Evening.

The setting sun resembled blood, and the waning moon seed to hide.

The ancestral land of the Blood Clan!

The sky was ominously overcast, the trees aged and decayed. A few black crows perched on the branches screeched in harsh, grating cries.

Ye Wudao and his party arrived here.

"Is this really the ancestral land of the Blood Clan?" Ye Wudao asked curiously, surveying the surroundings.

"That’s right! The ancestral land was once the cradle of the Blood Clan’s rise. Generations of Blood Clan emperors hailed from this place, countless great figures erged—it was truly prosperous! But a hundred years ago, calamity struck the ancestral land. The clan splintered and ultimately declined, fading into obscurity," Will explained, visibly sorrowful.

"From a feng shui perspective, this location is quite exceptional, though the yin energy here is excessively heavy," Dugu Zhan remarked.

"Big Brother, you understand feng shui?" Ye Wudao asked in surprise.

"Haha, Third Brother, have you forgotten I ca from the Demon Sect? I’m sowhat familiar with these unconventional practices!" Dugu Zhan spoke as he raised an ancestral bronze compass.

"Oh wow, Big Brother is a real pro! He even brought a compass!" Will exclaid.

Dugu Zhan held up the bronze compass. The needle frantically twitched and swung upon its surface.

"The yin energy is extraordinarily dense, a hundredfold stronger than anything I’ve encountered before..." Dugu Zhan’s eyes grew grim. As the needle locked onto a direction, he said, "That way, toward the west!"

"Move out!" Ye Wudao commanded.

...

"Found it. There’s a tomb entrance ahead, and it’s covered in talismans..." Long Mie pointed at the structure curiously.

"Wait, aren’t these Daoist talismans?" Ye Wudao scrutinized one talisman intently, certain it was unmistakably of Daoist origin.

"What now? I swear this place feels haunted—it’s downright sinister!" Long Mie remarked uneasily.

"Senior Long Mie, weren’t you strutting so boldly just earlier? What, scared now?" Will teased, laughing.

"Cut the crap!" Long Mie cursed.

"Haha, let’s go in," Ye Wudao chuckled softly, pressing open the tomb entrance. Instantly, an aura of ancient decay, chilling malevolence, and desolation swept toward them.

"Everyone, stay alert," Ye Wudao reminded.

Before them lay a passage descending into the earth.

"I can’t see anything..." several party mbers remarked.

"What’s to fear?" Long Mie pulled out seven or eight luminous pearls from his belongings, saying, "These are Dragon Clan pearls over a century old—their brightness is unmatched!"

Holding the pearls, the once dim underground corridor radiated bright as daylight!

Black moss spread across the ground, lifeless and withered. Around them, the passage was fragnted with broken walls and a pervasive atmosphere of decay.

"There seems to be a palace deeper inside!" Will, sharp-eyed, pointed out what lay ahead.

The group advanced cautiously, luminous pearls in hand, steadily closing the distance.

anwhile...

Deep within the underground palace.

Bound by dozens of chains was a tall man with jet-black hair, his body covered in scars. Suddenly, his sinister eyes snapped open. On his savage and terrifying face appeared an exhilarated grin: "The scent of living beings—I can feel it! Haha, I, Heavenly Ghost Old Demon, have finally broken free of this wretched seal and returned to the world!"

With that, his body erupted in an overwhelming surge of power, struggling mighty against the chains restraining him.

In an instant, every link of the chains shattered one by one.

The aura surrounding Heavenly Ghost Old Demon surged as his strength rapidly restored!

True Pill stage!

Spirit Transformation stage!

Unity Realm stage!

Early Divine Ability stage!

Mid Divine Ability stage!

Finally, Heavenly Ghost Old Demon’s power recovered to the mid Divine Ability stage!

Reveling in the imnse force now coursing through him, he felt as though he could effortlessly obliterate anything with a re wave of his hand.

"Hahaha, my power has fully returned!" Heavenly Ghost Old Demon grinned in satisfaction at the broken chains surrounding him. With a hateful gaze, he sneered, "Blood Clan, your days are numbered!"

Heavenly Ghost Old Demon marveled at this body he possessed: formidable, flawless, the longer he examined it, the more pleased he beca.

But then, unexpectedly, a peculiar sensation caught his attention.

"Hm, a group of Unity Realm youths... interesting," the corners of Heavenly Ghost Old Demon’s lips curled into a hideous smirk. "Since you insignificant fools have unsealed the king, why not stay and play with for a while!"

As he spoke, he suddenly extended a pitch-black hand marked with arcane, eerie patterns.

The black hand touched the ground, triggering a burst of crimson light!

"My most loyal ghost servants, awaken! Your master has returned—now it’s your ti to rise!"

With those words...

From within the crimson light appeared four towering figures clad in armor, wielding blades and swords. Their forms radiated ghostly energy and fathomless malice—all were at the peak of Unity Realm.

"Ghost servants salute the master!"

All four ghost servants knelt on one knee, showing utmost respect.

Heavenly Ghost Old Demon smiled in satisfaction: "Ghost servants, go forth! Slay the intruders in the palace and strip them of their powers!"

With chilling gazes filled with murderous intent, the ghost servants roared in unison, "Yes!"

...

anwhile, Ye Wudao and his party, having ventured deeper into the underground palace, continued advancing.

"This palace is enormous!"

"Indeed. It’s been over an hour, and there’s still no end in sight!" Long Mie grumbled as the others chid in frustration.

"Sothing’s wrong—sothing terrible is approaching! The compass needle is going berserk!" Dugu Zhan exclaid, holding up his bronze compass, where the needle spasd wildly.

"Where is it?" the group asked collectively.

Boom!

Boom! Boom!

Ominous, heavy footsteps echoed as four nacing figures towered into their view. Clad in dark armor and wielding broadswords, they radiated chilling murderous intent and confronted Ye Wudao’s party.

"Those who disturb the master shall be executed without rcy!" the ghost servants declared.

"Holy—there are people here!" Will was stunned.

"Allow !" Long Mie roared, throwing a fierce punch that erupted in radiant energy.

Bang!

Long Mie’s fist pierced cleanly through a ghost servant’s chest, yet the servant remained unscathed.

"How... how is this possible?" Long Mie barely had ti to react before one of the ghost servants swung its massive sword, striking Long Mie heavily.

Bam!

Long Mie staggered backward, nearly losing his balance.

"Senior Long Mie, are you alright?"

"Are you hurt?" Dugu Zhan, Will, and the others asked with concern.

"I’m fine. What manner of creatures are these—so bizarre! My attack literally passed through its body—this is insane..." Long Mie groaned, his voice tinged with frustration.

Ye Wudao’s sharp gaze hardened: "They are not human..."
