It's undeniable that love can sotis truly beco a motivating force for progress.
Whenever Wei Liangxiao recalled how he'd casually tried to discuss his feelings, only to be rebuffed and sent away, he felt utterly dejected.
Especially when the person he liked was a workaholic, he always felt as if his own laid-back attitude seed irresponsible.
Even though their work was different, seeing the other person bustling about while he himself was idle always made him feel a perplexing prick of conscience.
It was like everyone living in the sa dorm; if one person suddenly started studying late into the night under the lamplight, the others lying in bed wouldn't feel at ease either.
He was in this state of mind now. He didn't know if it was Sister Hua's influence or sothing else, but the forrly easy-going Wei Liangxiao was suddenly filled with a fighting spirit.
His goal wasn't too lofty; in fact, he didn't have much of a long-term goal at all. He just wanted to find sothing to do, to make so progress, or at least to appear busier.
Although this mindset was hardly normal, at least the result was positive.
So, after leaving Chu Tian, he imdiately went to find Hou Yichuan. Unfortunately, Hou Yichuan wasn't at the company; he had gone out to discuss business.
Even so, this didn't stop Wei Liangxiao's restless heart. Putting aside Sister Hua's influence, he genuinely loved this program.
After returning ho, he read the proposal over and over, various ideas continuously surfacing in his mind.
Wei Liangxiao found a notebook sowhere and filled it with writing, mostly his own thoughts and insights, along with his upcoming work schedule.
The next day, as soon as he heard Hou Yichuan was back, he rushed to the company and imdiately cornered him to discuss the matter.
President Hou was already swamped. Seeing another pile of matters land on his plate, he felt his head ache.
"Sigh, Wei, I'm really stretched thin right now. Is this urgent?"
"Urgent! Extrely urgent! It would be best to start now!"
"But... I discussed this program with President Chu before, and it didn't seem so pressing. Why don't you wait a bit? Wait until I'm less busy, alright? I can't spare any manpower or ti for you right now!"
"No! We need to start now!"
Hearing it might be postponed again, Wei Liangxiao was imdiately unwilling. This wasn't for his own sake but based on his assessnt after carefully evaluating the proposal.
"President Hou, I know you're busy, and President Chu ntioned it too, but I have no choice but to start now. Just listen to what I have to say, and you'll understand."
Fearing that Hou Yichuan might imdiately dismiss the idea, Wei Liangxiao quickly pulled him aside and began to explain, point by point.
"Look, this program is the biggest variety project our company has undertaken so far. The initial investnt alone is estimated to be over a hundred million, so we have to do it right, don't we?"
That was true. After investing so much money, doing it poorly would be worse than not doing it at all. It wasn't as if they were made of money and could afford to burn it.
So, Hou Yichuan nodded quickly in agreent.
"Right? So, if we want the program to be successful, the initial preparations must be thorough, correct?"
"Look, our program has very high standards for contestants. Finding suitable ones in a country this large won't be easy."
"To conduct a broader and more effective screening process, we'll need even more ti. You probably don't have any objections to that, right?"
"It's not just about the ti. Think about it: who are the people likely to participate in a music talent show? One group is music enthusiasts, and the other is inevitably those connected to this profession, right?"
"But who is our program ultimately targeting? Isn't it predominantly young people?"
"Besides, with such a luxurious stage, the performances must be at the forefront of current trends, right? We can't have a group of seniors up there performing public square dances or traditional folk routines, can we?"
"Therefore, we definitely need to focus on young people. So, I've set an age range of 16 to 35 years old as our target for auditions."
"This brings us to a very crucial demographic: students!"
Seeing Hou Yichuan calm down from his initially impatient state and listen more attentively, Wei Liangxiao rejoiced internally, realizing his words were having an effect. He promptly struck while the iron was hot.
"Not only that, but even for our program's influence and the career longevity of contestants after the show ends and they debut, aren't students the most advantageous choice? Youth is an asset, right?"
"But here's the problem: if we start preparing now, we'll only be able to assemble the audition team by the end of this month at best."
"By the ti we publicize it and the teams travel to various locations, it will likely be well into August."
"This timing coincides perfectly with the students' sumr vacation, giving them ample ti to participate. If selected, and they later wanted to pursue fa, they could most likely get leave from school to participate."
"But if we miss this window, and students have already started their school year, then no matter how well we promote it, think about how many would be willing to take ti off from school for a chance at sothing so ethereal?"
Hearing this, Hou Yichuan actually found it quite reasonable.
If the auditions were held during the sumr vacation, those students wouldn't have much else to do at ho anyway. Those with aspirations would most likely give it a try, especially since there wasn't much of a cost involved for them.
