All in all, he found dozens of similar items, many of which were suitable. They included both traditional herbal redies and technological products.

He glanced at the Repair Gel. It was for external use, mainly for scar removal, and clearly ant to be used after a wound had healed. It could be considered for later, but it wasn’t suitable now.

On the other hand, the Heavenly Origin Powder seed a bit more useful, though he wasn’t sure if it could be trusted.

However, considering that products from the system had never let him down, he felt it was very likely this item would be effective.

The several hundred thousand Reputation Points it cost were a bit painful, but considering its effectiveness, it seed worth it. If he had the formula, he could probably make a fortune selling just this one type of dicine.

Unfortunately, the system only offered the finished product, not the formula.

Otherwise, he might have experienced the thrill of a high-tech tycoon system.

Excluding what he’d spent on lottery draws, he still had a balance of over three million Reputation Points, which he had intentionally saved.

He generally didn’t spend Reputation Points as long as his balance was under ten million, as he was intentionally saving them, just in case he needed them—like now.

One Heavenly Origin Powder, then. Let’s see if it can speed up healing and remove scars.

Qi Supplenting Pills and Qi Blood Pills, one of each of those too. Xu Qingqiu has lost so much blood; she still looks pale and weak. These will be useful.

As for the rest, he glanced over them but didn’t waste any more Reputation Points. Oh, right! I still have several Wound Patches from the lottery that I haven’t used. They’ll be perfect for this, he suddenly rembered.

This should be enough for now. We can see how well they work. If scars remain, that Repair Gel might be worth trying later.

He had the items, but how should he use them?

He looked at Xu Qingqiu, hesitated for a mont, then opened his mouth to speak:

"Old... Xu..."

"Call Qingqiu!"

Xu Qingqiu gave him a beautiful eye roll, her lips curved in a smile that wasn’t quite a smile as she spoke.

"Alright then, Qingqiu. I have sothing I want to discuss with you..."

Saying this, Chu Tian felt a bit embarrassed. He couldn’t shake the feeling that he was treating her like a lab rat, which made it difficult to speak up.

"What is it? Just tell ."

Xu Qingqiu suspected he was up to his old tricks but didn’t seem to mind. Nevertheless, she subconsciously turned to face him, giving him her full attention.

"Well... I an, I have so stuff here that might help with wound healing."

"A friend gave them to , and I haven’t used them myself, but I guarantee they’re effective and completely harmless."

"So, it’s up to you whether you trust . If you do, I’ll give them to you to try. If not, then forget I said anything."

Once he finished speaking, it felt as though a burden had been lifted from his heart, and he relaxed considerably.

I’m the one helping her, so why do I feel so guilty?

He had expected Xu Qingqiu to take so ti to consider, but she nodded without hesitation the mont he finished speaking.

"I trust you. Go ahead and use it."

"Huh?"

Chu Tian was caught off guard for a mont.

"I said, I trust you! Whatever you say, I believe it!"

Looking at Xu Qingqiu’s glittering eyes and her earnest expression, Chu Tian felt a slight stirring in his heart.

Even his initial casual and distant deanor softened, and he nodded seriously in return.

"Okay."

With an "Okay," he stood up and stepped outside. After a quick look around to ensure the dical staff weren’t paying attention, he returned to the ward, now with a few items in his hands.

Can’t be helped, he thought. After all, I’m ddling on their turf. It’d be a lie to say I’m not a bit uneasy; it feels like I’m sneaking around.

Xu Qingqiu watched him silently the entire ti, not uttering a word. Her gaze remained fixed on Chu Tian, her eyes reflecting a hint of inquiry and a touch of curiosity, but above all, unwavering trust.

Chu Tian, sowhat embarrassed by her steadfast gaze, could only lower his head and seriously begin preparing the items.

He first unwrapped the bandages. Having watched the nurse do it once before, he had a good idea of how to proceed.

Once the wound was exposed, he took the small porcelain bottle of Heavenly Origin Powder and gently tapped it, allowing the powder to scatter evenly over the injury.

After covering the entire wound, he opened a Wound Patch, stretched it over the area, and finally rewrapped the bandages securely.

Next, he treated the wound on her head in the sa manner.

Just then, Yiyi returned, bouncing cheerfully, having finished washing the items.

"Chu Tian? What happened to Sister Qiu’s head?"

"Ah? Oh, it’s nothing. The bandage just ca loose, so I rewrapped it."

Chu Tian was startled but feigned calmness and bluffed. Xu Qingqiu watched silently, pursing her lips to suppress a snicker, not exposing his lie.

Only Yiyi took him seriously. She watched him intently, offering earnest advice.

"Did you not wrap it properly? Maybe we should call the nurse."

"It’s fine, it’s fine, it’s already fixed. See? It looks good now, doesn’t it? Your Sister Qiu was just being restless and knocked it loose. No need to bother them."

After Chu Tian finished, he waved his hands with a sheepish grin, yet clearly proud of his handiwork.

Seeing Xu Qingqiu laughing so rrily, he seized the chance to tease her.

"You...!"

Xu Qingqiu hadn’t expected him to pull such a stunt after all that. Annoyed, she raised her small fists and playfully pumled Chu Tian. Her blows lacked any real force, making it look more like flirting than an actual attack.

"TSK!"

Yiyi clicked her tongue at the sight, disdainfully curling her lip. Too lazy to pursue the matter, she glanced at the dicine bottles on the bedside table, assud they were prescribed by the hospital, and thought nothing more of it.

Chu Tian surreptitiously glanced at Yiyi. Seeing she didn’t inquire further, he breathed an inward sigh of relief. He turned back and shot a glare at Xu Qingqiu. Then, picking up the last two dicine bottles, he lowered his voice and said:

"Take one pill from each of these two bottles, one of each per day. They’ll replenish your blood and qi, and even beautify your skin."

"Really?"

Surprised, Xu Qingqiu’s small mouth fell open as she looked up, only to find herself face-to-face with Chu Tian. Their faces were less than twenty centiters apart, so close they could feel each other’s breath.

Instantly, they both froze, staring into each other’s eyes, which seed as deep and boundless as the cosmos, drawing them in further the longer they gazed.

"Whash reaw ow fake?"

Just as an inexplicable spark was about to ignite between their gazes, Yiyi, the oblivious third wheel, slowly strolled over, eating a banana and carrying a plate.

"Ah! It’s nothing, nothing! I was just saying your Sister Qiu had to get her head shaved when they stitched up her wound."

Chu Tian scrambled to his feet so quickly he almost threw out his back. Still, his mouth couldn’t resist a sarcastic retort, though it was unclear what he was trying to hide.

"Ignore him, Yiyi! Co, sit down. Let’s talk; we won’t stoop to his level!"

Xu Qingqiu’s face flushed. She glanced at him and quickly pulled Yiyi to sit down, trying to conceal her wildly beating heart. Yet, her eyes kept involuntarily drifting towards Chu Tian, her lips curving into an inexplicable, persistent smile.

Yiyi, completely oblivious, plopped down on the hospital bed. Proudly presenting her plate, she said:

"Sister Qiu, have so fruit! I just washed it; it’s really sweet!"

"Mmm, Yiyi, you’re the best! And this is delicious!"

Watching the two girls chat animatedly, Chu Tian felt sowhat superfluous. The recent awkwardness also made him a bit uncomfortable, so after a mont’s hesitation, he said:

"Well, if there’s nothing else, I’ll head back first."

"Yeah, go on, go on! I’m here!"

Yiyi waved him off magnanimously, patting her sturdy chest.

A trace of reluctance flickered across Xu Qingqiu’s face, but she knew Chu Tian must be exhausted from the day’s events. Besides, her own thoughts were a jumbled ss, so she simply nodded lightly.
