Just as the sphere of darkness was about to obliterate the barrier, a soft, lodic hum echoed through the abyss. The sound resonated with the ancient energy of the World Tree, growing louder and more powerful with each passing mont.

Ning Yue's eyes snapped open.

Her irises, now glowing with an ethereal light, seed to reflect the cosmos themselves. A gentle, green aura emanated from her, pushing back the encroaching darkness.

The World Tree responded in kind, its branches swaying in a rhythmic dance as a radiant light enveloped it, reinforcing the barrier that protected it.

Yao Huang, his expression finally shifting from one of calm confidence to surprise, took a step back. The power radiating from Ning Yue was not just that of a cultivator-it was sothing far greater, sothing ancient and primal.

Yao Huang's eyes narrowed as he stared at Ning Yue. "Interesting. Who might you be?"

"You should have left when you had the chance," Ning Yue said, her voice soft but carrying an undeniable authority. "Now, you will face the consequences."

Long Er and Long San, still sprawled on the ground, watched in awe as Ning Yue confronted Yao Huang. They could feel the shift in power, the sudden surge of energy that radiated from the young woman. She was no longer just a cultivator; she had beco sothing more, sothing connected to the very essence of the World Tree.

Yao Huang chuckled, though there was a flicker of unease in his eyes. "And who are you to challenge , little girl? Do you think the power of the World Tree can save you from the might of the Primordial God?"

Ning Yue did not respond. Instead, she raised her hand, and the green light around her intensified. The roots of the World Tree, which had been lying dormant, suddenly surged to life. They shot out from the ground like massive serpents, their tips glowing with a sharp, piercing light.

The roots moved with incredible speed, wrapping around the four Dragon God Ancestors- Long Er, Long San, Long Si, and Long Wu-and pulling them toward the base of the tree. The roots ford a protective cocoon around the injured Dragon Ancestors, shielding them from further harm.

Yao Huang's expression darkened. He could feel the power emanating from Ning Yue, a power that was not just her own but also that of the World Tree. It was a force that even he, as the inheritor of the God of Darkness, could not ignore.

"Interesting," Yao Huang said, his voice calm but laced with a hint of caution. "It seems you are more than just a re mortal. But no matter. I will crush you and the World Tree together."

With a swift motion, Yao Huang thrust his hand forward, and a massive wave of darkness surged toward Ning Yue. The darkness was not just an absence of light—it was a devouring force, a void that consud everything in its path. The space around it shattered, and the light was swallowed whole, leaving only an endless abyss of nothingness.

Ning Yue's expression remained calm. She raised her hand, and the green light around her coalesced into a barrier. The barrier was not just a simple shield-it was a manifestation of the World Tree's power, a force that had existed since the dawn of creation. The darkness collided with the barrier, and for a mont, it seed as though the light would be overwheld.

But then, the barrier began to pulse. The green light grew brighter, and the darkness that had been devouring everything in its path was pushed back. The light spread, dispelling the shadows and restoring the balance of the abyss.

Yao Huang's eyes widened in shock. He had never seen anything like this before. The power of the World Tree, combined with Ning Yue's own strength, was sothing even he could not easily overco.

"What kind of power is this?" Yao Huang uttered in doubt. "Are you the inheritor of the God of Life?"

Ning Yue did not answer. Instead, she took a step forward, her movents graceful and deliberate. The green light around her intensified, and the roots of the World Tree surged forward once more. This ti, they were not just defensive-they were on the attack.

The roots shot toward Yao Huang, their tips glowing with a sharp, piercing light. Yao Huang raised his hand, and a barrier of darkness ford in front of him. The roots struck the barrier, and for a mont, it seed as though they would be repelled.

But then, the roots began to pulse with the sa green light as Ning Yue's barrier. The light spread, and the barrier of darkness began to crack. Yao Huang's eyes widened as he realized what was happening-the power of the World Tree was not just resisting his darkness; it was purifying it.

Yao Huang was shocked even more. His power belonged to the Primordial God, the strongest existence in the Primal Chaos. How it be purified by Ning Yue's power so easily?

"You must be the inheritor of the God of Life!" Yao Huang spoke with certainty.

With a swift motion, Yao Huang raised his hand, and the darkness around him surged once more. This ti, the darkness took on a more sinister form, swirling and condensing into a massive, shadowy vortex. The vortex pulsed with a devouring energy, as if it could consu even the light of the World Tree itself.

"Devour!" Yao Huang roared, his voice echoing through the abyss.

The vortex shot forward, its dark tendrils reaching out like the claws of a beast, aiming to consu Ning Yue and the World Tree. The sheer force of the attack caused the ground to tremble, and the air around it distorted under the pressure.

Ning Yue's eyes narrowed as she saw the vortex approach. She could feel the imnse power within it, the raw, untad energy of the void. It was a power that could potentially devour everything, even the light of the World Tree.

With a deep breath, she raised her hands, and the green light around her intensified. The branches of the World Tree swayed in response, their leaves rustling as they emitted a soft, ethereal glow. The roots beneath her feet pulsed with energy, anchoring her to the ground, providing her with strength.

The World Tree responded in kind. Its light grew brighter, stronger, forming a protective sphere around Ning Yue.

As the dark vortex struck the sphere, the two forces clashed. The darkness, with its devouring

energy, tried to consu the light. But the light, with its ancient and primal power, resisted,

pushing back against the encroaching void.
