September 1st, Phoenix Nest Training Ground.

As the final round of the Cultivation Master competition, today's Phoenix Nest was extraordinarily lively.

Many who typically wouldn't spend the money on a ticket ca along today.

Among them was a certain street-wise character Lu Wu encountered at the train station.

This old street-wise character had a wallet tucked under his armpit, with half a pack of cigarettes poking out, swaying as he walked, greeting every vaguely familiar face with a "little bro" here and a "good big bro" there.

Anyone he recognized even slightly, he'd suggest they ntion his na when buying a ticket.

The way he carried himself, you'd think he owned the Phoenix Nest himself.

But after shouting for a while, all his "little bros" went to officially buy tickets, and he alone sneaked off to buy one from a scalper.

A standing-room ticket, at that!

He had no choice—seated tickets were too expensive, out of his financial reach.

In fact, if it weren't for such a grand event that he'd be embarrassed to et his peers without attending, he wouldn't even splurge on a standing ticket.

"Hope I don't run into anyone I know!"

If he bumped into an acquaintance in the standing area, it would be a huge embarrassnt.

Then he thought, who are my friends anyway?

All big shots, why would they be in the standing area?

Definitely, no chance of running into any acquaintances!

Well, the mont he walked in—goodness —the standing area was sparsely populated, but they were all his "good big bros."

The scene beca sowhat awkward for a mont.

But the awkwardness was quickly overshadowed by the lively banter of the big bro gang.

"Hey, what brings you here?"

"Just strolling around!"

"Want to share a cig? This is the only kind I smoke, anything else makes cough!"

And as he was bragging and joking with a bunch of "good big bros," the old street-wise character suddenly widened his eyes: "Isn't that my little bro?"

"Which one is your little bro?"

"That one, that one, there, in the middle, he just went backstage."

Pointing excitedly at the corridor, the street-wise character exclaid, "I'm telling you, that really is my little bro. I was chatting with him just a few days ago."

No one believed his claims, but nobody contradicted him either.

Who doesn't know how to brag?

Everyone there was good at it, and soon they were all blowing hot air.

"Oh, your little bro is part of the crew? What's his na? I'll ask my big bro to give him a leg up so day!"

"Yeah, my big bro runs this area, his word is law!"

This made the street-wise character feel a bit uneasy. This ti he hadn't lied at all; that really was his little bro, he'd spoken with him before.

But then he thought.

His little bro was probably just an ordinary worker, it wouldn't add much to his own prestige, so he didn't dwell on it.

Turning his head away from that matter, he happily joined in the boasting.

The back row of the standing area was happily engaging in tall tales.

Similarly, the front row of the spectators' section was also happily full of banter.

Only the participants differed in their bragging.

And if one were to say who was the most eye-catching among the front row of the spectator's section, it had to be Gutian.

Knowing that Lu Wu was going to be a judge, he had his sickbed moved right down to the spectator's area.

He wasn't about to miss the chance to watch his son trounce Lu Wu.

So, despite being severely injured, he insisted on coming, and the injuries didn't stop him from boasting one bit.

His arrival as an injured spectator drew the circle's big shots to gawk at him.

A small part were genuinely concerned, but the majority ca to see him made a laughingstock.

But Gutian didn't care in the slightest.

Let them laugh; he was laughing too.

Whoever ca up to him, he always had the sa response.

"My son Zhen Tian has the talents of a Grandmaster!"

In essence, it boiled down to one sentence, I take the beating, I lose face, but I have a good son.

All you lowlifes and your unworthy descendants can only be suppressed by my son. The next Phoenix Nest Training Ground shall be renad Zhen Tian Training Ground.

And the forthcoming era will be known as the Era of Zhen Tian.

His son from Gutian will dominate an entire era.

You could say, this guy showed off his son to the extre.

Many who ca for a laugh couldn't tolerate his smugness and left after a few words.

Especially those with juniors in the finals.

They all hoped their descendants would show so spirit and suppress Guzhentian.

But they also knew in their hearts that among the young people of this generation, truly no one could suppress Guzhentian.

If one really had to na soone, Lu Wu might be a candidate.

After all, no matter how one put it, Lu Wu was currently the youngest Master Level Cultivation Master, at least a title above Guzhentian.

And he had obtained his master certificate despite the difficulties posed by Gutian.

Gutian had struggled so much, not only failing to get the certificate but also ending up in such a sorry state.

If Lu Wu could have participated in the competition, perhaps there might have been hope to suppress Guzhentian.

But unfortunately, Lu Wu was already a master and could not participate in such a competition.

This left many people greatly regretful, including Wang Jun.

"Alas, I originally thought he could shine in the Cultivation Master Championship, but who knew he shone too brightly and missed this competition. If he could've participated, today's match would have been much more exciting."

And amidst everyone's frustration and Gutian's bragging, today's competition officially began.

"The Finals of the Cultivation Master Championship begins, please welco the contestants to the stage!"

As the announcent echoed around the Phoenix Nest, spotlights converged on the stage, illuminating one contestant after another.

Each contestant's entrance was accompanied by a beam of light and a brief introduction.

"The first to enter is Wang Junkai from Jingcheng University..."

"The second to enter is Yi Yang from Magic City University..."

"The third to enter is Qianxi from Jiangning..."

One after another, seven in total, seven beams of light fell, all standard and ordinary introductions.

But with the last one, things were different.

A brighter column of light fell upon a young man, as the introduction geared towards him began.

"The last contestant to enter, our genius contender, the most likely to claim the championship, with a performance that dazzled everyone, the strongest genius, Gu—Zhen—Tian!"

As the na Guzhentian was announced, the entire Phoenix Nest erupted.

One could say, at least half of the people here today were for Guzhentian.

And a large portion of those were girls.

They were quite satisfied with Guzhentian's entrance.

But just as their screams filled the air, the lights on the eight contestants suddenly went out, dimming the once bright stage.

The audience thought it was the darkness before dawn, that the stage's main lights would soon turn on.

However, after a long wait, the stage lights remained off.

As the audience was left bewildered, a series of footsteps sounded.

Then, the voice sounded once more over the stage.

"The introduction of the contestants is completed, next up for introduction, the judge of this competition!

He is a symbol of an era,

He is the embodint of miracles, in whose presence, so-called geniuses are just ordinary people with a bit more smarts.

Without him, the Cultivation thod would remain forever as a long dark night!"

"He is the historically youngest Master Level Cultivation Master, from Jiangnan University, Lu—Wu!"

With that uplifting announcent, an unprecedented beam of light fell upon the stage, shining on a ninth person who had appeared out of nowhere.

Under this beam of light, the otherwise 'Ordinary' Lu Wu beca exceptionally dazzling.

The street-smart guys in the standing area shuddered.

"Holy grass, isn't that my little brother?"
