Attempting to bandage his wounds, Chu Piao dragged his feet into a small village, just trying to keep going for as long as he could.
"Grandfather, to bring to the brink of death at a ti like this," Chu Piao said, looking up at the sky.
His body was bleeding profusely from head to toe, he had just narrowly passed his grandfather's final test, but the only thing on his mind now was reaching the rendezvous point on ti.

The man did as he was told, and rushed to see the Elders.
"Young man, where are you going in such a hurry," an Elder asked.
Trying to catch his breath, the man said,
"Our Physician, he told to report to the Elders that a demon slayer has arrived in our village."
"A demon slayer?" the Elder repeated. Then, realizing what he ant, he grabbed the man by the collar and dragged him into the Hall of Elders to make the report.
The man wasn't a cultivator, so he was shocked by the Elder's ability to carry him and move at speeds far beyond anything he could imagine.
"Elder Yong, what is the aning of this," another Elder asked, seeing them enter the hall unannounced.
"This man has sothing to report. Go on, speak."
The man was frightened to be around so many cultivators who were all a realm or 2 higher than the physician he knew back in his village.
"In my village, a strange man has collapsed. Our physician is certain that this man is a Demon Slayer," the villager reported.
"What is a Demon Slayer?" one of the younger looking Elder asked.
"That's what the common folks here call Divine Swordsn," another Elder explained. "They believe the Chaos Sect in the north is a land of pure evil, full of demons, and that the Divine Swordsn in the east have pledged their lives to wage war against them for thousands of years. To them, demon slayers are akin to gods and protectors. But that is far from the truth—both sides are demons. We would be wise not to get entangled with either."
"This… Demon Slayer… is he in your village right now?" an Elder asked.
"Yes. He seed to be on the brink of death, but our physician is doing what he can to save his life."
"Save his life? Laughable. As long as he's still breathing, he will recover on his own," another Elder scoffed.
"What should we do," the man asked.
"Leave him. We have no business with a Divine Swordsman here. This is the land of QiGon—we answer only to the Black Paradise Sect. If we're caught aiding a Divine Swordsman, it will an our doom. Remove that demon slayer from your village."
Seeing the fury in the Elder's eyes, the man shrank away quietly, bowing his head. But before he could leave the hall, another voice spoke:
"If I may, may I see this man?"
This Elder's na was Liang Shen, he was an honored guest, and an Elder of the Qingxiao Sect, which was one of the largest sects in the region. He often made visits to discuss business, but also because he grew up as a village kid, but he never imagined to encounter an opportunity like this.
"Ah, but don't you think it might be dangerous?" another Elder asked.
Liang Shen released his Qi, allowing it to fill the room to let everyone know just how high his cultivation realm really was. This man was a peak Profound realm Cultivator, on the verge of breaking through to the Divine realm. Truly far beyond what anyone in that room had ever felt.
"Young man, can you take to him?" Liang Shen asked.
"Y-y-y-yes," the man stuttered, trembling on his hands and knees.
"Lead the way."
The man did as he was told, and Liang Shen followed close behind him, along with every other Elder in that hall.
However, contrary to what any of them were expecting, the mont they all saw Chu Piao, Liang Shen imdiately used a powerful binding technique to restrain Chu Piao till he looked like a mummy.
"What is the aning of this?" One Elder questioned Liang Shen's actions.
"This man is indeed a Divine Sword Swordsman, so I'll be taking him back to my sect to interrogate him as to why he had appeared in this village," Liang Shen replied.
"He is injured, why must you bind him so tightly?" the physician complained.
"Because the mont I laid eyes on him, I beca certain of one thing."
"What did you beco certain of?" the physician asked.
Suddenly, Liang Shen once again released the full strength of his cultivation realms so that his next words could be understood more clearly.
"I beca certain that even in his condition, if he were to regain consciousness and decide to massacre this village, even I would be powerless to stop him."
