Late that night, in a luxurious residential area on the outskirts of the city, "tap," Dylan landed on the roof of a lavish house that looked like a rich nobleman’s mansion. He walked slowly along the rooftop, then descended to the third-floor balcony with a sorsault and disappeared.

He opened the balcony door, went inside, and disabled all the alarms in the house using his skill. When he reached the third-floor living room, he saw two n who appeared to be guards relaxing on a sofa, watching television.

Dylan stood behind the sofa, then split himself into two people using his Body Double skill. "Kreek," he quickly snapped the necks of the two guards without making a sound, then let them sit as they were before. After that, he followed the holographic map downwards, which showed the location of the Red Blood.

While descending, Dylan beca one person again, then glanced to the side. He saw Paul, the detective ghost, floating beside him, arms crossed over his chest, staring at him.

"Stop staring at ," Dylan muttered to Paul.

But Paul continued to stare at Dylan with an angry look and kept his arms folded. Dylan sighed, then continued his steps down, following the dot on the map. After arriving in front of a room located right at the end of the corridor and having double doors, Dylan used his All Seeing Eye to see through it.

When he was sure there was no one inside, he opened the door and entered. He calmly turned on the light, and only then did he realize who owned the mansion after seeing a photo on the wall.

"Hoo... so this house belongs to Ellie’s mom," Dylan thought.

[That is correct, sir.]

"Alright, let’s go get the jewel," Dylan replied.

He calmly walked behind Layla’s desk, then imdiately opened the second drawer on the side. He saw a ring box and picked it up. He opened the box and saw a beautiful ring adorned with a blazing, blood-red jewel. Dylan showed the ring to Paul, who was standing next to him.

This ti, Paul’s face didn’t look angry anymore, but he looked neutral. Paul nodded, which ant the jewel he was looking for was the one on the ring Dylan was holding.

"Okay, let’s get out of here," Dylan muttered.

Dylan walked back to the exit door, but just as his hand reached for the doorknob, "klek," the door opened, and Layla, wearing a bathrobe, walked in. Layla looked surprised to see the light on in her study. Then she looked around and walked further into the room toward her desk.

Dylan turned around and was about to leave, but suddenly "teet...teet...teet," the door in front of him slamd shut, and a steel door dropped from above. Dylan turned back. It turned out Layla, seeing her drawer empty, imdiately hit the alarm button under her desk.

Then Dylan looked around. All the windows in Layla’s study were covered with steel shutters that closed at the sa ti the loud alarm sounded.

"Whoa... are we trapped? I can teleport straight to Aaron," Dylan muttered.

[Don’t, sir. Look at Paul.]

Dylan looked at Paul beside him. He was imdiately startled because Paul looked so hateful and vengeful toward Layla that his face was terrifying. It seed he knew who had killed him, and it was obvious from his expression that he wanted revenge on Layla. Dylan, who had previously intended to teleport back ho where Aaron was, abandoned his plan.

Finally, Dylan used his Body Double skill again, then changed his clone into Paul using his Masquerade skill. Paul, seeing himself, was shocked and stared at Dylan.

"Enter my body and do what you have to do," Dylan said.

Paul seed very confused by Dylan’s words. His eyes blinked as he looked at Dylan, then at Dylan’s body double, who now looked exactly like him. After that, he nodded and imdiately entered the body double. Paul turned to look at Layla, who was sitting behind her desk with a pistol lying on top of it.

"Duk," Dylan tapped Paul’s back to urge him forward to do what he had to do. Paul briefly turned to look at Dylan, then smiled. After that, with a determined gaze, he stepped toward Layla and revealed himself. "Brak," Layla, seeing Paul appear in front of her, imdiately stood up and pointed her pistol at Paul.

"You... the detective from that ti... you should be dead, right? My people killed you," Layla said, shocked.

"Yes, that’s right. You didn’t kill because I knew you stole the ring. You killed because I knew you ordered the attack on the school that day, didn’t you?" Paul replied, walking closer.

"B-Back off! This isn’t possible," Layla said, aiming her pistol.

"My investigation led to a businessman nad Vincent who was involved with you, a mafia boss nad Hans, a businessman nad Karl, and an investor nad Mark. You all ca to the school to witness your people who intended to slaughter the innocent students, and because I knew who you were, you killed . How despicable," Paul muttered, enraged.

"Back off!" Layla scread.

"Blam... blam... blam," Layla shot Paul, who flinched from the bullets, but his steps were steady, and he was getting closer to Layla, making Layla terrified and pale-faced. Layla scread. She kept shooting, emptying her pistol, but Paul, despite being shot, kept walking forward, his body riddled with bloody, grueso holes like a zombie. Finally, Layla threw her pistol at Paul’s face, then ran toward the steel-covered window.

"Hey... sobody... get to my room now... help !" Layla scread through the gap in the window.

"Blam," Paul’s blood-soaked hand suddenly slamd against the steel shutter right next to Layla’s head. Layla imdiately turned and leaned against the window, her face filled with terror. Paul in front of her now truly looked like an enraged, vengeful spirit who couldn’t be reasoned with or negotiated with.

"N-No, please let go," Layla said, terrified.

"Let you go? Don’t you know what you did? I can no longer et my family, I can no longer see my wife and son. I’m separated from them because of you... and you ask to let you go?" Paul asked with a calm but very deep and heavy voice.

"Y-Yes, I’ll apologize to them... please don’t kill ... you’re a cop, right? A cop has to protect people," Layla replied, trembling and forcing a laugh, though her mouth was shaking.

"Hmm, that’s true, I am a cop. But now I am no longer a cop, but an exterminator of people like you," Paul said with a wide, terrifying smile.

Before Layla could react, Paul’s hand had seized her neck and lifted her body. Layla’s two hands imdiately gripped Paul’s arm, trying to break his hold, and she struggled violently. But Paul tightened his grip, now using both hands and squeezing harder than before.

Finally, Layla went limp and weakened, then "krek," Paul snapped her neck. Layla’s body fell lifeless to the ground. Paul turned, then walked toward Dylan, who was standing in front of the door and leaning against it.

"Thank you for giving a chance for revenge. I was wrong about you. Forgive ," Paul said.

"It’s okay, I don’t mind," Dylan replied, smiling.

[Alright, now Paul will co ho with us.]

"Huh... really?" Dylan asked.

"I promised Master KATS that if you helped and settled my score, I would join you," Paul answered.

"Ugh... but please don’t look so scary, or they’ll all pass out again," Dylan muttered.

[Don’t worry, sir. I have chosen a suitable form for him.]

"What?" Dylan asked.

[You will see.]

"Alright, I’m going to teleport ho now," Dylan said.

[Very well, sir.]

Dylan instantly vanished using his Teleport skill and "duk," appeared in Aaron’s room in the bunker. Aaron, who woke up hearing sothing drop, turned on the lamp next to his bed.

"Whoaaaaah," He imdiately gasped in shock, seeing Dylan standing next to him with Paul, who looked like a zombie. His heart pounded rapidly, and his face instantly turned pale.

"B-Bro? What the heck? What if I died from a heart attack?" Aaron scread.

"Haha... sorry, I didn’t know who else to teleport to," Dylan replied.

"You have your four wives and Clara! Why ?" Aaron retorted.

"You’re a man, and you’re not scared of him," Dylan replied, pointing to Paul with his thumb.

"You’re seriously too much, Bro," Aaron replied, rubbing his face.

"Sorry... now go back to sleep. I’m heading out," Dylan said.

"Hah... easy for you to say! I’m wide awake now, and after seeing that creature, you think I can just go back to sleep? You are seriously the worst, Bro, I swear," Aaron replied, fuming at Dylan.

Dylan left the room. After making sure Dylan was really gone, Aaron threw back his blanket and looked at Clara, who was curled up and wearing only underwear, hiding under Aaron’s blanket.

"You have to stay hidden, if my brother finds out, it could be bad," Aaron whispered.

"But I saw the zombie just now, too. I’m scared," Clara whispered back.

"Oh man... this is a ss," Aaron replied.
