“Wayne, would you like to descend upon her so you can experience the joy of conquering darkness?” Idinis said with a glint in her eye, her eyes squinted with cold light.
To those unaware, it sounded like a threat!
“Ah, this…”
Wayne blinked, plain-speaking among the wise, and for an instant, his heart was tempted.
“No thanks, the Dark Goddess could descend upon Anna at any mont.
Once your thoughts enter, you might well be taken back to the Divine Nation for research,” Wayne shook his head in refusal.
“You could choose another Holy Maiden.”
“I’m not that bored.”
“Are you sure?”
“…”
Wayne was stumped and, after a mont’s struggle, shook his head hard.
To think is one thing, to act is another; discussions of his falling from grace could wait for another day.
“Not bad, you’ve withstood temptation.
Your despicable image in my mind has just barely improved,” Idinis raised her hand, asuring a tiny distance with her fingers, her words dripping with sarcasm.
While speaking, she glanced at Little Wayne.
“…”x2
Anastasia: Boss, are you sure this is the thought process of the Dark Goddess?
Has it not been switched?
Wayne: I’m starting to doubt it myself.
Wayne frowned at Idinis.
When he first captured a part of the Dark Goddess’s thought process, he thought it was a great victory.
Looking back, he felt the Dark Goddess might be turning the tables, with other sches in mind.
Thinking of a possibility, he said, “Idinis, can you sense the Dark Divine Kingdom?
Can the Dark Goddess take you back to the Divine Nation at any ti?”
“I have exiled myself; I can’t enter the Divine Nation.
As for whether I can find myself…”
Idinis gave Wayne a look, a reminder, “Don’t underestimate any deity, especially when your power can’t match that of a divine being.
If it were , I would’ve already started plotting against you.”
“How would the Dark Goddess act?”
“I’m not sure; mories related to you have been altered, and my own mory loss has caused errors in my thought process.
It’s hard to answer this question definitively but, if I must…”
Idinis gave Wayne a disdainful glance, “Though you are trash, the lowest form of pathetic life, you have so redeeming qualities.
If I could possess you, any price would be worth paying.”
That’s enough; stop showing off.
Wayne’s scalp tingled as he suspected this might all be part of the Dark Goddess’s conditioning play.
Suddenly, he had an idea and stood to get dressed, “Co with to the West District Grand Cetery.
I previously found the bones of a Dark Knight that you might inhabit.
Your current body…
it’s a headache to look at.”
“Aren’t you afraid I’ll descend suddenly, take the thought process away, and you’ll gain nothing?” Idinis said with a smile.
“There’s no point in guarding against a thief every day, especially when she’s a deity.”
Wayne got dressed with Anastasia’s help, pinched Idinis’s face, and teased, “Play along with her; one day, she will beco like you.”
Idinis breathed hastily, a slight flush on her face, “Wayne, I want you more and more.”
Wayne furrowed his brow, his thought process scanned her, confird it wasn’t the Dark Goddess, and then let go of his suspicion.

West District Grand Cetery.
A thin mist lingered, surrounded by a death aura that phosphoresced, the gloomy atmosphere deeply discomforting to the living.
Anastasia felt uncomfortable at the sight of Idinis and had not followed.
Wayne reached an unnad tombstone, struck it with his hand, and a coffin broke through the soil.
The lid of the coffin opened to reveal the skeleton of the forr Dark Knight within.
Through Idinis’s mories, Wayne learned the na of this Knight—Vizi.
Idinis maintained her arrogant deanor, expressing dissatisfaction with inhabiting the Knight’s body, preferring to dean herself by dwelling in the second-hand, defiled Holy Maiden, Anastasia.
Wayne rolled his eyes, pretending not to hear, and waved a hand for her to get on with it.
Black froth peeled away and fell to the ground, turning into rotting black sludge.
Idinis’s thoughts entered the knightly skeleton, using her thoughts to reconstruct flesh and, as her face was being recreated, she maintained the true appearance of Vizi.
It was a nod of recognition to the Knight.
The forr Dark Knight’s expression was cold and aloof, even icier than Dreyne’s glacial facade; it was haughty to a fault, adding mystery and pride from the underlying Idinis.
When she looked at Wayne, her eyes were enchanting and filled with teasing.
“That’s enough, stop glaring.
After all, you’re a Knight in my service.
Get dressed first.”
Wayne turned away, intrigued by the northwest direction of Lundan, “Tonight’s surprises just keep coming, another Goddess has co to join .”
“Who?”
“Sky Goddess Sarosia, your forr best friend, who after your scheming, has finally seen the light.”
Images of Sarosia flashed before Wayne’s eyes—stubborn and foolish, not the sharpest.
He wondered if the proud Goddess had realized that there was no Storm and Thunder God in this world after leaving her confinent.
