Twin Fang.
…
Xiao Fang made quick work of slaughtering all the remaining mbers of the sect. When he was finished, he revisited the bloodied man and his unconscious mother, and forced him to lead him to the sect's treasures.
Looting every mber and everything the sect had to offer, Xiao Fang amassed a small fortune.
As the Scavenger's Sect burned, Xiao Fang disappeared into the night—another naless shadow in the cruel cultivation world.

Xiao Fang didn't expect to kill half as many cultivators he needed in such a short period of ti, but considering it took the annihilation of an entire small sect, he didn't expect to be doing sothing like that anyti soon. The consequence of his action he knew he'd eventually feel, but since he was here, he was going to make the most of it.
Xiao Fang looted the sect of all its valuables, separating their values into 4 separate spatial bags: Low, mid, high, and items he couldn't determine the value of from looks alone.
