As Anon played with the broken blade, he twirled the hilt skillfully. Standing up, he suddenly walked away from Bolan’s squirming corpse, focusing his eyes on a shattered piece of his golden staff that was embedded into the earth.
Yanking it out of the earth, he then walked alongside the sleeping Red Ape for several ters. Finally, he appeared before the other broken part of his staff.
Although the two parts were broken, one asured over a foot and the other two feet, their shattered ends were quite sharp. With skillful handling, they remained effective weapons. A strange smile tugged at Anon’s lips as he prepared to use them masterfully.
Appearing before Bolan’s corpse once again, he held all three broken weapons in one hand whilst grabbing Bolan’s corpse by its neck with his other hand. Dragging him across the open field, he walked past the hole in the earth where the Sky-grade magical item was evolving, glancing at it with interest, before continuing his walk, further and further away from the sleeping Beast General.
As his gaze trailed towards the body he gripped by the neck, Anon’s golden amber orbs lit up as he chuckled aloud, "Hehe, I wonder what reaction you’d have when you return to ?"
...
Dark.
’Heh!’
The world was dark.
Although Bolan’s consciousness had returned to his body, it was as if his eyes were blind, and his ears were deaf.
At the sa ti, he lacked the ability to sll, and his sense of touch was skewed.
Whether his tastebuds functioned or not, he couldn’t distinguish whatsoever. What was occurring right now, in the outer world, he had no idea.
’My brain must not have reford yet.’ Bolan would’ve smiled if he could. ’I wonder, did you expect this? Anon? Hehe...’ As Bolan’s thoughts churned, although he was in a pathetic state in the real world and in this one, his mood was rather bright.
Truthfully, his life was hanging by a thread, and he knew it.
No matter how crazy his regenerative abilities had beco after mastering his fleshy form, having his skull and brain explode and surviving was still a stretch.
Just barely, thanks to his darkness-related principle, could he achieve this state where he was neither living nor dead, and that too, only because he had entered the second world.
’In fact, even if you know, Anon, what can you do?’ Bolan suddenly thought to himself, ’Maybe soone in the second layer could completely block the help I’m receiving from my principle, but you’re not in the second layer are you? Otherwise killing one-winged moneys would’ve been much easier for you.’
Though he wasn’t directly speaking to Anon, Bolan imagined Anon’s facial expressions and frustrations after coming to know of the oddities swirling around his body.
’If you could destroy the entirety of my fleshy body, reducing it to ash, I might not be capable of regenerating.’ Bolan mused internally, ’But my worldly form is of the second world, so how, Anon, how are you going to do that? Destroying everything simultaneously isn’t nearly as easy as simply bursting my skull, Anon.’
His mood was good as he thought, ’Or are you going to slice up my body and place it in several differing locations? But these pieces of flesh all contain the essence of my principle. No matter how far away, it’ll always be as if I am one, and regeneration, no, reformation is possible. Maybe if multiple stellar fighters work in unison, each carrying a piece of my flesh, and attempt destroying it together, maybe then, I’ll be in trouble.’
’In the end though, do you even know that I’m still alive?’
’That the corpse lying helplessly with an open skull and spilt brain matter tainting the earth, is slowly but surely returning to life?’
’Tsk, tsk, tsk. Though I am the one who incurred this hate you feel, in the end, you must die. But now, I’ll return to you also bearing hate, and I’ll make sure, I’ll make sure of it, that your death, that it is sothing beyond just pain, but instead, a terrifying end, a despairing death.’
’Anon, I’ll give you a really dark fate, and it’s your fault, all your fault.’
In this dark world, Bolan’s thoughts, swirling around like a swarm of flies, finally cald. There was silence and solitude for a while.
The calm before the storm per se.
’Ah-!’
It was sudden.
An expression of pain.
He couldn’t really groan aloud due to his situation, but he expressed it internally.
’Huh?’
In his current state, he felt pain.
Bolan was slightly perplexed.
’Ahh-!’
It happened again.
Once more, a sudden stinging pain assaulted his mind.
’Are my senses returning?’
Though his thoughts held so truth, there was naturally more to it.
The truth of what was happening, what he was suffering, evidently, it was much, much darker.
It was just like he said.
But it was also just like Seth said.
Bolan had beco hard to kill, very much so.
But there were still many ways to counter this.
How one went about finding a way was truthfully based on their psyche.
For Anon, there was an obvious way to go about this.
And although this may appear extre in the eyes of others, Anon wasn’t soone that was considerate to the eyes of other individuals.
So, as Bolan’s senses began returning to him, he would beco one of the first persons on planet Earth to experience Anon’s inconsideration.
’This...’ Seth’s eyes were open wide as he observed the situation from the shadows. He was both disbelieving and stunned speechless for a short ti.
’Can hate affect humans this much?’ Seth pondered inwardly, ’Still, this goes further than hate, right?’
Unknowingly, Seth’s heart began thumping slightly more rapidly.
Unknowingly, Bolan’s heart began thumping slightly more rapidly.
As his senses slowly returned, from the pain, he could faintly hear peculiar sounds.
Soon after, there was a strange scent that wafted the air, and in his mouth, he could taste his own blood. As his eyelids opened, his vision was incredibly hazy, so much so, he couldn’t make out what was less than a ter in front of him.
Blinking a few tis, what he saw was Anon.
A smiling Anon.
An Anon that showed emotion even in his eyes.
Blood dripped from Anon’s hands, staining his fingers, and yet, he used his slightly long, sharp, and dirty nails to scrape his teeth.
But this wasn’t an issue to Anon, anyways, his teeth were also stained with blood.
This was naturally not his own blood, and stuck between his teeth, evidently, one could already guess sowhat accurately.
Bolan’s right palm overlapped his left, and his arms were forced to be raised over his head. Piercing his palms was one of the two pieces of Anon’s staff as it went further, embedding into a tree trunk.
The second piece of Anon’s broken staff tore apart Bolan’s feet and was driven deep into the tree too.
"Crucified on a tree." In one of Anon’s hands was Bolan’s broken blade dripping with blood.
Using it, he traced over Bolan’s skin, and the gaping wounds across his abdon and chest.
"Missing organs yet still clinging to life." Anon mumbled this whilst glancing at the earth beneath his feet.
Pieces of flesh, though very fine and minute, were picked up by his vision. They squird endlessly, making their way towards Bolan, and attaching themselves to him. Slowly but surely, Bolan’s skull and brain were reforming.
"Yes, reforming is easier than recreating. But can you reform without your principle linking your flesh?" Anon mused to himself before smirking and looking into Bolan’s dark eyes, "You know, with just a look, Seth can kill mortals. He can, if he so wills, command their blood to solidify into hundreds and thousands of swords and spears, ending their lives."
"But because of our principles canceling each other’s, that command he has over mortal lives does not transmit to the lives of stellar fighters."
"Similarly, with your flesh inside my body, and the two principles canceling each other, now I ask, dear Bolan, can you magnificently reform your flesh? Or do you now need to recreate it?"
Anon’s words seeped into Bolan’s mind, sending chills into the depths of his consciousness.
Wickedness?
Cruelty?
No, absolutely not.
This...
It had gone above and beyond.
’Monster...’ Bolan’s eyes held no life in them.
Though he had not died, he was no different than dead.
’Nonhuman!’ Seth’s crimson orbs lit up with life.
Though he was living before, it almost appeared as if Seth had only now co to life.
Anon gently pressed the broken blade against Bolan’s chest.
Then, he raised his hand, knocking the blade on Bolan’s skull.
He couldn’t help but chuckle, "Hehe."
Anon’s lips sealed shut.
"Heh!"
His figure curled up whilst he visibly trembled.
"Hehehehe!"
Anon’s eyes smiled.
"Hahahahaha!"
Anon’s grin reached his ears.
"Hahaha... Hahaha... Hahaha..."
In fact, Anon’s canines were quite long and sharp themselves.
They did not lose out to Seth’s.
Though his skin and teeth were tainted by blood, and though the situation may appear heavy, Anon himself felt refreshed, purified even.
The heaviness weighing down his shoulders, and the stuffiness filling his chest, they were gone completely.
Catching himself, his gaze shifted towards the trembling Bolan bound to a tree.
Fixating on Bolan’s chest, Anon’s eyes trailed.
Anon then gazed intently at Bolan’s head.
"Rather than reform, I wish to see if mastery over the flesh can recreate. Don’t disappoint , dear Bolan. My hatred might have dispersed, but anger still clouds my judgent."
Anon chortled heartily.
