Magic Departnt, Headquarters.
Two figures with wings approached and landed outside the barrier after folding their wings.
Gunther used Polarizing Magic, concealing his tracks along the way, and in accordance with the agreent signed between The Church and the Royal Family, refrained from seizing the opportunity to spread a bit of his father’s glory.
Knowing what mattered more, he was a clever man and had his own calculations.
‘Renata’ retracted her wings and looked ahead, outside the barrier, where a figure had arrived first, silently studying how to penetrate the barrier’s defenses.
Golden short hair, a Lady’s butler suit, and a face with delicate features that bore no smile.
gan!
When Austin received the call from Wayne, Gunther and Renata had already set out from St.
Paul Cathedral, moving swiftly on wings, but gan had reached the Magic Departnt Headquarters before them.
“Ma’am, are you with the Magic Departnt?”
Gunther politely inquired, expressing his good intentions to help.
gan nodded and stated directly, “Soone has projected the Skeleton Forbidden Zone; the Magical Departnt Headquarters is trapped in the exiled land.
Those inside can’t get out, and those outside can’t get in.”
“Is there a way to get inside?”
Renata’s expression remained unchanged, for angels carry this deanor — haughty and difficult to communicate with due to their poor temperant.
Gunther had heard of the Skeleton Forbidden Zone, The Forgotten Great Prison of legend, the prison gates were set in Red Leaf Forest Asylum, guarded personally by a Legendary Mage.
Once, the Red Leaf Forest Asylum belonged to The Church, the notorious Heretical Tribunal.
It was The Church that decided who was sane or insane.
Not anymore, for The Church’s power in Windsor had been castrated.
The Asylum changed hands and although The Church’s clergy were allowed to take up posts, it was a form of checks and balances, and mbers of other churches could also enter the Asylum to secure positions.
Everybody had a share, and the real power was concentrated in the hands of the Dean.
Hearing gan’s explanation, Gunther couldn’t help but suspect the identity of the mastermind behind the scenes: Asylum Director Prank.
He knew the Forgotten Great Prison best and was the only one capable of sealing the Magic Departnt without anyone noticing.
Brilliant, the Magic Departnt is going to have a fight!
Best if they all die; the Pope would love that!
Gunther felt a secret joy inside.
Not only would the Pope love it, but he himself was thrilled, yet outwardly he appeared concerned, expressing his care for the Magic Departnt.
Windsor can’t be without the Magic Departnt, just as The Church can’t be without faith.
gan ignored him.
She had known Austin for a long ti and understood Gunther’s true intentions.
She addressed the supposedly divine Renata, “There is a way in, but I need your help.”
Renata, disregarding the desperate signs from Gunther, had descended only to drive out the Devil, and was willing to co-operate with gan.
Why agree so quickly?
Hang on a bit longer!
Even five minutes would do!
Gunther felt helpless and could empathize with the Pope’s inner tornt.
This was how wild angels were, utterly disregarding The Church’s interests on Earth.
He hoped that Mona would act quickly.
Once The Church had its own dosticated angels, only then could they speak boldly.
The two ‘won’ directly ignored Gunther, huddling together to discuss their strategy, mainly gan talking and Renata listening.
Though it was their first eting, they surprisingly worked well together.
“No matter which Grey Space is projected, it requires a colossal level of energy.
The Skeleton Forbidden Zone is no exception…”
gan explained calmly.
Her plan was simple and rough; she would find the energy core and destroy it to prevent the caster from having alternative energy sources, hoping Renata would deliver a heavy blow to the spatial barrier the instant she destroyed the energy core.
As long as the space was damaged, the projection of the Skeleton Forbidden Zone would disappear, rendering any further tactics of the caster futile.
Renata liked the plan for its straightforwardness and, ignoring Gunther, ascended halfway into the sky, her hands accumulating Holy Light, ready to unleash a mighty spell once gan had dealt with the energy core.
“Ma’am, do you need my help?”
Gunther approached gan, ready to contribute to the rescue of the Magic Departnt.
gan glanced at him coldly, “Don’t speak, just stand there; that’s the greatest help you can offer.”
Gunther felt awfully awkward and wanted to explain further.
gan cut him off, “Every word you say will be taken as evidence in court, which I will submit to the Magic Departnt.
For the benefit of The Church, I recomnd you remain silent, sir.”
“Gunther, don’t disturb the lady!”
From above, Renata’s voice of discontent reached them.
Gunther, feeling out of favor on all fronts, morosely moved aside.
Both being angels, he thought Wayne was much more pleasant—easy to call upon, energetic in executing tasks, and quick to act when it ca to confronting the Devil.
gan searched around, her blue eyes turning into a mix of golden and crimson dragon eyes.
Ten minutes later, she lashed out at a patch of air with all her might.
Crack!
The force of her punch roared, shattering the space and blasting open mirror-like fissures.
gan, having tested the waters and not hesitating any longer, delivered several more heavy strikes that shattered the hidden barriers.
What ca into view was an extrely complicated Magic Array, the main component being an Inverted Pentagram—a clear masterpiece of a Devil.
“But a Devil alone is not enough…”
In the center of the Magic Array, gan discovered an Ancient Silver Coin, a token of the Magic Departnt higher-ups, linked to a Grey Space, continuously channeling the Four Elents of earth, fire, water, and wind, ensuring the projection of the Skeleton Forbidden Zone remained stable.
In the air, electrical storms intertwined, slicing through the atmosphere like razor blades, thundering warnings to any who dared enter.
gan, unfazed by the threat, stepped into the array, her expression unchanged as she was instantly engulfed by the ferocious onslaught.
Lightning serpents darted swiftly, space trembled, and the Tempest scread, ripping everything apart and revealing black spiderweb cracks as the space collapsed.
gan, bathed in the rampaging Energy Vortex, appeared blurred and barely visible as a stretch of pristine white dragon claw reached out, passing through the flashing arcs of electricity, and firmly grasped the Ancient Silver Coin.
