Kai needed to find a way to spread his Monster Energy around him.

His goal was

simple: to coat the floor, the air, the ceiling—everything.

He wanted his Monster Energy to coat everything in the room; that way, he would be able to get a ntal visualization of his surroundings even if he had his senses blocked.

However, Kai quickly encountered a big problem.

He didn’t have nearly enough Monster Energy to execute this plan of his.

But again, it was the only thing he could think of. There was nothing else.

He didn’t know when an arrow would be sent since, in the last trial, the tis at which they were sent were different than the 30-second mark.

Running around like a dumbass would fail. He had already tried that on the first difficulty, and it had failed miserably.

’I need to figure out how to thin out my Monster Energy...’

Kai had already seen that Isla was able to do sothing similar, managing to scan her surroundings. However, he had never really understood the chanics behind that ability.

It seed to be related to the mind, but that was all Kai had managed to figure out.

Ti was passing extrely fast in this place with little to do except think and think and think.

He tried sothing else after a few more monts.

Instead of consistently pushing out Monster Energy, Kai decided to send out all his energy at once. He wanted to see if his theory was even possible in the first place.

He wanted to know if all he had done was for naught.

Kai gathered the Monster Energy around both of his palms, forming highly concentrated spheres of mana, and suddenly pushed them out at the sa ti toward opposite sides of the room.

Imdiately, Kai focused as hard as he could on the ambient energy, trying to discern the shape of the world that was currently surrounding him.

The room was flat, without anything inside it.

The ceiling was quite high, as Kai could feel his Monster Energy slowly dissipating in the air for quite so ti now, and it still hadn’t t resistance.

Still, what was most important about this test was that his theory worked.

If he managed to keep that energy around him for a minute, he would be able to leave this place.

’I need to create a skill.’

Kai knew that fact. This stage was focused on creating skills that no one had ever seen before.

That’s why it was so hard in the first place.

But then Kai was hit with the sa problem as before: his output of Monster Energy was far too weak.

’I need to find a way to increase it. But how...’

Kai had little he could do.

He had his Cultivation Technique, and on top of that, he had his spiritual energy, which was now completely drained.

"I need to find a way to increase the amount of Monster Energy entering . A little like overclocking my Monster Core."

Kai wasn’t sure if it was possible. However, he vividly rembered what had happened back on the streets in the Dark Elf Village when he had no choice but to find a way out.

Well, this was a similar situation, except Kai wasn’t really at risk of dying. That was the only difference between both situations.

’Alright, Kai. Focus, you can do this.’

Kai diverted all of his attention toward his Monster Core, feeling the flows of the waves crashing against the walls of his Monster Core.

Kai knew what he needed to do.

He needed to break those walls for a short mont.

That was all he could think of at the mont.

’Co on... I need more. I need to ask for more.’

Kai used his Monster Energy until his Core went dry, then he tried to ask for more Monster Energy from the ambient energy, which flooded inside of his body right away.

Slight cracks appeared on the outer wall of the Monster Core.

However, it wasn’t good enough.

’I need ALL OF IT!’ Kai scread in his mind, calling out to the Monster Energy, whose waves suddenly gained a lot more power.

Suddenly, the waves were crashing against the wall again and again, more and more cracks appearing. The speed at which his core was being replenished was higher than ever.

’MORE, I NEED MORE!’

’BREAK THAT WALL!’

-CRACK!

Then, the outer shell of the Monster Core suddenly broke before Kai’s keen gaze.

He felt his core being filled instantly, without even needing to use his skill from the second tier of the Varkul Cultivation Technique.

[You have created a new skill.]

[Na: Overclocking]

[Rank: Epic (Unique)]

[Description: For a short duration of one minute, you are able to use an infinite amount of Monster Energy. However, be warned that using this skill will have great backlash.]

Kai couldn’t hear or see those words. However, he could feel the imnse amount of Monster Energy in his body.

And he didn’t waste ti; instantly, he spread it all around him.

The air, the ground, the ceiling—he was no longer limited.

He could do it all.

Everything was coated in his energy, making it possible for him to see everything ntally.

Then, he saw three arrows suddenly appearing out of nowhere on his left.

He dodged them easily, as he could literally see them coming from miles away.

Then, three more appeared on his right, and two appeared above him.

He dodged them gracefully once again.

Then, a circle of arrows ford around his body.

Kai jumped and dodged them all.

He had a smile on his face as he did so.

He had done it. He had figured out how to beat this stage on his own.

Kai hadn’t asked for help from anyone; he had done it with his own effort, without Varkul, without Isla.

He was happy.

For the first ti since he had entered this ga, he had managed to complete sothing with his own talent.

[Congratulations! You have passed the second stage of the Trial of Monsters.]
