462: Chapter 207: Acheron, Hexahedron, Slaying_3 462: Chapter 207: Acheron, Hexahedron, Slaying_3 One can only say that the infernal wind of Hell is genuine; pick any Devil at random and they have, beneath the surface, a hundred sly intentions.

Even the Blood Tyrant, known for his brute strength, has a Familiar, Marius, who, just like him, appears brainless but is actually full of cunning tricks.

“Hahahaha————”

Marius couldn’t help but burst into loud laughter as he sealed the Death Knight, completing his master’s task.

Crack!

Marius’s laughter ca to an abrupt halt as he realized that the Hexahedron in his hand had cracked open, with strands of Deathly essence seeping out.

His scalp tingled with unease, and he quickly threw the Hexahedron away.

The Hexahedron hit the ground and exploded, the howling Deathly essence ferociously bursting forth, grey tentacles wildly writhing, twisting the space along with them.

In the center of the grey mist, Marius’s vision flickered, as if he saw a colossal demonic eye.

But by the ti he had a clear look, the demonic eye had vanished, and a surge of Deathly essence struck him, flipping him over on the spot and smashing him dozens of ters away.

Gravestones toppled one after another, the knocking sounds awakening the slumbering masters, who climbed out of their coffins, opening their mouths in soundless accusation.

The blood crystals on Marius’s body flaked off as he exuded the Deathly essence bit by bit.

His bony body regenerated muscle and scales as he watched an Undead Warhorse leap out from the portal, aghast.

“This is impossible!”

Marius, wide-eyed with terror, for the first ti on earth, sniffed the scent of Death.

He rembered clearly, when the Monarch gave him the Hexahedron, he said without power on the Monarch’s level, escaping the seal was impossible.

In other words, the Death Knight he was battling possessed power on par with his master’s.

There was actually another way to escape the Hexahedron’s barrier, which Marius used to leave.

The barrier only detained enemies, not allies; using the blood faith, one could free oneself.

The truth was right before his eyes, but situated in a blind spot of his vision.

Despite racking his brains, Marius could only think of disjointed thoughts: the enemy is too powerful, unbeatable, an intelligence failure.

“I thought it was a Crocodile Man, but it turned out to be a Lizard Man.”

Wayne, riding the Undead Warhorse, muttered to himself about the bad on.

If not for his proficiency in several foreign languages, he might have been trapped just now.

His escape from the Hexahedron had nothing to do with the blood faith but was entirely thanks to the power of the Seven Deadly Sins lody.

Using the power of Hell against Hell itself, he had tried and indeed had co out.

Marius had no desire to combat further, flexed his arms, roared, and turned to flee.

His streamlined body was exceedingly fast, and in the blink of an eye, he was a hundred ters away.

However, the Undead Warhorse ca with its own portal, and no matter how fast one ran, it wasn’t as quick as opening a portal.

Wayne, sword in hand, intercepted Marius.

The Shadowmare sliced through the waning moon’s glow, severing another of his arms.

Marius’s fear intensified, and he cried out for help, yelling the nas Gunther and Juliet.

In an instant, Wayne’s urge to kill surged.

His long sword plunged into Marius’s chest, eight grey Deathly Tentacles entwined, eroding Marius’s thoughts.

The Book of Greed hastily reminded him to spare the Devil below his blade, for there was still sothing uneaten.

Wayne reined in the Deathly essence as his skeletal jaws gaped wide, spraying a white foam onto Marius’s head.

The white foam burrowed into flesh upon contact and took root upon finding bone, chasing after Marius’s thoughts with irritatingly persistent whispers.

Marius didn’t understand the whispers, only found them incredibly noisy!

Realizing that his own thoughts were being corrupted, he resisted madly.

At the sa ti, his life force was collapsing under the assault of Deathly essence, his thoughts being erased by Death itself.

Caught in the pincer attack, Marius suffered imnsely for a full ten minutes.

Marius’s mind had exhausted, his flesh had decayed, but his bones were preserved by Wayne, who instructed the Skeleton Soldiers to carry them into the coffin for the cultivation of elite troops.

Wayne sent a telepathic command, directing Ah Bin and Ah Bo to leave.

At the end of the sewer, Wayne saw off Shadowmare, standing disheveled in his spot.

There was a lipstick mark on his collar.

The High Priest had left it, her possessiveness extraordinarily intense.

Twenty years late, her outburst had nearly drowned Wayne.

On the ground, white foam extended four tentacles, stepping over to Wayne’s feet and drilling into his skin.

Wayne frowned as he sensed it, the scant faith of blood, for Marius’s thoughts had been dissipated by the essence of death, leaving paltry remains.

He felt the new craving of The Book of Greed, clenched his right fist, and swung it through the air.

With a crackling explosion, misty air blasted open, a wall of wind rolling over the sewer’s wall, peeling off great swathes of dust and debris.

An enigmatic flavor that seed to strengthen his power, yet it wasn’t reflected in The Book of Greed—the sa number of small eyeballs remained as before.

The Book of Greed, all mouth with a gluttonous appetite, could eat but not speak.

Wayne, curious about the cause of the enhancent, without an instruction manual, had to let it go.

There were also two Familiars to try consuming—at tis like these, a few extra servings could add to his experience.

“Master!”

Mona arrived at the end of the sewer, shaking her head slightly to Wayne.

She had received a telepathic transmission and, following Wayne’s instructions, had waited montarily in the Grand Cetery, but did not spot any Devil.

“Guyin and Juliet—after interrogating Marius’s mind, there are two other Devils, accurately speaking, Familiars, they are in Lundan.

Have Gunther investigate, see if he can find these two nas,” Wayne commanded.

Mona nodded, accepting the order.

Seeing the lipstick mark on Wayne’s collar, she learned a new skill and decided to try it out another day.

“Wait a second…”

Wayne raised his hand to halt: “The three Familiars ca for the Death Knight, don’t ntion my existence, just say you and I were rely passing by the Grand Cetery and happened to witness this scene.”

“Master, the Archbishop will be curious about why we were passing by the Grand Cetery so late at night.”

“Just say we were on a date, I like the night and the outdoors.”

“…”

Mona nodded seriously, albeit sothing felt off, but if her angelic master was willing to tarnish his own na to combat the Devil, there was even less for her to fuss about.

“Also, have Gunther contact the Magic Departnt…”

Mid-sentence, Wayne shook his head: “Never mind, I shall handle this matter.

Let Gunther keep a low profile, conduct a covert investigation as if he knows nothing.”

“Master, are you not going to the Cathedral with ?”

“No, those two Devils are adept at concealing themselves, the Cathedral is too ostentatious, I’d rather not expose myself.”

Wayne thought to himself how troubleso, if a Devil could dispatch a Familiar once, they could do it a second ti; he wasn’t concerned for himself, but feared that Lundan wouldn’t hold up.

Wouldn’t withstand the temptation of the Devil!
