The demons remained silent, allowing Envy to keep spinning tales. Unless there was an unexpected twist, there was no way Envy would amuse them today.
Envy pretended not to notice and harshly scolded Soskuna:"Wayne, let ask you, did you rob Archangel Hexuno of his purity? Aren’t you a weapon created by Heaven? Did you sneak into Hell to cover up Heaven’s righteous plan to invade Hell?"
Soskuna’s mind had long been mired in confusion. Hearing the lines he’d practiced multiple tis, he nodded blankly:"Yes, you’re absolutely right."
"What did I say? I never lie; it’s always Pride manipulating things. He’s Heaven’s undercover agent!"
Envy raised his spirits, speaking rapidly:"Wayne, let ask you again, answer truthfully, isn’t Lord Pride an undercover agent sent by Heaven to Hell? Wasn’t it him who sabotaged us by informing Heaven during the last failed war?"
"Yes, you’re absolutely right."
"Hahaha————"
Envy roared with laughter, lifting his arms as he laughed heartily.
In the laughter, there was the solace of having cleared his na, a belated justice for the unfairness, along with so carefree indifference as if forgiving the late arrival of justice.

This guy’s so pitiful!x7
The demons looked around at each other, unsure if they should expose Envy’s ruse.
"Damn it, say sothing! Wayne admitted it, don’t you believe it?"
Envy widened his eyes. He stood opposed to justice in pursuit of justice. He had already lied; what more did they want?
"Envy, it’s not about believing or not, it’s about authenticity."
Sloth shrugged while lying on the table:"Your acting was decent today, but the lie lacked authenticity, unlike previous tis when you convinced yourself first before deceiving us."
"Not professional enough!" Greed remarked.
"Indeed, today’s joke isn’t funny."
"Envy, your skills in telling jokes have deteriorated."
The demons shook their heads. Lord of Clown had spoiled them in the past, and now Envy was losing his touch. They not only couldn’t laugh but also saw the helplessness and lancholy of a talent exhausted in Lord of Clown.
This isn’t a joke; it’s a tragedy.
"You bunch of bastards!"
Envy gritted his teeth, annoyed that neither the truth nor lies were believed. Wasn’t he lying in vain?
"Soskuna, let ask you, did Envy make you impersonate Wayne and lie?" Pride sneered as he spoke.
"Yes, you’re absolutely right." The hapless fellow mumbled, responding with the sa phrase regardless of the question.
Envy:(는_는)
"Let have a go, let do it."
Sloth, suddenly alert, exclaid excitedly:"Answer , is Envy a clown?"
"Yes, you’re absolutely right."

Wayne was a newcor and found the Demon King Council far different from what he imagined. If he’d known the atmosphere was so joyous and the Great Demon King was so pleasant, he would have co to Hell sooner.
Thinking of this, his heart ached, wondering what fun he might have missed.
As he laughed along, Wayne sensed sothing amiss. Following the fierce gaze, he saw Pride looking at him with displeasure.
Pride: What’s your status, laughing in the sa manner as ?
Wayne: I’ve always laughed like this.
Pride glared at the still boastful Wayne, thinking it was bad luck to permit such a person as his avatar. The Great Demon King’s notorious reputation was bound to end.
On the other side, the demons asked Soskuna various questions about Lord of Clown, all getting the sa response.
Laughter echoed, bursting in joy.
"I can’t help it; my stomach’s about to burst from laughter."
Sloth wiped away tears from the corners of his eyes, chuckling and saying:"I never imagined that I, a lazybones, would train my abs from laughing."
"I didn’t expect it either; today’s joke is interactive. Only by joining in did the joke beco complete, truly creating laughter." Greed slapped the table in agreent.
"Envy showed dedication; without you, I’ll skip future etings."
"Well said!"
"..."
Amid the laughter, Envy sat down gloomily.
He seed to be ill, suffering from a lost way, incurable, unable to find where justice and truth were.
Yet, even so, even if he died, nailed in a coffin, he would still cry out from the grave with rotten vocal cords—he hadn’t lied before, and Hell owed him an apology.
Surrounded by mocking laughter, Envy looked on coldly at the demon kings helplessly, venting his frustration on Soskuna.
Suddenly, he swung his arms, pulverizing Soskuna’s chaotic thoughts, scattering them into the wind.
"Is it over so soon?"
"Indeed, I wanted to keep asking more."
"Envy is so stingy..."
The demons complained endlessly, marking the end of the eting, yet another joyful day.
None rose to leave, waiting for Pride to wrap up, expecting him to first hit Envy and then say a few words.
A Demon King Council without Envy being beaten is incomplete!
Pride didn’t strike Envy, at least not now. He knew well that the eting was just a warm-up, and the real Demon King Council had just begun.
He glanced at the demons and fixed his stare on Lust, exchanging looks.
Pride: So, slept him yet?
Lust: No, he turns his back on after pulling up his pants.
Pride: So you failed?
Lust: Not really, he seems eager to die on .
Pride nodded subtly; it matched his stereotype of Saint Heir, urging Lust to persevere. As long as she could seduce Wayne into willingly staying in Hell, any reward was negotiable.
The Chapter of Seven Deadly Sins was no exception!
Pride was serious, but with no credibility in devils, having once rcilessly betrayed Lust, she didn’t take these words to heart.
