"Huh!" Ye Yang looked at the Grand Elder, a hint of confusion in his eyes.
Grand Elder Ye Tianxing chuckled, a warm smile spreading across his face. "Don't overthink it, my boy. You can have your talks with them this evening. But for now, there's a small task I'd like you to handle."
Ye Yang nodded, his curiosity piqued. "What do you need to do, Grand Elder?"
Ye Tianxing reached into the pocket of his robes and pulled out a sealed letter. "I want you to deliver this to the escort agency leader. You have a good relationship with him, so it will be easier for you. This letter contains the final list we've prepared. Tell him to get everything ready according to this."
As he handed over the letter, the Grand Elder seed to recall sothing else. "Oh, your father might have ntioned you being part of the escort guards, but now that I think about it, it's not strictly necessary. If you don't wish to, you can step down."
Ye Yang, however, shook his head firmly. "No, I'm okay with it. Besides, I might learn new things from the experience."
A subtle, knowing look passed over the Grand Elder's face, though Ye Yang didn't catch it. 'You'll really learn sothing you shouldn't,' he thought to himself, a silent chuckle escaping him.
With the letter in hand, Ye Yang made his way out of the clan grounds and into the bustling streets of the city.
The morning sun was climbing higher, casting long shadows and illuminating the vibrant marketplace.
The air was filled with the familiar scent of spices, freshly baked bread, and the murmur of countless conversations. It was a stark contrast to the desolate, energy-scarred world he had just left. The thought of the horned man, disintegrating into motes of light, still lingered in the back of his mind.
He soon arrived at the Escort Agency, and entered the room of Barad. "Oh, nephew Yang, how are you." Barad asked. They hadn't seen each other for a week since the incident of training Head.
The news of the Training Head's death had indeed spread quickly throughout the world, a chilling confirmation of demons possessing humans. While the Ye family was conducting a thorough investigation, nothing conclusive had erged so far.
"I'm doing well, Uncle Barad," Ye Yang replied, a polite smile on his face. He glanced around the office, noticing the familiar maps and weapon racks. "I was actually wondering where Aunt Ya might be."
Barad, a man with a kind face and a hearty laugh, settled back in his chair. "Ah, Aunt Ya? She's likely still in her bath. You know how she is, always enjoying a good soak after her morning exercises."
He then noticed the crisp, sealed letter in Ye Yang's hand. "And what's that you're holding there, nephew Yang? Looks important."
Ye Yang nodded, stepping forward to hand him the letter. "It is. The Grand Elder sent . He wanted to deliver this to you. It contains the final list for the upcoming escort mission, along with so instructions."
Barad took the letter, his brow furrowing slightly as he recognized the Grand Elder's seal. "Oh, a direct delivery from the Grand Elder, no less. Very well, let's see what important matters he has for this ti."
He broke the seal and began to read, his eyes scanning the contents intently. A mont later, he looked up, a knowing smile on his face. "So, you're still on the list, I see. Thought you might have backed out after all the ruckus lately."
"No, Uncle," Ye Yang replied, his voice firm. "If Father has given the task, then I'll complete it." He knew this "mission" wasn't a typical escort.
Like other major clans, the Ye Clan was preparing for the royal banquet at the capital. The banquet's purpose was twofold: to officially welco the Tatanka Clan and to discuss the upcoming secret realm expedition.
With his duty done, Ye Yang bid Barad goodbye and left the agency.
anwhile,
Dan Ya continued to indulge in her bath, the warm water a comforting embrace. Her hand moved languidly over her skin, a slow, sensual caress.
Unknown to her, a pair of eyes peered through a tiny crack in the wall, then another from a small vent near the ceiling. Two guards, Jian and Rong, were transfixed. They had often seen her bathing, her lithe form a captivating sight, but this... this was different. This raw, intimate display of self-pleasure sent a jolt through them.
"Did you see that?" Jian whispered, his voice hoarse with a mixture of shock and arousal. He nudged Rong with his elbow.
Rong, his face flushed, could only nod, his breath hitched. "By the gods... I never imagined..."
"Escort Head Barad must not be satisfying her, huh?" Jian mused, a cruel smirk twisting his lips. "Imagine having a woman like that and not being able to keep her happy."
"He's probably too stupid for ignoring her anyway," Rong chuckled, a nervous, breathless sound. "She deserves better. Look at her, she's practically begging for it."
They watched, captivated, as Dan Ya continued, her movents unhurried and deliberate. Each touch, each sigh, was amplified in their minds, fuelling their illicit gaze. Their whispers continued, laced with increasingly bolder conjectures about her desires and Barad's perceived inadequacies.
anwhile, at the Ye Clan's sprawling estate, inside the clan eting room, an entirely different kind of power play was unfolding.
The heavy wooden doors, usually a symbol of serious deliberation, were firmly shut. Within, three figures were present. the formidable Clan Head, Ye Wanshu, the stern First Elder, Eva Angle, and Ye Yang's mother, Yu i.
But this was no ordinary clan eting. Both Eva Angle and Yu i were on their knees before the Clan Head, their robes slightly dishevelled.
Ye Wanshu, a man of imposing presence, sat at the head of the long table, a smug smile playing on his lips. His hands moved with deliberate slowness, tracing lines along Yu i's back, then moving to Eva Angle's hair, twirling a dark strand around his finger.
"Such diligence," Ye Wanshu purred, his voice a low rumble that filled the room. "Both of you. Always so dedicated to the clan." He leaned back, his eyes glinting with satisfaction. "And to your Clan Head, of course."
"Slurp"
"Slurp"
First Elder Eva Angel spoke, "We are doing our duty as the mbers of the Ye Clan and for the prosperity of our clan."
Ye Wanshu chuckled, a deep, resonant sound. "Indeed. And sotis, prosperity requires... certain sacrifices. Certain dedications, wouldn't you agree?"
His hand moved from Yu i to gently cup Eva Angle's chin, lifting her gaze to et his. Her eyes, usually sharp and calculating, now held a flicker of sothing akin to submission, or perhaps, resignation.
"The banquet will be a crucial event," Ye Wanshu continued, his tone shifting slightly, though his hands remained. "The Tatanka Clan is powerful, and the secret realm expedition will shape the future of many clans. We need to present a united front, a strong front." He paused, his gaze sweeping over both won. "And a loyal front."
He lowered his hand from Eva Angle, letting it trail down her arm. "Your dedication to the clan's unity is... comndable." He then turned his attention back to Yu i, a more playful glint in his eye. "And Yu i, my dear, your efforts will be rember. I hope you won't show disloyalty when our clan need more sacrifice from you."
Yu i's body shivered but she can only nod while her mouth was busy sucking Clan Head Ye Wanshu's dragon.
The air in the room was thick with unspoken dynamics, a silent agreent of power and submission that transcended re words. The political machinations of the clan ran far deeper than what was discussed in public etings, extending into the most intimate corners of its power structure.
