Xu Ruyan had finished most of her scenes more than a week ahead of schedule, aning she should have wrapped up filming long ago.
However, ti was tight. Her next project was waiting, and since there were only a few days of shooting left for this production, they hadn’t held a separate wrap-up ceremony for her, planning to wait until everyone finished.
After all, she was the female lead. It really wouldn’t do for the main actress to be absent from the final wrap-up banquet, which explained why she had rushed over.

Xu Ruyan was about to explode with anger. She hadn’t reacted at first, but then she saw Chu Tian’s wicked grin and understood she’d been played again.

"Alright then. I just wanted to ask if our company is still hiring. My roommates are all very hardworking, and they also have excellent grades. They just lack opportunities and have been stuck playing minor roles..."

After giving these instructions, Chu Tian hurriedly boarded the plane back to the Capital.
anwhile, the film crew wouldn’t be able to return for a while. They still had to return various items like equipnt, props, and costus, and there were also so wrap-up tasks to complete.
Just as Chu Tian stepped off the plane, he received a call from Xu Qingqiu.
"Hello, darling? Why are you calling at this ti?"
"You just landed? Have you eaten yet?" Xu Qingqiu asked.
"Not yet," Chu Tian replied. "You know how airplane food is—terrible. I thought I’d just wait until I landed to find sothing to eat, since the flight wasn’t that long. Have you eaten? Should I co find you so we can eat together?"
"I’ve already eaten," Xu Qingqiu said. "Besides, I’m not in the Capital right now."
"You’re not in the Capital?" Chu Tian asked. "Where did you go? Another comrcial performance?"
"No, I’m in Hang City," Xu Qingqiu replied. "The concert here is in a couple of days, isn’t it? Sister Hua said the climate here is quite different, so she wanted to co over early to acclimate, in case there were any problems."
"Oh, is that so?" Chu Tian said. "That’s a sha. If I’d known, I wouldn’t have rushed back."
"Miss ?" Xu Qingqiu teased.
"Of course! Why else would I have rushed back so soon? Don’t you miss ?" Chu Tian replied.
While dragging his suitcase out, Chu Tian spoke on the phone with a sappy smile, completely unaware that Xu Qingqiu, on the other end, had a cold sneer on her face.
"Is that so? You really miss ?" Xu Qingqiu’s tone shifted. "I thought you were missing soone else. I heard that *so people* are young, beautiful, have great figures... and more than one of them, at that. Isn’t that right?"
"Huh? Wait, what are you talking about? I don’t quite understand..." Chu Tian stamred.
"You don’t understand? You *really* don’t understand?" Xu Qingqiu pressed. "Those pretty actresses, especially the recent graduates, aren’t they just like delicate flowers?"
"Huh? Wait a minute," Chu Tian said, a dawning realization hitting him. "Did your sister say sothing to you?"
"Of course not. What does it have to do with my sister?" Xu Qingqiu retorted. "Isn’t that what you were thinking deep down?"
"I definitely wasn’t thinking that! This is a huge misunderstanding!" Chu Tian protested miserably. "You know how I feel about you, don’t you...?"
While he pleaded, Chu Tian was ntally cursing Xu Ruyan to no end. What a ’dear’ sister-in-law! Truly sothing else! So quiet to my face, then silently stabs in the back!
