As the sleek black McLaren 720 was unveiled, a collective hush fell over the room, followed by an appreciative murmur from the gathered crowd.
The soft overhead lights reflected off the car's obsidian-like surface, highlighting its aerodynamic curves, aggressive stance, and the unmistakable McLaren badge gleaming on the hood.
Hiro's breath hitched. His eyes widened, and for a fleeting mont, he wasn't sure if he had heard correctly. Was this really his? Disbelief clouded his vision as he struggled to process the announcent.
Hiro felt his pulse quicken as he stared at the car.
The McLaren 720 sat there like a beast waiting to be unleashed-its sculpted carbon fiber body exuded both elegance and raw aggression.
The distinctive dihedral doors were closed for now, but Hiro knew that when they swung open, it would be like the wings of a predator stretching before a hunt. The low, nacing front end, with its signature LED headlights resembling the piercing gaze of a falcon, made it look ready to devour the roads at a mont's notice.
Hiro couldn't take his eyes away. While the murmurs around him grew, he stood there staring at the vehicle. The more he looked, the more wonderful he found the car.
"This... this is for ?" Hiro mumbled, his voice carrying a mix of awe and disbelief.
The CEO chuckled, nodding. "Of course. Consider it our way of showing appreciation for your dedication to the brand. And also..." He gave Hiro a knowing look. "A little sothing to match your playing style-fast, precise, and impossible to stop once in motion."
"You're right. It does match Hiro's style of play."
A collective nod of appreciation erged within the crowd.
Simultaneously, laughter rippled through the room. Hiro, however, barely registered it. He couldn't be bothered about the buzz echoing through the room. He had his gaze locked on the car.
Unbothered by the buzz, Hiro slowly stepped forward.
He then hesitantly ran his fingers across the car. His fingers gently ran across the flawless black surface. He couldn't resist the urge to caress the car for so reason.
As he reached out and touched the hood, the coolness of the carbon fiber sent a shiver down his spine. Hiro felt a chilling sensation running across his body.
His fingers glided smoothly.
At that mont, Hiro felt sothing strange-an odd mix of exhilaration and sentintality. Growing up, Hiro had never been the type to obsess over material possessions.
He had never imagined himself driving a supercar, nor had he let himself dream of such luxuries. Every bit of his focus had always been on football, on pushing himself to be the best.
Even though he was fond of cars, he viewed material possessions as nothing more than distractions hindering him from achieving his goals.
Thus even though he could afford it, he didn't buy one until now.
Yet now, standing before the roaring embodint of speed and ambition, a realization hit him.
This wasn't just a car.
It was a symbol- a testant to how far he had co.
Taking a deep breath, Hiro turned back to the CEO and bowed slightly, gratitude evident in his eyes. "Thank you. This ans more to than I can put into words.
The CEO smiled warmly. "Then don't say anything. Just enjoy it. And maybe, when you drive it for the first ti, you'll feel the sa rush you bring to the pitch."
Hiro smirked, running a hand along the curve of the car's side.
"Then it'll have to wait," Hiro said. "Until I get my driving license." He added.
The old man upon hearing Hiro's words couldn't help but stare at Hiro dumbfoundedly. He didn't know Hiro hadn't taken his driving test.
He stared blankly at Hiro.
"You... haven't taken the driving test?" he asked, his tone sounding awkward.
Hiro turned to look at him.
"Ah... You didn't know?" Hiro asked nonchalantly. Hiro expected him to know about it. But perhaps, he wasn't aware of it.
The CEO broke into a nervous laugh. "Hahaha... I'm sure it won't be long before you get your license."
Hiro nodded. Well, he wasn't wrong about it. After all, he had already learned to drive. So, he believed it wouldn't be long before he got his hand on the license.
He had already been planning on taking the test.
But now that he received such a wonderful gift it quickened his plans. However, until then, he would have to depend on Pablo.
Pablo had been staring at the car since the announcent.
He was as much of an enthusiast as Hiro.
'You're in luck, Pablo.' Hiro could see through Pablo's excitent. He could tell that he was looking forward to riding this beast.
Hiro averted his gaze from Pablo. He then turned to look at the car.
'Well, I'm excited too.' Hiro couldn't help but smile. He had been looking forward to owning one sportscar. But now, he owned one without spending a penny, he couldn't be more excited
about it.
Later, he posed for photos. The contract renewal was also revealed. Although most of the details of the contract were kept secret.
For the entirety of the event, Hiro was sward.
The event itself was exhausting. eting people, posing for photos, conversing with unfamiliar people, and also answering questions.
Thankfully, he didn't have any matches for the next few days.
After the event, Pablo took him ho. Hiro had been looking forward to riding the newly gifted car. Though he couldn't convince Pablo to let him drive, he enjoyed the drive
nonetheless.
Hiro arrived ho quite late in the evening.
The event had left him drained. Imdiately, as soon as he arrived ho, Hiro got changed
and slept. He couldn't be bothered anymore.
The entire evening he spent sleeping.
Even Hiro hadn't expected him to be this tired.
The news of him receiving such a luxurious car as a gift made it to the headlines of the
newspaper tomorrow. People were talking about the gesture of the brand all around.
The reaction, however, was rather mixed with most of them being positive.
Yet still, so people couldn't help but lant the gesture.
