Pablo felt speechless when Hiro responded. He turned to look in the rearview mirror, trying to glimpse Hiro's expression.
Hiro sat comfortably in the back seat, his face devoid of expression.
The solemn expression on Hiro's face led him to the conclusion that he was being serious. This brought a smile on Pablo's face and he couldn't help but feel impressed.
'Is he confident or overconfident?'
Though Pablo was impressed by the attitude with which Hiro carried, he couldn't tell whether Hiro was confident or overconfident.
Pablo retracted his gaze and focused on the road ahead, 'Guess, only ti will tell.'
After that, it beca silent for a while. Hiro could hear the constant buzz of the running vehicle, and the horns ringing outside.
He relaxed and looked outside the window. The streets and scene outside fascinated him, and he got imrsed in the scene outside.
They passed by a lot of corners and soon the sight of the Atletico stadium ca to their sight. Though Hiro had seen it on the screen before, it was his first ti seeing it in person.
Upon catching the glimpse of the Atletico Stadium, Hiro's eyes dilated and he leaned closer to the window to get a better view of the stadium.
The stadium stood tall, like a giant colosseum, its brilliance unrivaled.
Though they were headed to the training ground, they had to pass through the stadium as well.
For a mont, the sight of the grand stadium made him hold his breath. The colossal structure was simply breathtaking to look at.
While Hiro was imrsed in the sightseeing, Pablo had been stealing glances at him.
'So, you could make such expressions too?' Pablo couldn't help but grin upon noticing the glistening eyes of Hiro.
Soon, the car pulled over to the training ground, the sound of the exhaust reverberating. The roads weren't bumpy and Pablo himself was a great driver. So, Hiro comfortably arrived at the training ground without any complications.
Stepping out of the car, Hiro took a one-over at the facility before him.
The Atletico training facility sprawled out before him in impressive grandeur. Nestled within lush green landscapes, the state-of-the-art facility shimred under the sun. Modern glass- fronted buildings reflected the light, giving the structure an almost futuristic vibe.
Fields of perfectly manicured grass stretched endlessly, their vivid green contrasting against the deep red of Atletico's emblem etched onto the main building's façade.
Near the entrance, rows of high-end equipnt were visible through wide glass windows, hinting at the gym's cutting-edge capabilities.
However, the facility was rather quiet.
Compared to the modest facility he had trained before, it was like an entirely different world. The sheer scale of Atletico's infrastructure was humbling.
'So this is where Diego Forlan, Fernando Torres, Antoine Griezmann, and many more trained huh?' Hiro felt his pulse quickening as he imagined the legends who had trained here before him.
"Magnificent, isn't it?" he said with a smile, gesturing toward the facility, interrupting his thoughts. "This place is designed to bring out the best in every player."
Hiro nodded. He couldn't help but agree. He had heard that the training facilities in Europe were great.
The two of them then headed inside.
The air inside the facility felt freshly polished, and the decorations were immaculate. High ceilings and clean white walls gave the interiors a sense of openness, while Atletico's red- and-white accents were a constant reminder of the club's identity.
The walls were adorned with images of the team's greatest monts-Sione lifting the La Liga trophy, historic victories, and photos of iconic players.
'If the training facility is already this great then how would the stadium look like inside?' Hiro couldn't help but wonder.
He was already marveling at the interior of the facility. The interior of the facility didn't appear any less than the interior of Kawasaki's trophy cabinet.
Pablo guided him inside, briefing him on the place. Hiro followed him obediently without asking many questions.
Soon, the two ca across a door with a sign that read, "Manager's Office".
From the sign alone, Hiro could tell that they had arrived before Sione's office.
Standing before the door, Hiro started feeling nervous for so reason. He hadn't felt like this before. However, suddenly, he could sense an eerie sensation coursing in his veins. He felt his feet turn numb and his heart palpitated.
Well, this was the first ti, he was eting Sione in person.
So, it was natural for him to feel that way. After all, that man wasn't any ordinary man. He was one of the most renowned managers in the world.
Though he could roughly figure out Sione's personality from the conversation they had, he couldn't tell if he'd be the sa person in real too.
The sense of uncertainty gnawed at him and Hiro couldn't help but feel uncomfortable. However, he would have to face the man whether he liked it or not. So, having no option, Hiro inhaled deeply and tried to calm himself.
He could feel the pressure building around him. For so, he felt as if the air around him had got denser and it made it even more difficult for him to approach the door.
Knock! Knock!
While Hiro prepared himself to face Sione, Pablo knocked on the door. The thudding sound of the door felt more distinct than anything he had before.
Outside the room, the two stayed there in the hallway, awaiting Sione's response.
"Co in," a voice deep and gruff echoed from inside the room.
The familiar voice struck a sense of nostalgia in Hiro and he couldn't help but straighten his
back and puff his chest.
Pablo gently twisted the doorknob and pushed the door open.
The door creaked open and a bright light fell on him. The blinding light irritated his eyes and
Hiro squinched.
Then as he opened his eyes, the figure of Sione ca to his sight. The immaculate office inside faded into the background as his eyes converged on Sione.
With short dark hair and a distinct appearance, Sione was perched on his seat. He was dressed in black from head to toe.
