Capítulo 1200: Chapter 515: Loophole
To offend the heavens, for Chaos’s beings, Laine wasn’t quite sure if the Fates counted as ‘heaven’.
But for this Henu World that’s already ‘dead’, with only remnants still struggling, the figure standing over the Primordial Water might be considered ‘heaven’.
Yet as he journeyed on, Laine’s form as a ‘half-body of heaven’ walking in the Mortal Realm, increasingly resembled that of a mortal.
Regarding this point, the less experienced Andre may not have noticed, and even if he did, he might not discern the underlying changes.
But Clotho, who stayed by Laine’s side, certainly noticed.
Ti flowed by, and with a flicker, several months passed swiftly.
One day, by a road several hundred miles outside Thebes, an elder, expelled from his community, fell to the ground.
On the surface of his body, scarlet marks looked like crimson eyes, and scars accumulated over the years erupted at this mont.
Unquestionably, the elder was unfortunate, for throughout his early life, he scurried about for his family’s survival. From dawn to dusk, he never had a mont’s rest; and in his later years, he suffered this once-in-a-million disaster, struggling through calamities, and eventually was expelled by his descendants.
Under a collapsed nest, no egg remains unbroken…in this world, there are many others like him.
When the wheel of ti crushes down, there will always be an unfortunate generation that endures all the pain and toil only to hand over the fruits to others.
However, at this mont, he might be fortunate, for at the end of Life, the elder successfully encountered Laine passing by.
Without hesitation, just as he had done every ti before.
Laine slowly stepped forward, placing his right hand on the elder’s forehead.
Behind him, spontaneous followers and those with varied intentions jointly witnessed this miracle, shown countless tis before.
As if ti was reversing, or simply transferring the burden.
Along the junction of palm and forehead, Laine’s skin aged inch by inch, with old scars erging on his hand.
In just a few monts, it was as if he had borne all the disasters the elder experienced in his lifeti, giving rebirth to him.
So call this miracle ‘Baptism’, so simply call it ‘Rebirth’.
Until it was all over, as the fallen one bewilderedly opened his eyes again to this world, familiar yet strange to him.
Only then did Laine withdraw his hand, and the changes on his body gradually disappeared.
The fate of mortals is indeed filled with pain and heaviness, but they seem incapable of leaving a mark on a Saint.
Witnessing this, the crowd cheered, regardless of their thoughts, they once again praised this power to reverse life and death, only Clotho slightly frowned.
Ti stretched a little longer, this wasn’t her illusion…these mortals perhaps couldn’t detect this change, but she perceptively noticed the anomaly within.
If this went on…is there no problem?
“What’s wrong, why do you look at like that?”
Briefly closing his eyes, then reopening them, Laine buried a mortal’s lifeti of suffering deep within.
Glancing at Clotho’s gaze, he quietly asked.
“It’s nothing, just wondering…really no problems?”
“Of course.”
“You know it well, even though Chaos’s fate is twisted to such an extent, as the instigator, I haven’t paid a price for it, let alone now.”
“Just the Poison of Destiny from so humans, together they don’t asure up to the weight of a True God…you don’t need to worry about it.”
“Hmph.”
Clotho pouted dismissively at Laine’s so-called ‘concern’.
But he was right, compared to so mortal from the Alien Realm, Chaos’s Poison of Destiny is undoubtedly more terrifying—though she still isn’t clear why he can be exempt from the repercussions of fate.
And with a slight smile, Laine said nothing more, just secretly hastening to entirely dispel the trace of fatigue in his heart.
…
Ti continued to flow, in this shattered Earth, Laine’s steps never halted.
In recent tis, occasional tremors emanated from the borders of the domain fragnts.
Those were so smaller fragnts crashing into them, so shattered into pieces directly, so bounced off upon collision, others rged into this domain.
Laine paid no heed to this, rely continuing his journey.
One person, two people, three people…
Ten people, twenty people, thirty people…
A hundred people, two hundred people, three hundred people, and even more people…
Piece by piece, mortal destinies were intercepted, strand by strand of ‘Original Sin’ landed on him.
With the accumulation in quantity, a certain change was finally about to occur.
Yet Laine equally knew, his first encounter with destiny’s repercussion was about to arrive, even the least significant one.
Because in reality, regardless of his response to Clotho.
Just as he foresaw the price he would bear when moving against the Fates, he couldn’t bear these living beings’ sins without any load.
And although even he couldn’t be certain if he beca this ‘loophole’ because of his origins, or due to the price the world paid for failing to obliterate him, regardless if he willingly bore the cost or planned to utilize it.
Ultimately, Laine’s unrestrained ability to disrupt Fate’s track was simply because he was inherently Chaos’s fate loophole, certainly not exempt from fate’s influence.
Complete destiny is the pillar of the world, no existence can regard Him as everything, even He Himself cannot.
Therefore, the thod Laine employed before only worked because, as a loophole, most of what he did wouldn’t face backlash from the start.
No harm, naturally it doesn’t count as confrontation.
But at this mont, the situation is vastly different.
For this ti, Laine willingly accepted fate’s backlash…and even though he possessed traits similar to the Fates, even stronger than them, enabling him to bear this ‘venom’s’ influence, it’s not entirely ineffective.
Especially now, the Laine here isn’t complete.
He’s just a part of his complete self, with strength nearly null.
“Luckily, unlike Chaos, this world no longer has past and future.”
“If there’s solely ‘now’, I can barely endure…”
“And in this last bit of Ti, I just need to adapt to them as much as possible.”
Thoughts flashed through his mind, as another ‘Original Sin’ entered his body.
It seed to reach a certain threshold, and Laine noticed these destinies’ ‘sins’ were about to manifest into so entity.
Just like the black water Hers saw when sealing Lachesis, a drop of pitch-black fluid ford in the unseen, starting to coil around him.
Yet correspondingly, another change Laine had awaited appeared along.
