"You kill?" Shen Ye looked at "the King".
"Alright."
"The King" disappeared from where he stood.
After a while.
He returned under the big tree and threw a bizarre-shaped corpse onto the ground.
"I searched the surrounding mountains, and only this thing seems out of place with the surrounding laws; it should be that demon you ntioned."
"The King" said.
Shen Ye glanced at it, and saw this corpse was actually a king species.
... King species?
"Why did this monster appear in this world?"
Shen Ye pondered silently in his heart.
"Thank you, this terrible thing is finally dead." The old man sighed.
"Go ahead, is there anything you need—start with your story, the matter about that young man beside you might be quite troubleso, let him speak later."
"The King" glanced at Shen Ye.
Shen Ye shrugged, signaling him to speak first.
"The King" then said:
"I have many questions, but I’m confused about what asking them would lead to."
"Because you don’t know who you are." The old man said.
"Who am I?"
"That’s right, that’s your first question; you need a na."
"Na."
"Yes, All Things and all beings have nas, the Divine Spirits have nas, everything has a na, yet you don’t, so your life hasn’t begun yet."
"...Thank you."
"The King" walked to one side and began to ponder.
The old man looked towards Shen Ye.
"How do you know I am qualified?" he asked.
Shen Ye, not intending to hide, raised his hand to show the noose on his wrist.
"Ah, this is it."
The old man suddenly laughed, as if he encountered the biggest joke.
He laughed for several minutes before stopping, using a rag to wipe away the tears of laughter, pointed at Shen Ye, and said:
"I must say, your troubles have co."
Shen Ye said, "I am already troubled enough—I thought you could help solve a problem, which is—"
"It’s this Demon Exorcism sequence." The old man said.
"You know and yet you make fun of ? Is it a prank? Or is there sothing I don’t know about it?" Shen Ye felt a bit uneasy.
"This is one of the most ancient sequences, it’s an unusual arrangent born of nurous Laws—it helps you remove the evil from your body." The old man said.
"Then what’s so funny about it?" Shen Ye asked.
"Do you know what the most primitive exorcism thod is?"
"...Fire?"
"That’s old enough, but not primitive—the most primitive exorcism is isolation."
"Huh?"
"Yes, if you are imprisoned in an extrely unbearable place, when the evil in your body cannot bear it, or is tempted by so other things, it will leave you."
"Imprisonnt... doesn’t seem that funny." Shen Ye shrugged.
"This noose brought you to because I happened, when I was young, to gain the qualification to activate the Demon Exorcism sequence."
"If I activate it."
"You will be—"
"Imprisoned in the Abyss, where countless beings crave to obtain ’evil’; they will try their utmost to take ’evil’ from you."
Shen Ye suddenly beca sensitive.
Could it be...
"Is your point of laughter in the word ’take’?" Shen Ye asked.
"Indeed, human nightmares are, for so beings, incredibly wonderful; I dare say you’ll be quite popular there." The old man said.
"I don’t care, activate the sequence and send there—I want to purge the evil within." Shen Ye said.
"What about you?" The old man looked at "the King".
"I’ll go too—I just want to think about my na."
"Alright, then be careful yourselves."
The old man placed his hand on Shen Ye’s wrist, grasping the noose tightly, and recited a spell:
"Imdiate confinent."
The entire world flashed by.
Shen Ye only felt as if he was floating, drifting in an endless ocean.
The next second.
Boom.
He crashed onto the ground.
"The King" flipped over and stood up from the ground.
The two looked around.
All they saw was darkness, the walls around were huge stones covered in moss.
Not far away, there were iron bars.
—This is a prison!
While the two were observing, a voice ca from deep within the cell:
"Newcors, what goodies have you brought?"
Sure enough, there’s drama!
Shen Ye turned his hopeful face toward the depths of the darkness and said:
"I’m not sure either, could you help take a look?"
Out of the darkness erged seven or eight fierce ghostly faces, all staring at Shen Ye.
"Yes."
"He has sothing."
"Indeed he does."
"What an evil thing, but hidden very deep."
"How do we get it?"
"Not easy."
"Looks like we’ll have to use the most primitive thod."
"Let’s try it."
The ghostly faces retreated and disappeared.
A rustling sound.
"What are they doing?" "The King" asked puzzledly.
"I’m not quite sure of the primitive thod either—possibly getting exorcism tools ready." Shen Ye said uncertainly.
A few minutes later.
Candlelight was ignited, illuminating the ancient dilapidated prison.
Several burly n heavily made-up strutted over to Shen Ye.
"This young lad."
"You’re free tonight, right."
"Provided you offer up the evil within you, everything else is negotiable."
They winked at Shen Ye.
Shen Ye was dumbfounded.
These guys emanated overwhelming Demonic Qi but had gone all-out to transform into humans for Shen Ye’s "evil".
It wasn’t easy.
—Not easy, your sister!
"The King" scrutinized each one and shook his head;
"Now I understand why that old man laughed."
"—Perhaps you should give it a try?"
Shen Ye remained calm, drew a knife, and said, "I suddenly think humans coexisting with evil isn’t so bad."
"Really?"
"Yes."
The reluctantly transford n could no longer restrain their murderous aura, shouted vehently:
"Human, don’t reject the offer of a toast and take punishnt, we planned to serve you together just now."
Shen Ye held back and barely refrained from throwing up last night’s dinner.
"The King" smiled a little and boredly fiddled with his human ear, asking:
"Fight?"
"Fight, I’ll fight to the death." Shen Ye said pale-faced.
Suddenly.
A figure descended from the sky, laughing:
"I have much evil in , many questions, please help !"
—It was Rahu!
It had co along too!
Both sides were montarily stunned.
"An ally?"
The ghosts questioned fearfully.
Shen Ye and "The King" shook their heads together.
The monsters turned their gaze towards Rahu; Rahu had just comprehended the situation.
—At this mont, he was still in the long-haired man’s form.
On him—
There seed to be sothing attracting the ghosts.
"It seems to be hidden with various thods, so quite wonderful."
"Nice curse."
"How great, although not as good as that lad just now."
"We can help him, hmm."
Rahu hadn’t figured out the situation yet and had been dragged away into the darkness by seven or eight burly n.
"You—"
"You have many questions, we need to hold a ritual for you!"
"Ritual?"
"Yes, it will surely help you."
"..."
...The darkness seed to calm down.
The darkness seed to be surging.
"Fight?"
"The King" asked lazily.
"Let’s check what’s outside the iron bars, what do you think?" Shen Ye began gathering intelligence.
"Alright, let’s go."
