More than a confession, it sounded like a whisper.

However, the words were heard audibly, leaving Ishikawa dumbfounded.

For a brief mont, an eerie, awkward silence engulfed the surroundings. The only sound heard was the rhythmic sound of the crashing waves and the rustling of the wind.

Ishikawa stared dumbfoundedly at Hiro.

Was he serious? Did he an it?

The more she stared at him, the more she beca convinced he ant those words. The person whom she had been wanting to impress was confessing right now.

Hiro loved her, too.

The realization struck like lightning, shaking her to the core.

Her heart started to race, her pulse quickening. It didn't take long for her porcelain white cheeks to turn red. Her ears turned red, too.

Her heart swelled with excitent.

But at the sa ti, she felt overwheld. What was happening right now? This mont felt extrely surreal.

"What... What?" She shuddered in embarrassnt.

Hiro stared straight at her; he looked dead-serious. Even if there was a possibility of him getting rejected, Hiro didn't want to hold back.

"I love you," Hiro confessed.

Hearing the confession again, she beca further convinced.

Inside, it felt like the angels from heaven were singing lodious chis. Yet, from the outside, she remained stunned.

While she kept staring at him with a dazed gaze, Hiro patiently awaited her response. The longer she took to respond, the more anxious he felt.

He feared rejection. He didn't want to lose her.

Even though his emotions were in turmoil, he kept himself composed.

For so reason, her eyes started to moisten. This made him even more anxious. Hiro couldn't help but feel worried about the moisture in her eyes.

The tears in her eyes panicked him.

The fear of rejection gnawed at him.

It seed like he wouldn't be able to get her in this life.

Then, suddenly, she bead a warm smile and said, "What... took you so long?"

"Huh?" Hiro felt perplexed.

What did she an? Why was she smiling? Is it a good on?

"I love you, too," she continued.

Hearing her response, Hiro's eyes dilated. It appears like he was overthinking. Finally, he felt relieved. The fear of uncertainty that was gnawing at him disappeared.

For so inexplicable reason, even the darkness felt soothing. Continue your adventure at My Virtual Library Empire

Instinctively, he reached out for her. Then he pulled her closer and wrapped his arms around her. Hiro couldn't restrain this feeling of happiness that was rampaging inside him.

The sudden pull startled Ishikawa.

However, she felt warm to be in his embrace. The coziness ward her heart, and she couldn't help but enjoy this mont.

Underneath the starry sky, the two held each other after confessing their feeling for the first ti.

It had been quite so ti since Shun had been presented with the verdict to leave the team. During this ti, he had explored his options thoroughly.

"No, it's not good for your image."

A rather hoarse voice tinged with anger echoed.

"Why are you opting for a second-division team when you've got offers from teams in the first division? I can't agree with your decision."

A man who looked to be in his mid-forties slamd the bundle of paper he held onto the table. He had black pupils, a long nose, and a chiseled face. Patches of uneven beard frad his jaw, giving him a slightly rugged appearance as though he never had the ti— or the patience— for a clean shave.

Before him, Shun sat on a couch with a rather complicated look on his face.

"Why are you so stubborn?" The man grunted.

"I've made up my mind this ti. I'm going to accept their offer," Shun said firmly.

The more he looked at Shun, the more irritated the man felt. He couldn't bring himself to look into those unfazed gazes of Shun any further.

He was frustrated at his stubbornness.

Frustrated, he averted his gaze away from him. Though Shun was adamant about his decision, he didn't want to quit on him.

He was aware of his predicant.

However, the situation wasn't too dire for him to stoop so low. There were much better offers on the table. Yet, his client kept on insisting on demoting to a low-level club.

Demotion ant a significant reduction in the salary. It also ant less exposure.

Heaving a deep sigh, he turned to face Shun again.

"Listen, Shun. I understand your desire to improve. But you've got much better offers. So, why do you keep insisting on demoting?" Takeda tried to persuade Shun.

"You've got offers from Burnley, Granada, and FC Augsburg. Each of the offers from these teams is far better."

"Sure, the wage they're providing is great. But what about other conditions?" Shun retaliated.

"You know it well, too, don't you? They only want a backup keeper," Shun stared directly at him, his gaze unfazed.

Takeda felt slightly uncomfortable looking into his gaze. He flinched a bit.

Shun was telling the truth. However, starting from the second division ant starting again from the bottom. Hence, he didn't want that to happen.

"But you know what you'd be losing, don't you?" Takeda mumbled, his voice growing softer.

Shun was well aware of the difficulties. But he didn't want to run again. He didn't want to chase fa instead of his dreams.

He knew where he stood at the mont.

He might be able to perform decently if he signed for those clubs. However, he wouldn't be able to grow. More than fa, he wanted to chase growth right now.

One failure was enough, and he had learned his lesson.

This ti, even if it ant starting from scratch, he wouldn't hesitate.

Shun nodded firmly without uttering a word.

Takeda couldn't only sigh in helplessness. He could only bend as per his will. He knew that he wouldn't be able to persuade him.

"Sigh~"

"It'd have been great if those clubs could loan you. But they're in dire need of a backup keeper."

Mumbling such, he turned to look at the table.

"Espanyol, huh? They're a strong team, but they only want to sign him to replace their injured keeper. At most, he'll have five or six months to prove himself."
