There was a transfer fee, and since those companies weren’t doing well, they were lucky that everyone agreed readily.
Ultimately, they took over almost the entire floor and even half of the one below.
"Not bad. Co with for now, and I’ll have soone take you to handle the paperwork later," President Chu said.
Not minding Xu Ruyan playfully calling him President Chu, he ushered her in first; standing at the reception was attracting too much attention.
"How co you’re here by yourself? Did you tell your sister?"
Hou Yichuan and the others exchanged greetings with them and then went about their business. Chu Tian led Xu Ruyan back to his office, pouring her a glass of water as he asked.
"Not yet. I just thought I’d co over and see what the company is like. But I was stopped as soon as I reached the door. I had no choice but to say I was here to report for duty."
Hearing her explanation, Chu Tian chuckled.
This was an entertainnt company, after all. Besides regular employees, stars, artists, and directors were constantly coming and going.
If just anyone could wander in, how could the company operate? It would be thoroughly exposed by sasaeng fans or paparazzi by the next day.
Forget entertainnt companies; even ordinary businesses install password locks to protect trade secrets and keep solicitors out, don’t they?
"Aren’t you still supposed to be in class? Did you take leave to co here?"
"What are you talking about? It’s the weekend. Besides, it’s almost the end of the year, and winter vacation is just around the corner. Our classes are pretty much finished. Apart from preparing for final exams, our schedule is quite flexible."
"A lot of my classmates have already gone to production sets for internships, so I wanted to co and take a look first."
Xu Ruyan accepted the water Chu Tian offered, took a sip, and then, blinking her large eyes, looked up at him as she finished speaking.
Chu Tian clearly understood her implication. Her subtext was pretty clear: ’My classmates have all joined productions, and my sister keeps a tight leash on , so I ca to the company to test the waters, see if I can get into a production or sothing.’ Getting her into a production wasn’t a problem, but the question was, which one? There were options within his own company, but they weren’t suitable. Not to ntion those variety shows—she couldn’t go on them, definitely not as a guest. And she couldn’t possibly work behind the scenes, could she? An actor working behind the scenes... only those who truly couldn’t make it in front would do that. There was one TV drama, ’iPartnt 2.’ The main issue, though, was that the cast had already been set, and changing it was out of the question. He wasn’t that kind of brainless capitalist, and Xu Ruyan didn’t need him to promote her like that. Go to soone else’s production? That could work. After all, Unlimited Entertainnt had so standing in the industry, so placing a few actors in smaller productions wasn’t an issue. But Chu Tian didn’t want to do that.
"Hmm... there really isn’t anything suitable at the mont. There are several crews currently filming, so it’s not possible for you to join them. However, going to observe and learn for a bit shouldn’t be a problem," he said.
"Really? Has ’iPartnt’ Season Two started filming? Can I go and watch?"
"You watch that show too?"
After asking, Chu Tian smiled wryly. He recalled Hou Yichuan ntioning that this show was very popular among young people. As a college student on the cutting edge of trends, Xu Ruyan must have at least heard of it, even if she hadn’t watched it.
However, the fact that she knew it was their company producing it surprised Chu Tian sowhat.
As expected of a performance student, she could spot details that ordinary people wouldn’t notice.
Generally, who besides industry insiders pays attention to the credits of a film or TV drama—the cast list, production company, and crew information? Very few people do.
Xu Ruyan’s attention to this detail showed that, at the very least, her professional awareness was beginning to take root.
